  1. Won the Hilton El Conquistador Resort. Very happy with win as this was the hotel I really wanted because my little boy will love the pools at this hotel. Very happy with the $80.00 price as other websites lowest price for the same days was $181.00. Check in March 24th check out March 26th. Amenities listed were Resort, Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, High speed Internet, Golf nearby, Tennis Nearby, Spa Services. Showed a 95% satisfaction rate and was rated 4 out of 5 on Trip advisor. This is what made me almost certain it was the Hilton and not the West Look because everything about the 2 hotels is the same except trip advisor has the hilton at 4 out of 5 and the West Look at 4.5 out of 5. The other resort in the area the Omni was sold out so I knew it wasn't that one. Hope this helps someone else!
  2. Hotwire had a 3.5 star listed for $63.00 with the following amenities available. Amenities Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access I booked it in the morning of the 1/27/11 for that night. Rate- $63.00 tax and service fees- $14.15 Total- $77.15 This was an awesome deal considering the regular rate was $139.00. The hotel was very nice with a pizza place, starbucks and Krispy Creme in the lobby. When my husband and I checked in the desk clerk said we were confirmed for 1 night in a double bed. She was very friendly and my husband ask if we could have a king size bed and she obliged. I am visibly pregnant so I don't know if this is normal procedure to upgrade to a king for free or if she just did it because of my big belly:)
  3. I noticed that Travelocity now has top secret hotels. Do you plan to include these in the forum in the future and has anyone booked a top secret hotel yet?
  4. Wanted to follow up after my trip. The hotel was actually in a good and safe location close to the Everett Mall. The front desk person that checked us in was wonderful. The room was basic but did have a small kitchen area. The bed was only a queen size and the mattress was hard. We only had two pillows and they were also not comfortable and the walls were really thin. The price of $35.00 was great but I think next time I would bid more and stay at a 3 star.
  5. Remembered to use the link on the Better Bidding site for PRICELINE! Looked for convertible cars in Maui for the week of 2/24-3/3 on Travelocity, priceline, and alamo websites. The best price I found was alamo convertible hot deals $279 for the week with taxes etc brought the price to $350. This was considerably better than Travelocity etc where a convertible was over $500 for the week. Even the economy car was $400 for a week:( Looked at HOTWIRE the price for a economy was $22.00 a day. The convertible was over $50.00 a day. Thought I would try priceline and see if I would have any luck. Clicked the PRICELINE link at better bidding. Entered my dates, clicked convertible, and entered price $20.00. It was rejected but if I would add $4.00 priceline would accept it. I was going to do this but then I noticed I had only entered until March 2nd and I wanted the car until March 3rd. Started over entered the correct dates and then clicked convertible and $20.00 again. It was accepted!!! I love priceline and better bidding!!! 7 days x $20 Subtotal: $140.00 Taxes and Fees: $67.61 Total Charges: $207.61 Lowest Published Price: $491.17 (USD) Total Savings:* $283.56 (USD) (You saved 58%) :)
  6. I bid $55.00 for a 3* north Everett zone and it was rejected, priceline countered add $15.00 and it would be accepted, I rejected. Added Mukitleo/ South Everett Zone, bid 3 * again for $60.00 and it was rejected Added 2 * hotel rebid North Everett and Mukilteo/ South Everett zones for $35.00 and the price was accepted at the Extended Stay. Extended Stay Everett 8410 Broadway Everett Wa price $35.00 Taxes and Fees $12.28 Total $47.28 I am not jumping up and down due to the fact that I know the Broadway area in Everett is not the best area. I read some reviews on the property and they were all good so I will keep an open mind and let you know how it was when I return. I can't complain about the price though. Also hoping to win something in downtown Seattle for Feb 14th to the 16th. I will use the link on better bidding for that as it slipped my mind for this bid. Sorry:(
  7. You got a really good deal. We are thinking about going to Waikiki in March and after I read your post I went to the Hyatt web site to compare prices. For one room with tax it would be $991.56 at the one day sale price. Double that for 2 rooms it would cost $1983.12. You saved over $400.00. I stayed at the Hyatt last year in March and at that time they didn't charge a resort fee. If we decide to go I hope we can get the same rate of $94.0 you got. (of course using the PRICELINE link at better bidding) Have fun on your vacation:)
  8. I live in Las Cruces and the springhill suites is also located right next to I-10. My friends stayed there when they came to visit and it is really nice. If you have time check out the historic Mesilla plaza. It is not to be missed.
  9. That is really good advice. Thank you. I forgot to mention I used the PRICELINE link.
  10. There are only 2 hotels listed on Priceline for Tombstone. The 2.5 star is the Holiday Inn Express Tombstone The 2 star is the Best Western Lookout Lodge Both hotels were listed for $89.00 a night I bid $35.00 for the 2.5 star for 2 rooms checking in 6/23/09 and checking out 6/24/09 it was rejected. I then added the 2* and bid $39.00 for the 2 rooms and it was also rejected. There was nothing else to change but the dates so I will have to try it again in a couple days and increase my bid amount.
  11. Entered $35.00 bid for a Tucson airport location for a 3* for 2 nights May 8th-May10th 2009 Bid was rejected but would be accepted if I chose to bid $9.00 more. I Declined and added Tucson Central. Rebid $40.00 for a 3*. Bid was accepted for the Holiday Inn and Suites Tucson Airport North. 4550 S Palo Verde Blvd tucson AZ 85714 520-746-1161 Glad I didn't add the $9.00 because it was probably the same hotel I won for only $5.00 more. I have won this hotel before on Priceline and I was happy with it, however they wouldn't let us check in early before 3pm yet there were other non PRICELINE customers checking in early as well and they didn't have to wait until 3pm for their room. $40.00 for each night =$80.00 Service Fees $18.84 Total charges $98.94 I love PRICELINE and I love this site. I used the PRICELINE link from the better bidding site!
