  1. I tried the $20 sandwich trick at the Palazzo this past weekend and it worked perfectly. We were upgraded from the standard suite to a Fortuna suite which is much larger with a strip view. Thanks for this website again...
  2. I was bidding on a 5* North Strip hoping to win the Venetian, Wynn or Palazzo. Started at about $100 per night using rebid zones for a couple of days. I bid $130 and was given a counter offer for $165. I used a rebid zone and bid $134 and it was accepted. The normal price is about $220 per night. Nice Savings overall... I did follow the PRICELINE links from this site. Thanks!!!
  3. We will be attending a function in this area and was hoping to get this hotel. Tried $50 - Declined. Added Airport area and changed price to $58 - Declined. Added Tucson (Central) and raised price to $61 - Accepted. Best price booking direct was $149 and shows $108 on HW... Sounds good to me. I used the PRICELINE links from this awesome resource... Thanks
  4. I've had some time to book another Disney trip so I was a bit surprised at the low rate I received. Here is how I worked it... Orange County - Disneyland/anaheim 3.5* Bid $39 - Declined + new rebid zone Orange County - Anaheim Hills Bid $40 - Please note no 3.5* hotel listed on this site + new rebid zone Orange County - Disneyland/Orange 3.5* and changed bid to $41 - Accepted We won Doubletree Hotel Anaheim/Orange. Not a bad price for a Fri/Sat/Sun night stay considering we are not going until May 15 - 17 I used the PRICELINE links provided on the site... Thanks for all the savings.
  5. I wanted to stay in Flagstaff tonight so our daughter could play in the snow. We initially tried to get a resort up to $60 with no success. Tried 3* adding Flagstaff first at $40 and then $45 but received no success. I then tried to go to a 2 1/2 star and lowered the price to $42 with success. We won the Springhill Suites on South Beulah Blvd. As described on their website this is a new hotel with breakfast included. I looked at prices and the same room was going for $109. I think this was a great deal.
  6. We are adding the grand parents to the Disney trip and thought I'd get them a 4* property. They are staying an additional night so I was not able to use the original priceline request. I followed the rebidding strategy as outlined in this forum and was up to $64 with no success. Before changing my star level to 3.5 I decided to reduce the price to $50 and add Newport Beach. I didn't think I'd get anything but to my surprise I got the Hyatt Newport Beach. The hotel has very mixed reviews but it's a 50% discount. How can we complain about that??? The grand parents are not picky at all and they have not seen the ocean in about 15 - 20 years so they are excited. Next time I will wait the 24 hours and try again using the 3.5 star level and lower the price further. I could have saved a few bucks too... Oh well.
  7. Going to Disney again and won the 3.5* Doubletree for two nights at $46 per night. I was declined at $42 and then added Anaheim Hills and got it. It's a couple miles from Disney but can't complain with $46... I've used priceline for several rooms using the PRICELINE link above. Couldn't be easier...
  8. I've been trying to get a 5* Vegas hotel for 7/11(Sat) - 7/12 and bid up to $95 with no success starting around $80 and going up a few dollars each day. During this same time period I was using a second attempt going for a 4* starting at $60. I finally received an accepted bid at $75 for the night at the 4* Westin Casuarina. I used both the north strip and south strip areas. This was not my first choice but it looks like a great deal. How much sleep do we really need for a quick turnaround Vegas trip anyway??? I also used the PRICELINE links from this website.... Thanks for the great website.
