I think there have been quite a few questions about this 3* condo property in Princeville. Drum roll please... Castle at Princeville Near Beach, Oceanfront, 1 Bedroom Suite, Fully-equipped Kitchen, Free Parking, Washer and Dryer in Room, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Front Desk, Laundry Facilities (self-service), Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby Rate per night: $107.00 Nights: 2 Rooms: 1 Tax recovery charges & fees: $40.57 Subtotal: $254.57 Trip total: $254.57 I read a review on TripAdvisor and the person stated they booked on Hotwire and were given a studio. I reached out to Hotwire to ask what I should do if they try to give me a studio instead of a 1 bedroom unit as well (waiting for response). Looking forward to my first trip to Hawaii! :)

Rate per night: $51 Nights: 2 Rooms: 1 Tax recovery charges & fees: $24.18 Subtotal: $126.18 Rate for 2 nights was about the same rate for 1 night. Used HOTWIRE link.

Hotwire hot Rate - $18.95 Days - 3 Taxes and Fees - $21.67 Total - $78.52 On Hertz, rate was $40.49 per day ($154.88 total) Used HOTWIRE link. Tried $16 on PRICELINE, but it was declined and I didn't want to fuss with it again because I saw the HOTWIRE rate at $19.95 before.

Base Price Per Day: $13.95 x 7 days Taxes and fees: $35.85 Total: $133.50 I originally bid $10 and $11 on Priceline for an economy car and bids were not accepted. I didn't want to risk losing out on a good deal, because prices have increased quite a bit over the last week. Earlier today, I priced the economy car on Hotire for $14.95 and therefore decided to buy at $13.95 this evening using the HOTWIRE link on betterbidding.

On the first try, keyed in... 02/19/10 - 02/21/10 $10 per day $36.97 total I typically rent economy or compact and just thought I'd try midsize. Had I known bid was going to be accepted, I would've gone with a smaller car at a lower rate. Oh well, still saved almost $5.00.

Total bill, with taxes, was $228.54 Amenities include: Studio, Air Conditioning, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Front Desk, Laundry Facilities, Condo From what I have read, the studio has two full sized beds, TV, table for 2, and kitchenette with Coffee Maker, Cooking Utensils, Dishes, Microwave & Mini Refrigerator. I've read a number of reviews and guests have complained about $12 per day parking fee. I'm not looking forward to that (oh well).

Received the following from Hotwire... We regret that the hotel is not able to offer the Slopeside that was listed on our site. Therefore, there are only two amenities - Near beach and Pool(s)

Thanks. Just curious...I noticed there are rooms at the Grand Sierra Hotel and The Summit at the Grand Sierra Resort. Based on the 4* rating, do you think my room assignment would be a toss up at either location? Of, is it safe to say I might get a room at the Summit?

Purchased three nights for $33 per night ($119.92 total) on 06/27/09. Amenities include: Near beach, slopeslide, and pool(s) Mixed reviews online and star rating might be off on Hotwire (Expedia has this hotel listed as a 1 star hotel). From what I can tell, Hotwire's star rating system doesn't match up with what the hotel has. So, I'm a little nervous about my stay and savings wasn't all that much.
