  1. Started with $45 and increased bids by $5 using rebid zones. Booked 2 rooms at this price.
  2. My 1st bid and they accepted it. May be I should have started lower. Anyway I am very pleased. 1 Night 8/222/07.
  3. I bid for a 2.5* at $45 and got this Holiday Inn Miami International Hotel. Reviews do not look very good, but the price seems very low. So I am happy.
  4. The hotel I received was not the Wyndham Palace, It was Wyndham Orlando Resort (Near Universal Studios)
  5. Started with $35 and kept increasing it by $5. After I won this hotel I read the reviews here and was very disappointed in my win. After checking into this Hotel, I must say I am very happy with my win. I do not know why others have negative comments but I got a very clean and spacious room in a resort setting. The entire resort looks neat and clean.
  6. Couldn't get Hyatt again for $90 so dropped to 3* and started with $40 and kept increasing by $5 untill it was accepted. Last January (2005) I got this hotel for $50. Obviously prices in Tampa has gone up.
  7. Started with $50 and kept increasing it by $5 until it was accepted
  8. Started at $40 for a 4* at LAX. Upped the offer $5 and rebid with new locations until I won Westin.
  9. Try asiarooms.com. I have used them many times. Considering taxes and breakfast is included in their prices you can not beat them. They have many hotels to choose from.
  10. You could have booked this hotel for $118 with all taxes and breakfast included. I travel to Singapore couple of times a year, and I find booking elsewhere is better than priceline. This is a very good hotel, by the way.
  11. Bid $65 for 4* at the airport and was denied. Increased bid to $70 and added Downtown, and won Hyatt Harborside at the airport. Excellent hotel buy. Travelocity shows $310 as the lowest price. I booked 2 rooms at this rate. Very happy with the win.
  12. Not very happy with this win. I was hoping for the Marriott. My original bid was for Marina Bay and was hoping to get Pan Pacific. Started bid at $50 for a 5* in Marina Bay, rejected. Increased bid to $55, rejected. Droped to 4* and increased bids (not in one day) upto $65, rejected. Added Orchard Rd and increased bid to $70, but didn't realize 4* was greyed in for Marina Bay and Orchard Rd. I wanted the 5* Marriott which others have gotten for this price. I am not sure I would have gotten the Marriott for $70, but I kick myself for overlooking the greyed out 4* selection.
  13. I want to bid using Priceline Singapore, for a hotel room in Singapore. My credit card address is in USA. Am I stuck with Priceline USA or is there a way around it. Thanks.
  14. Bid 4* at $60 and got rejected. Reduced rating to 3* and bid $50 and got the Quorum.
  15. Bid $50 for a 4* in Tampa airport/Westshore got rejected. Added Brandon and increased bid to $55, got rejected. Dropped to 3* at $45 got rejected. Increased bid to $50 and won. I initially thought this was the Marriott westshore which would have been nice, because parking is free. Airport Marriott charges $12 a day for parking. But I am happy because the lowest rate I find for this hotel for this day is $229. Plus it has very good reviews.
  16. Made reservation with Hertz online for $42 a day with AAA discount. They were the only ones with cars available. I made the reservation just 1 day prior. Decided to try Priceline just for the fun of it at $25 and was accepted on the first try. I was very surprised to get it, since there was a shortage of cars that day. Cancelled my reservation with Hertz online. Your Offer Price: $25.00 Total Rental Days: 3 Subtotal: $75.00 Taxes & Fees: $26.40 Total Charges: $101.40
  17. After staying at Westin one night we checked in to Courtyard by Marriott. I won this hotel for $35. The desk clerk was very curteous and checked us in fast. We were given a room on the 4th floor. We had a partial view of the runway. Room was spacious and very clean. Lots of closet space and drawers. Parking is valet only and cost $12. Broadband internet connection is free. Small bottles of water in the room cost $2 each, but we didn't drink any. On the way from the airport the driver offered us cold water and soft drinks, complimentary. The room looked a bit larger than the Westin. Very pleased with the bid and the stay at this hotel. :)
  18. This was my first hotel stay, won on Priceline.com. I booked the room for 1 night at a rate of $50. I wasn't sure how they would treat me, since I paid so little for this room. But to my surprise, I did not notice any difference. We arrived at LAX at 8AM and rented a car and arrived at the hotel 9:30am. I asked if they had a room ready that early. The reservation agent was very courteous and promised to have a room ready within the hour. I told him we will come back later. We returned at 2pm and another reservation agent checked us in. He was also very courteous and gave us a room on the 8th floor. Room was very nice and clean. We had a view of the run way. Eventhough we were close to the runway, noice was minimal and we thoroughly enjoyed watching planes land and take off. I have traveled the world over and usually stay at high end hotels. This is one of those hotels and this time I ended up paying less than half of what I have paid before. Thanks to Priceline.com.
  19. I needed one night on 11/1/2004 and made a bid for a 4* at $50, but got rejected. So I decided to bid a 3* hotel at the LAX airport for $35. That also got rejected. I kept the price the same but dropped down to a 2.5* and got Courtyard by Mariott. :) Their web site shows the lowest rate at $149. What a deal.
  20. This is my first post. I travel often, but have never used a bidding service before. I read about people getting hotel rooms for very low prices from Hotwire and Priceline at Flyertalk.com, and decided to give it a try. People also talked about this site, and with help I got from this site I made a bid at Priceline for a LAX airport hotel 4* at $50. To my surprise my first bid was accepted and I got the Westin. :) I needed another night on 11/1/2004 and made another bid for the same hotel at the same price, but got rejected. So I decided to bid a 3* hotel at the LAX airport for $35. That also got rejected. I kept the price the same but dropped down to a 2.5* and got Courtyard by Mariott. :) Their web site shows the lowest rate at $149. What a deal. Thanks for this great web site. I will be using it regularly for my future travels.
