Updated... (as of Sept04) Wilmington 3.5* - Sheraton Suites (Downtown) 2.5* - Holiday Inn Wilmington North (Concord Pike) Claymont 3* - Holiday Inn Select (Naamans Rd) Newark 3* - Hilton (Christiana Mall)

I purposely didn't post them (except for the "S" for the Sheraton) as I thought they might be too general to be of much use (just about every hotel has a restaurant, business center, etc.). If you think they'd be useful, however, I'll be glad to post the ones I have. Regards, - RightD

iahphx - Agreed... I can imagine the frustration of a traveller expecting their hotel to be in one general area and ending up in another. Hotwire is largely the same, unfortunately, with the exception of separating Claymont into a different zone. Hotels - Other than this particular bid it has been a while since Priceline has booked me into the Sheraton or the Doubletree. I have ended up at the Wyndham for the past half-dozen stays (my least favorite of the three as it happens) but for the price I can't complain all that much. - RightD

4* DC (Dupont Circle) - Westin Embassy Row - $105 - Oct11th Started bidding at $90, rebid at $5 increments to $105. Would have expanded my search area for a better value, but the reservation was for my Dad and that was the area he wanted to stay in. - RightD

Just to add a couple of notes... - Parking is free - Gym/Pool/Whirlpool are small but serviceable. - They have warm cookies at check-in A Suggestion - Ask for a room in the rear tower. It seems to be newer/updated more recently. - RightD

2.5* Wilmington Holiday Inn (west side of 202 about 2 miles from 95) We got stuck for a last-minute reservation and ended up here. The front desk is friendly but the place is a DUMP. We cranked up the A/C just so it would make enough noise to drown out everything else we could hear. If you bid 2.5 in Wilm-Brandywine don't say I didn't warn you. - RightD

3* Wilmington Doubletree (on 202 next to Concord Mall) $50 per night Oct 9th & 10th. - RightD

Quick update - The SS is updating all of their beds to the new "Sweet Sleeper" style. A definite improvement over what was there previously. - RightD
