We are coming to Chicago to watch the Colorado Rockies play the Cubs. Besides taking in everything around Wrigley, we want to cram in as much of the city as we can on the day and half we have left. We are planning on museums, probably some type of tour (bus or duck or whatever), and FOOD. Also the $250 is per night, but I'd like to stay as close to that as possible (so $250ish with tax). Yes I am interested in the Magnolia Hotwire offer. I called the Magnolia yesterday after my failure with Priceline BEFORE trying to see what Hotwire had available. Still contemplating offer.

Sorry for mistake in Topic - should be 9/25 & 9/26 No luck for 3.5* - 4* in Downtown Denver for 9/25 & 9/26. Bid up to $110. Just a heads up for everyone looking for these dates! I Got frustrated and did a little research. A lot of the hotels downtown are completely booked (according to their web sites). Specifically The Curtis, The Sheraton, Courtyard by Marriot, The Crowne Plaza and the Oxford. Looked on the Denver Convention Center web site and saw that the Great American Beer Festival is that weekend. Called the Magnolia and the desk person told me that they are so busy that weekend they are requiring a 2 night minimum.
