Need 5 rooms for Austin--October 22-25, 2010. Group requested downtown (zone 8). Tried for the 'moon' with 4 stars only. Added zone 5 and tried again (no 4 stars in zone 5 but it allowed quicker rebid). Now I'm starting to 'scramble' as I'd like to have this sorted out within a day or so. Next strategy is to remove zone 5 but add 3.5 star in zone 8. Don't want to overpay in this zone--so I've researched winning bids. Seem to be under $100 in general--but this is a busy weekend in Austin. $165 was my max since the added fees are almost $500 for 5 rooms. (total for 5 x 3 nights ~ $2900) Suggestions?
