Thank you for your help. I thought hard about booking this property, but ....... I decided to book a room at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Stamford for 90 dollars because when I added the parking fee and breakfast to the 65 dollars, the price came out to be about the same. We stayed at this property a few years ago and were pleased.

I took a chance and booked this property blindly because of the 'suite' amenity. The property is Beckman Tower Hotel. Paid $142 for 2a, 2c. Called the hotel and had I done more research, I could have reserved it for $166. Still a decent price for the MTE.

I am truly confused as what to do. I first posted a question last week seeking info on info of a hotel in nyc. Then yesterday I asked two different states - NY and CT for different dates. You told me that I needed to close my first post which I just did - my plans had changed. what must i do to start these 2 new searches? thamk you.

May is college graduation month in Boston, so many rooms have been booked months ago.

If this is the Hilton, we stayed there over a year ago, right after it changed names from the Wyndham. Was very nice. Good location. If you have your car, the best place to park is the underground garage in front of the Meridian Hotel - all day on Saturday is $9, I believe. Parking on the street on Sunday is free.

What are your parking needs? Sunday is free all day on street and so is MLK day. It may be worth it to park at the hotel - probably lots of $ on Saturday - even there are underground parking lots that charge, i believe $9 for all day Sat parking and do free street parking on Sunday and Monday.

Since you want to stay in this particular hotel, I would nix the PRICELINE / HOTWIRE route since as correct as these boards are with identifying the hotel (you guys who manage these boards are wonderful!), I know that if this was me, I'd feel safer dealing with the hotel directly.

Since you are staying overnight on a Saturday, you're lucky as far as parking. Street parking is FREE on Sundays. I suggest you do the following: Once you confirm your hotel, you can either park underground across from Le Meridian Hotel - I think the hotel has changed names. Parking for the day is $9. Or you can park on the street, meters are for up to 2 hours. If you opt for the meters, you will need to feed them every two hours which may be a pain depending where you are. I think that after 8pm on Saturday is free. If you'd like, I'll be happy to direct you to your parking options once you have confirmed your hotel.

Would you consider staying in the Stamford/Greenwich area of Connecticut? We've stayed in that area via HOTWIRE / PRICELINE and took the train into NYC - less than an hour train ride into GCT.

Will you be driving into Boston? If so, what plans do you have for your car during your stay?

Thank you for your help. Knowing the hotel before booking is awesome! It is the Comfort Suites. I called the hotel yesterday and was told that the lowest rate for tonight is $71. Knowing the ammenities via Hotwire is the best reason to choose HOTWIRE over PRICELINE. Although the hotel reviews are mixed on Trip Advisor, we've stayed in Comfort Suites before - they've been fine. And, for us, to do a quick get a way at a reasonable price, before the kids return from camp is great!
