The hotel is located off Interstate 70 and Fairlawn Road - easy on-off access if you are traveling by car. Shopping, restaurants, and a movie theater are less than 3 miles away. The hotel smells of light pool odor as you walk in, usually I don't like that but this hotel was a bit different as far as the pool (read below) At check-in, a credit card and ID were requested for incidentals (room service and movies). The person assisting then said the rooms had been paid for in full via Hotwire. This lead to a three minute discussion about how the person assisting with check-in thinks Hotwire and how the service is lacking and misleading to the consumer. I said I was satisfied...and lead to some very unprofessional and rude comments about how others who have used Hotwire have in essence "abused" the hotel and they made it quite clear that they did not want the Hotwire business. -- the downtalking of Hotwire was the only thing I did not like about my stay. I was given clear directions to a nearby Italian restaurant at the front desk. The hotel is somewhat atrium style, a row of rooms look the outside, and the other side of the hall look towards the middle of the hotel and pool area. The pool is enclosed by a 3-4 foot high fence, no doors, walls, etc. As soon as you enter the hotel the pool is in the middle. The pool is rather large and has a 3 story waterslide. There were a few people using the pool and I would classify the environment as kid-friendly. The restaurant on-site offers room service until 10PM daily. I did not eat at the restaurant or have room service, but the restaurant was clean and reminded me of a saloon/bowling alley restaurant. I traveled with a handicapped individual, and based on what they said, they would not recommend this hotel for those who have walking difficulties. The parking lot is located on a hill (think parking brake and "how do i stay in place during winter"), and the parking nearest the doors (for room access - controlled access) are located up two steps. My companion was not able to do the two steps or hill, so I dropped them off at the front door. Then maybe another 100 feet to the nearest hotel room. The room was spacious, had a couch across from a TV; standard room layout. The king size bed had two "sleeping" pillows and one decorative pillow. There were no extra pillows or blankets in the room. The bed was comfortable for me, not hard as a rock and not over used. The bathroom was very small. Either close the door or leave it open all the way, the clearance was about an inch from the toilet, and hit the bathtub before it was open "all the way." I had to move to the back of the toilet to close the door and eventually learned not to shut it unless I was using the shower because it was too much effort to move. The amenities in the bathroom included the standard soaps, lotion, and shampoo along with two brand-name make-up remover cloths, something I have never seen before. I was very pleased with this find :)
