  1. Thank you both for the excellent replies. This has to be one of the harder searches that I have done. There seems to be a million different options. Since we are not planning on going to Disney often, you want to get the first trip right. The convenience of staying on property seems like it might be worth it. I have found places on Priceline, like the New Orleans French Quarter, etc for around $200. This would allow us to take a break mid-day and use a pool with a slide. Thank you very much for getting me started on the search.
  2. We are planning a trip to Disney with our 7 year old daughter in Feb. the dates are 2/24-2/29. Looking for suggestions on a nice hotel. 3.5 to 4. Are we better off staying on Disney property or off site? Should we rent a car? I'm assuming that we will spend a lot of time at Disney. Thanks !
  3. Thank you. I will educate my wife more on the site. I actually used the PRICELINE links and made the regular rate purchase. She just wanted a sure thing.
  4. Thank you to everyone for all of your input about our trip to Pittsburgh. My wife found a deal on Priceline for the Sheraton at $99. This was only slightly higher than the likely option on Hotwire. So, she booked it just to be safe. We really appreciate the incline suggestion. We took the incline to Mt. Washington for breakfast, and had a good time. The pool was also perfect for our 7 year old daughter, and a nice way to break up our trip from the Midwest back to Maryland. Thanks!
  5. That is great, thank you for your input. We have a 7 year old daughter. Is one in a more walkable area if we go out to eat? Is one pool superior? Thank you very much, and we will keep you posted on the result

  7. Looking for a dog friendly hotel with an indoor pool tomorrow night in downtown or near Pittsburgh. Cohos Hotwire popped up -80$. Originally 178. Pet friendly 4 star. 90 percent approval. Any ideas would be great. We are looking for a stop over on our trip east that our child can go swimming. Thanks
  8. Yes, the amenities are - pet friendly, indoor pool(s), smoke free, fitness center, pools, restaurant, business center, Internet, accessible path of travel, in room accessibility, accessible bathroom, accessible parking. Thanks!
  9. I moved forward with the $92 offer. It was the Westin. I have stayed there a bunch, and like it a lot. Thanks!
  10. Yes, it is now showing the 4.5 room at $92 on 11/8. Two more amenities are - fitness center, and smoke free rooms.
  11. Thank you! It is actuall for 1 room on the night of 11/8. I think the 4.5 star went up a little since my post. I will check again. What would be the best estimate for a 4 star on Priceline. Do I need to start a separate Priceline thread?
  12. Yes, thank you for all of your help. We did end up staying at the Westin. It has been awhile ago, but it was slightly less than the $150. I think it was 145$.
  13. Hello, I am looking for a 4 star hotel at a good rate this weekend. There is a 4 star property with 85% approval at a price of $91. I am having trouble determining the hotel. The amenities are - business center, indoor pool(s), Internet, restaurant, and pet friendly. Any help determining the hotel would be great. My best guess is the Omni, but I am not sure. Also, do you think that I could get a better property on priceline for slightly more than the $91? Thanks!
  14. The westin is a great location. If you are reasonably certain this is the hotel, I will pull the trigger. It's actually dropped a little. I know there are no sure things.
  15. Thank you for your help. It looks like every zone is a rebid option for a 4 star? Two questions, for the 150 hotwire option, do you have anyy idea a put the hotel? Also, what would be a reasonable amount to bid above 90 that might be successful? Thanks!
  16. I called, and it sounds like University Place is being converted to student housing, and a conference center. Yes, bidding on PRICELINE would be great. My max bid would be in the 85 range. Thanks
  17. Thank you Yellowdog! Listed below are the three 4 star options. The hotel on HOTWIRE has the following specifics - list price 219, sale price 153, 90 % favorable review Amenities - pet friendly, pool, no smoking, fitness, dining, business center, high speed Internet, 36 wide hac access, in room accessible. The other hotwire option is 202, 85 % favorable, same ammenities except the handicap features are access for blind and deaf. On PRICELINE EXPRESS, the price is 152, 8.0 rating, free Internet. Pets allowed, restaurant, business center, pool, and fitness center. Do you know if University Place hotel and Conference center has closed? If so, I would be far more comfortable using priceline to bid on a 4 star for these dates. Thanks!
  18. We are looking to book either by Hotwire or Priceline for the weekend of October 19th I. Downtown Indy. There are a couple of listings for 4 star hotels on priceline express and hotwire for a reasonable rate. They are both listed with a pet friendly icon. Does anyone have a feel for what this might be? An suggestions would be great. Our budget is up to 150 per night and we want to get the best value close to Lucas Oil. We definitely want to avoid the University Place hotel which is too far from downtown. Thanks!
  19. I ended up using HOTWIRE. The hotel was in fact the Holiday Inn express near the Hampton Coliseum. The price ended up being 60 per night for 6/7. & 6/8. Thank you very much for all of your input.
  20. Can anyone suggest a priceline strategy for this zone and a similar hotel level? Would it be possible to get it for less than the 59?
  21. Thank you Yellow Dog! Yes there were a few more amenities. They include high speed Internet access, accessible for blind, deaf. Accessible travel pathways.
  22. 100 percent on reviews, free parking, Internet, and breakfast. 3 star
  23. On Hotwire, there is 3 star listed in the Hampton area for 59, originally 114. Could this be the Hollywood Inn Express. That might be OK.
  24. Sure thing about the links. I would like to stay as close to the historic district as possible. Stay June 8, leaving June 9. Around 75 is my budget, maybe a little more for a higher star level. However, it looks like mostly 2-2.5 star range hotels nearby.
  25. I am looking for a hotel this Sat. Night in Hampton,VA. Any suggestions on a strategy To get a hotel? I would like to find something near the historic district. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find much information. Thank you for your help!
