In our experience in Vegas having gone a fair few times, there are more 2-queen rooms than 1-king rooms at most if not all hotels...this would make sense as 2 queen beds can accomodate a couple as well as various other combinations of visitors. That doesn't mean you will definately get 2 beds - but in our experience someone requesting 1-king is more likely to end up with 2- queens than the other way around. But if you're booking for 2 and 4 are staying in the room, remember that 2 people won't be on the reservation so won't be able to get a key to get into the room if they lose theirs. You may also want to consider tipping the maid a bit as it will likely be obvious there are more than 2 people in the room. Hotwire prices are higher for more than 2 people as the hotels normally charge more for more than 2 people...personally I'd be worried of getting caught and having to pay more for the extra people but people do do this regularly.
