  1. 4* Hotel Indigo San Diego Gaslamp Quarter-Convention Center Here's where it is important to pay attention to where you are bidding! I needed Gaslamp Quarter not Gaslamp Quarter-Convention Center, my mistake. It's still within the area, just a bit of a walk to the venue I'm attending a concert at and didn't really want to drive and pay for parking. This hotel is one of many listed on PRICELINE EXPRESS, I had hoped for the listed Hotel Kimpton. The PRICELINE EXPRESS savings was only $36 compared to the listed rate, still a beautiful hotel for the price. Can't wait to sit on the rooftop and visit with friends.
  2. Used the PRICELINE link and based on a previous bidders win, I bid $82 and it was accepted right away. Have wanted to try this resort out for a while now as I've stayed at every hotel neighboring it.
  3. Used the PRICELINE link and bid $58. Response was that if I increased my bid to $72 in so many words it would be accepted, rather than wait another 24 hours and change my price or change the area I decided to do just that! I've paid a little less than this on previous trips but not by much. Enjoy this hotel, have never paid for parking, nice free shuttle to parks. Excellent restaurant choices nearby and a Target across the street to load up on water or supplies if needed. Starbucks at the property next door.
  4. Used the PRICELINE link. Currently $159 on Priceline, Bid $65 and accepted right away.Stayed in June last year, with name your own price & paid $81 so this is much better! Always enjoy my stay here, great service, clean rooms, central location, great bar & Restaurant only complaint is that there is no free visitor parking so my local friend has to park on the street which isn't easy until the evening when the Jeep dealer next door closes.
  5. Used your PRICELINE link & followed another posters recent bid, since I'm running out of negotiating time and got exactly what I wanted. Not a bad price for a weekend and last minute purchase.
  6. Used the PRICELINE link. Tried $68, they came back with wanting me to up my bid to $86 for a 4* in this area. I added Coronado to my choices instead and bid $78 and got the Hyatt Regency. Was really, really hoping for Paradise Point, a hotel I've previously won, but no go this time. La Jolla is a little bit far from where I usually like to stay-central Mission Valley or Mission Bay/beach area but it will do. The kids I'm taking with me for Spring Break will enjoy it anyway, we are just a short drive from watching the seals & enjoying La Jolla beaches. 2 nights $156.00 Taxes & Fees: $28.92 Total $184.92 Their avg daily rate right now is $143
  7. Last minute trip planning, used the PRICELINE link and got it on my first bid. Just the one I wanted too! We've stayed next door to this hotel before, even used their shuttle :D ,and had hoped to try it out some day. Cost of room per night $55.00 Rooms: 1 Nights: 2 Room Subtotal: $110.00 Taxes & Fees: $22.76 Total room cost:$132.76 This hotel is ideally located one mile from the Anaheim Convention Center and all Disneyland Theme Parks. It offers a free shuttle to each facility, an outdoor pool and on-site restaurant.Rooms at the Crowne Plaza Resort Anaheim are elegantly decorated and feature a 32-inch flat-screen TV, CD player and a refrigerator. Each is furnished with a work desk and a lounge chair for added comfort.A well-equipped gym and business center are on site of the Crowne Plaza Resort Anaheim Garden Grove. Guests can purchase Disneyland tickets and arrange other activities at the concierge desk. The California Grill is open all day and serves American and Mexican dishes. The Cantina Bar offers an extensive wine and beer list and signature margaritas. A buffet breakfast is also served daily.Knott's Berry Farm and Angel Stadium are within a 10-minute drive of this Garden Grove Crowne Plaza hotel
  8. $81 3.5* Mission Valley- Hotel Circle Area Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Our 3.5-star hotel suppliers include: Hilton, Millennium, Crowne Plaza, and other respected hotel brands. Happy with this hotel! Familiar with the area as I lived there 20 years. Most complain about the parking cost ($14) self park. This is the norm for a 3.5* hotel in this area. A very convenient location just off the freeway, 15-20 minutes to beach & bay, and shopping mall across the freeway. Current price on the Hilton site is $129.
  9. Bid $45 was rejected but the opportunity to increase the bid $15 more to $60 came up right away and I took it. Thought I'd win the Crowne Plaza like others that recently bid, but still very happy with this hotel.
  10. Found the hotel for $67 on another travel booking site so PRICELINE is refunding the difference plus $25, great customer service.
  11. Tried the day before for $65, added Garden Grove and was still denied. Today I changed my travel dates to the week after and the price to $72 and it was accepted. I was hoping for the Marriott Anaheim that I won last time but this resort looks nice too. I'm think that the week before is busier with Columbus Day holiday and the annual visit from Utah Education Association and families. I used the PRICELINE link here.
  12. Used your PRICELINE link and got the Hyatt on first try for $58! Shocked I could get it for that much on a weekend trip! Very happy! :)
  13. Great stay! We stayed a total of 3 nights. Having lived in San Diego and being familiar with area I knew there was plenty of parking on the street in front of the hotel so, I avoided the parking fee all 3 days by parking on the street. The employees are very nice at this hotel, every where we went we are greeted with a smile and a hello even from the valet after I parked on the street. Milk and cookies were served in the lobby at check in. The room had two beds, chair with ottoman and table, desk, tv cabinet and step out balcony. No refrigerator but I think if we needed one we could of called and gotten one. We were booked on the 10th floor, our view was looking west and overlooked the pool. There is a trolley that runs along the hotel but I could not hear it unless the sliding glass door was left open. If you don't have a car you can jump on the trolley, the station is within walking distance. The hotel was clean and comfortable and I heard no noise except the occasional door closing. The pool area is resort like with plenty of huge round cushion beds, reclining lounge chairs and tables to choose from. The spa was a little cool on one evening but once we informed an employee, maintenance was down there within minutes to fix it with a quick reset of the heater and it quickly heated up for us. There is a gift shop, bar and restaurant in the hotel but it is also close to shopping and other places to eat, I recommend Pat & Oscars. I can't say enough about the staff at this hotel, when my daughter had a tummy ache at the pool a waiter at the restaurant was kind enough to provide us with crackers and fruit to see if it would help, at no charge. Within a 10-15 minute drive you can be at the beach, the world famous zoo or downtown. It is currently rated 3.5 stars which I think is accurate.
  14. I loved this hotel, nice staff, older hotel kept up well with clean & comfortable rooms, newer looking carpet, spacious bathroom, I would of liked the sink outside the bath area but it was fine. No fan in the bathroom which I like in case there is noise in the hotel at night that I need to drown out. The ART shuttle makes runs from the front of the hotel to the park and back, no stopping at other hotels. I think I paid $4.00 each way for my daughter and I. I was given $8.00 off my parking fee for booking with Priceline. The parking garage services the hotel and convention areas so it can be very full, I felt safe walking to and from my car though there are plenty of security cameras around. My room was on the 8th floor facing the pool and air conditioning on the roof of the convention building below me which offered a pleasant hum to help me sleep. I didn't need views of the park because we were staying at the park for Fantasmic & Fireworks which didn't disappoint. We ordered room service just once for breakfast, the kids menu if very reasonable the rest of the menu-not so much. I ordered the kids cereal for my daughter which comes with two boxes of the single serve cereal, sliced fruit, juice or milk and a muffin for myself. There was plenty of cereal and fruit for the two of us I almost didn't need the muffin, I think I paid around $15.
  15. I had tried the day before for 3.5* downtown/harbor Island for $59 and it was declined. After some thinking the next day I decided I really didn't want to stay downtown with the traffic & noise when the Padres are playing and tried again for Mission Valley after a successful bid for a 3.5* 8/16-/8/18 a couple of days ago in which I got the Marriott for $69. I needed an additional night in San Diego where I fly out after a night in Anaheim. Decided to try for a lower amount and got it. Now wishing I bid lower for those other nights. :) Used the boards PRICELINE link
  16. $49 accepted first try, with fees =$62. Hope there is a shuttle. We've usually stayed at 2*'s across the street or at Candy Cane Inn. Beautiful hotel, my DD will love that pool! Can't think of a better way to close out the summer, a trip to Disneyland!
  17. $69.00 accepted first bid. New to the Board and first time user of PRICELINE. Was hoping for this one or Doubletree club.
