Just booked one night for February 26th 4 1/2 *. Amenities: restaurant, pool, fitness, spa, tennis, customer favorite $109 Taxes and fees:21.95 Total Cost: $130.95 I am sending in the entertainment rebate, so my total cost is $100.95. I can't complain since the cheapest I can find this hotel otherwise is about $170. Thanks hotwire and better bidding!

I saw this hotel on the Travel Channel 'Great Hotels' show.

I was looking for a post-cruise hotel on the beach or in downtown fort lauderdale. I first bid $80 for a 4* in the beach zone (on the off chance I'd get the Hyatt) -- rejected I added Miramar and bid $85 -- rejected. Then I added 3* and bid $45 -- rejected. I added the downtown zone and bid $47 -- accepted. Your Offer Price: $47.00 Number of Rooms: 2 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $94.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $19.04 Total Charges: $113.04 Holiday Inn Fort Lauderdale Beach Check-In Date: Sunday, December 12, 2004 Check-Out Date: Monday, December 13, 2004 The best rate for this hotel on the Holiday Inn site is $96, and the best on Hotwire is $60, so I'm happy. Despite some of the negative reviews out there, I've stayed at this hotel before and had a nice time.

Thanks, thereuare. You know, you're OK for a Michigan fan (I'm a Badger alum, myself). I already tried using Priceline to get the Hyatt Pier 66 or the Mariott Marina. I went as high as $80. I didn't want to go any higher than that since the Sheraton Yankee Clipper is available on Hotwire for $94 and I have one of those Entertainment Book $30 coupons. If the 3 1/2* on the beach was the Embassy, I'd probably go for it since we could then get one room as opposed to two rooms. (We have 5 people). Since it's more likely the Doubletree, I'll probably pass. Thanks for the info on the Ramada. The appeal of the listing WAS the shuttle -- so if the shuttle isn't free, we're probably not interested. We're also considering the Amerisuites (using the DD gaurantee, of course). I'm waiting for Valutrips to email be back. Do you think I would be able to use my Entertainment Coupon if I submit a DD guarantee claim? Thanks so much for your help...I'll keep you posted.

I received this hotel on my first bid -- airport north area, 3 * $45. Your Offer Price: $45.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $45.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $11.80 Total Charges: $56.80 We arrived late at the hotel -- 2:30am. I asked the desk clerk for a king bed, he said no problem. He gave us an executive suite! We had a separate living room/board room (complete with a large table that could easily seat 8 people, large TV, sofa, and a wet bar)! Although I probably should have bid $40 rather than $45, I was very happy with the accomidations!

I initially bid 4* Downtown $55 -- rejected. Added free re-bid for $60 -- rejected. 2nd free re-bid for $65 -- accepted. I was really happy with the price -- especially for a weekend. I booked it on Thursday night for a Friday and Saturday night stay.

I needed to stay in Madison for one night. I wanted to stay either downtown or East Side. I initially bid $45 for downtown 3*..rejected. Does Anyone have any ideas as to what either of these two hotels might be?
