I booked the 4* River North hotel for $222 per night (price went up a little later in the day), and it is indeed the Hotel Chicago Downtown. Thanks so much for your help!

Based on your earlier recommendation of the River North area, it looks like 4* River North at $215 would be the one for me to book. As I will be traveling alone, safety is my top concern. So preferably the place would be one that is safe enough for me to get to and from my dinners.

I will be in Chicago 6/8-6/12, traveling by myself, to visit some sights and eat my way through all the awesome restaurants. I would like to stay in the River North, Mag Mile, Gold Coast area. Preferably the hotel rooms cost me lass then $2256 per night (before taxes). Amenities are not important to me - I just need a comfortable room in a safe area to retreat to at the end of the day. Thanks for the tip! I'd gone ahead and booked the Hotel Palomar as a backup; the price was a little higher this morning when I checked, but seemed to have come back down to $216. I will try one more round on PRICELINE, and see if I can something closer to $180. Thanks again!

Need assistance with bidding strategy for 4* hotel in Brentwood/Westwood in LA. Dates: 8/9 - 8/11 Area: Brentwood/Westwood Stars: 4* Max bid: $180 I had started my bids at $120, and worked my way up to $170, using the 4 free rebid zones. Still no luck so far.
