  1. $33.00 9/24-10/2/11 This is the second time in a couple years that I have won a bid for this hotel. It is a decent facility right across the street from Old Town. I did have reservations to sleep on the ground at Ft. Wilderness for $10 bucks a night more! I have a season pass to WDW so don't need the Free parking, dont use the dinning plan, and seldom use extra magic hours anyway, So I pulled the trigger!
  2. Offer Price:$30 for 1 star, received upgrade on first bid to 2 star, hotel is listed as 3 diamond by AAA July 23-25, 2005 Free WiFi, Indoor pool/exercise area, Continental breakfast
  3. Resturanut, pool, business center, laundry. Went this rt. after failing to win priceline, at 46.00, Lowest rate on Holiday Inn website was 109.00. Cheap trip after United gave me two free tickets for bumping me twice and leaving me stuck in Chicago for 6 hrs on my way back from Disneyland. So a trip to Disneyworld seemed an appropriate use. :)
  4. Has this hotel been downgraded to 2.5 stars on priceline?, Its still 3 on Hotwire, its consistantly the lowest price, 3 years running; in the far reaches of the disney area. Its really convienent its driveway is straight off the northbound 5 ramp and its a short drive on side streets to Knott's ( you just follow your eyes to the Supreme Scream which is visable to south facing rooms). And a short 10 min drive to DLR.
  5. Yes it was, some friends bid 55 and got the Crown Plaza, so I was trying for that. Now that I told him what I got for 5 bucks a night less he is a little jelious. :) Looking at other bids, maybe i could have done even a few bucks better; but its still a great deal so I won't complain. Knott's Winter Coaster Solace, here we come!
  6. This is my first time visiting the DL/Knott's area without staying in La Mirada, at the Holiday Inn Select. After looking on the other sites it looks like most hotels in the Disney area are booked for wednesday and thursday night, even the Park vue inn (2*) shows a rate over 80 a night., I already had it booked for 64 but wanted somthing nicer.
  7. last min. trip, all WDW resorts are full, so after a glance on Hotwire, I underbid the same area by 12 bucks a night and won the bid. Internet rate for 2 Q room is 114.00
  8. Nov 12-17 th I just got this for my first 5 nights in Florida before 5 nights at PoP Century Amenities: Pool, Golf near buy, Laundry
  9. Yes, I gave you the Hotwire Zone name, i forgot they use different area names on each service.
  10. this was actually 1.00 a day more than Alamo's website, but I wanted to prepay, so the extra doller was worth the convienence. Why do they give cars away in LA? :)
  11. This is the same hotel I usually get on Hotline instead for 35 to 37 bucks, so now its on both lists, nice hotel, convienent to I-5, Knotts Berry Farm and just few miles from Disneyland.
  12. I'm in the lobby now, this hotel eventhough rated only 2 star, is nicer than many 3 stars i have stayed in over the last year. It is freshly remodeled. Also the hotel made the mistake of putting the hotwire rate on my receipt. I paid hotwire 45, the amount on the bill was 35.99 so it looks like Hotwire marks up 10 and then adds the service fee on top of that! I will post a full review on the review section when I return home.
  13. I tried to get a hotel near Kings Dominion, but tried all the way up to 45 for Ashland, and the Glenn Allen, suburban areas. I finnaly added Innsbrook and i got my bid for 38.00, the funny thing is the hotel has a Glenn Allen Address! not the best deal Ive gotten, but still 30 bucks less then the lowest rate on the Candlewood website! Candlewood Suites Richmond West 4120 Brookriver Dr. Glen Allen, VA 23060
  14. Tried bids from 30 up to 40 on priceline before settling on the 2* Hotwire offerings, for the northern DC suburbs. I looked at the packages first to see that the 2 star shown would probably be the Holiday Inn, Its right next to the Interstate, and makes me a great stopover on the way to Kings Dominion Saturday! Amenities: Resturanunt, Pool, Fitness Center, Business Center, Guest Laundry 2 Montgomery Village Ave. Gaithersburg, MD
  15. Buena Park - Cerritos - Cypress 7032 Orangethorpe Avenue Buena Park, California 90621 Down the street from Knotts Berry Farm this is the first time i bid for a 2 star, but only needed a place to sleep after a red eye from Atlanta, and it gives me a day to use the last day of my disneyland parkhopper before heading back to Indianapolis! :)
  16. wow cars are high that week in Atlanta, cheapest Alamo rate was 36.95 a day! its sad when my compact in Atlanta is only a doller less per day than an SUV in LAX the day before!
  17. with tax and fees, 204 and change Didnt save alot vs Allamo, but 20 bucks total is 20 bucks, and its paid for,
  18. 5990 Green Valley Circle Culver City, CA 90230 Pool, Resturaunt, workout room, business center Close to LAX
  19. We got this hotel again for 5 nights, March 3-March 8 Three Rooms, for $35.00 a night or $200.04 per room with fees and tax. Amenities: Resturaunt, Pool, Fitness Center, Business Center and Laundry
  20. I got this Hotel on a 35.00 bid using priceline, after reading reviews at other sites i was a little aprehensive about my stay. I have to say my fear was unneeded. This Hotel is one of the oldest resorts on I-Drive, so it is sprawling and made up of about 16 seperate two story villias with about 40 rooms each most with outside entrances. The Hotel is going thru a remodeling and the priceline rooms of course were next to the site, but the noise did not start till after one is normally up while in the land of Amusment park overload. We also had to park on the wrong side of our building as the lot on ourside was not completed, yet. The room we were assigned in building 14 was rather small and dated for a three star, but was as good or better than any 2.5 star room. It was a double double with very comfortable beds, but the room should have been a single queen or king for its size, it was clean but the furnishings were past there prime. This room was fully acceptable for three single quys on vacation but would have been tiny for a family of 4. Our building was like someone ploped down a couple Holiday Inn wings in the middle of an otherwise beautiful Resort. The Grounds and pools made up for any shortcomming in the rooms, there were three huge pools one with and outdoor bar next to it and a large Hottub near by. There was also a large gift shop complete with ice cream parlor. The facilities also included a great qym/spa building. This complex was very comfortable and relaxing the facilities were far better than expected. I would rate the rooms as 2 to 2.5 and the grounds and facilities as 3.5-4.0. As my brother kept telling everone he met, "Its the nicest place I ever stayed!"
  21. After comparing Hotwire, the regular travel sites, Alamo and Budget I bid this rate, it replaces the same car at Alamo.com which was reserved for a total of $223.74 and change, the Priceline total was 187.45 a savings of 36.29 8 days for the price of 6! So 3*hotel and compact car for 8 days in Orlando, thanks to Priceline= $510.92
  22. I first bid $30 was rejected but given option to rebid for 8.00 more. instead I Changed date by one day and bid 5.00 more and won the bid.
