  1. I was able to get the Mayfair for Nov. 1 - 2 (Thurs) for $75, and the Westin Colonnade for the 2 - 3 (Fri) for $80. Wish we didn't have to move, but it is what it is! Here is what I always do, although my starting point varies based on the going rates! :-) 4* Coral Gables/Coconut Grove - $70 Added Miami Lakes - $72 Added North Miami - $75 Added Southwest Miami - $77 Added West Miami - $80 Good luck!
  2. This is a nice property. I was able to get it for 01/27 & 01/28 on Priceline for $80 as it is a weekend. The weekdays were definitely more expensive. Tried to get it for 01/26 as well, but have already bid up to $135 and cannot secure it. :-( Enjoy your stay.
  3. Definitely go with the 4* in Coral Gables/Coconut Grove - the area is so much nicer - lots of great stuff within walking distance regardless which hotel you get. Have been to all 4 of the 4*'s in the area, and have been very happy with all of them. The Mayfair seems to have been the primary winner lately, but you never know! Definitely better than the Hampton, and definitely better than Dadeland. Good luck!
  4. Just bought the wrong hotel. According to the amenities, this 4* in Coconut Grove/Coral Gables for 08/25-08/28 should have been the Sonesta, Westin Colonade, or Hyatt Coral Gables. Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Bus, High Speed Internet However, I got the Mayfair, which is listed here with the following amenities: 4* Mayfair Hotel Amenities: Suite, Boutique, Restaurant, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Tennis, Spa Very disappointed - did not want the Mayfair (hubby hates having outside hallways). :-(
  5. I believe I have checked the same property, and Spa does show up when you "see all" amenities at the "complete your booking" page
  6. Thanks all - it is the Marriott Boca Raton - $67 each room for 2 rooms, 1 night, Apr. 23
  7. Done. Thanks :-) - I didn't realize we were expected to go back and close the topic if we did not follow through with it.
  8. We weren't able to find out what this hotel was, so we decided not to stay in Turin.
  9. Good day, we did not do anything - did not stay in Turin after all as I had no idea what the hotel was. Do I need to go back to the Turin post to say this?
  10. Hi all, I need help IDing 4* Boca Raton area, 4/22 1 night $67 Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool Restaurant Bus. Center High Speed Internet Gold Nearby Thanks! (BTW - I used the betterbidding link to get to hotwire, but did not know how to link back to ask for help IDing)
  11. Good luck - hope it turns out okay. I was able to get the 4*, Mayfair in Coconut Grove for the 5th for $55. Always start only with 4*'s and try just adding areas that don't have 4* properties.
  12. Good day all, I need id'ing the following: 09/07/10, 1 night 4* Turin area hotel Restaurant, business, internet $89 This is the only hotel that comes up for Turin. Thanks all!
  13. We have changed our travel plans and won't be going to Miami just now.
  14. Thanks for the info. It's a higher price than we wanted to pay, but the property looks beautiful. I'll let you know what we decide to do.
  15. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this property! We're thinking of going at the beginning of February for 3 nights.
  16. I need help identifying a 4.5* Downtown Miami, 02/05/09 to 02/08/09 Amenities are listed as Boutique, non-smoking, pool, restaurant, Bus. Center, Golf, and Tennis It is listed at $145 Thanks!
  17. Started with $55 for Coral Gables, then added Downtown - accepted at $57. Woohoo! Online rate shows as$129, so this is less than 50% of lowest current rate. :)
  18. Thanks Jason, Since I no one else seems to have any ideas about either of these properties, we've gone ahead and booked something else. Still curious to hear what people think the 4* Customer Favorite in Coral Gables/Coconut Grove might be - for future reference! :-)
  19. Anyone have any ideas what this 3.5 * South Beach property is? 5/7 yo 5/9/08, $102 Suite, Boutique, Near Beach, Airport Shuttle, Pool, Restaurant, Laundery, High speed Internet Thanks
  20. The property showed with Fitness, pool, restaurant, business, high speed internet access, golf nearby, and spa services.
  21. We had no idea what property this would be. Actually, not true - I had hoped it would be the Rennaissance Plantation and was rather concerned when I found out it was this property (which is not listed). The reviews I had read left me with a sense of dis-ease. HOWEVER, we were pleasantly surprised. The front entrance to the newly renovated Hyatt Regency Bonaventure Conference Center and Spa was welcoming and very spa like. The front desk staff did not comment on our Hotwire reservation, and our request for a King N/S was honoured. The front desk manager even looked up our Hyatt Gold Passport number and registered it on the reservation without our needing to request that they do so. Our room was in building one on the third floor. It was a large room, beautifully decorated, really comfortable bed with a lot of space to work comfortably (desk, 2 tables) or store our stuff in the wardrobe. The bathroom was really well appointed, with beautiful marble floors and separate shower stall, and a stand alone tub. There was even a bidet in the washroom! The bathroom amenities were all Portico products and smelled absolutely heavenly! Once you venture further into the property, it is quite beautiful. We didn't have a chance to partake of the Spa services or the restaurants, but they looked like they were very extensive and I would definitely give them a try if I had more time. We were there with shopping on the brain. The Spa is not within walking distance of any restaurants or shopping, but if you have a car, it is very convenient (within 10 minutes drive) of many fabulous dining and shopping opportunities. There is no charge for parking. Would definitely return to this property at this rate.
  22. PS It shows as $113 May 7 to 15. Similar listing shows as $173/night May 7 to 10 - same amenities, also 4* Coral Gables/Coconut Grove Customer Favourite with fitness, pool, restaurant, business, internet
  23. Greetings, Anyone know which of the properties the 4* Customer Favourite in Coconut Grove is? The amenities look the same for the Hyatt, Sonesta, and Westin. I'm not sure which this is. Help please! Thx
  24. This appears to be a new addition to the list - I hadn't seen it on any winners boards - 4*, South Beach, Hotel Nash, $100 Apr. 13 1 night. First tried $75, 4* South Beach; went up to $85 and added Miami Lakes (knowing there is no 4* there); then $95, adding SW Miami; the $100 adding Dadeland. Haven't heard anything about this property - anyone else know? I had hoped for the Royal Palm, but it's always good to try somewhere new!
