  1. I am needing two rooms for a one night stay in Rockwall, TX, checking in October 1, 2011 and checking out October 2, 2011. There is a 3 star that pops up for Rockwall on Hotwire (note: Priceline does not have ANY 3 star hotels in this area). The Amenities include: complimentary breakfast pool business center laundry facilities high speed internet access If anyone has any idea of what this property may be, please let me know!!! Thanks so much!!!
  2. The address of the hotel was: 1560 I-35 South in San Marcos, Tx. We only stayed one night, July 25, 2011
  3. Our one night stay was for Monday, July 25, 2011. The physical address of the hotel is: 1560 IH 35 South San Marcos TX 78666, USA
  4. I went through Priceline, looking for a 2-1/2 star or better for a one-night stay in the San Marcos/New Braunfels area. I began my bidding at $55, added New Braunfels, and ended up getting the Country Inn & Suites by Carlson for $64.00. After my bid was accepted and finalized, I called the hotel to put in my bedding request (2 Queen beds). We needed the second bed for my two small grandsons. The hotel was nice and clean, and had a great indoor pool. The full breakfast was an added plus! But, now for the negatives! Upon checking in, I was informed that they would have to charge me an ADDITIONAL $20.00 because of my bedding request. I was not told this when I called to confirm initially. The girl at the front desk would not even listen to me--she just didn't care! She said I would have to take up my complaint with Priceline (acting like it was Priceline's fault). So, it wasn't a great deal after all. With room, taxes and surcharges, PLUS the extra $20.00 fee, it ended up costing me $106.54, which is NOT a deal!!! I doubt I will ever stay there again.
  5. Could someone please help me to identify this 2.5* in the Dallas (Park Central-Park Cities) area? Complimentary Breakfast Fitness Center Pool(s) Business Center Thanks for your assistance!!!
  6. I was searching (through Hotwire) for a hotel in the Allen/McKinney area for two nights during Spring Break, March 18th & 19th, 2010. We were definitely on a budget for this trip! I chose a 2-1/2* hotel in Allen for $39.00/night for a twonight stay. It showed the following: Boutique Hotel Non-Smoking, Breakfast, Fitness Center Pool(s) Business Center High Speed Internet Access Golf (nearby) It ended up being the Pyramids Hotel (formerly Amerihost?). The property is located on 75 North at the Bethany Exit. There is a Dickie's BBQ and Ralph & Kacoo's in the parking lot. There are restaurants all up and down 75 in either direction. It is close to the Allen Premium Outlet Mall, which has great shopping. The hotel was super clean! The owner actually works at the hotel and firmly upholds the hotel policies, focusing on cleanliness and non-smoking. Upon checking in, we were told of their strict non-smoking policy, which I definitely appreciated. They put a $200 hold on my credit card for this policy. Their breakfast was a full continental, with waffles, bagles, sweet rolls, 3 different cereals, oatmeal, and fruit. They have orange juice, and apple juice. They have a great machine that quickly makes a great cup of coffee, one cup at a time. You can even get cappacinno or hot chocolate. All food must be consumed in the breakfast area, which is very nice. The owner doesn't allow food to be taken back to the room, due to cleanliness and possible bug infestation, which is GREAT! They have a very nice indoor pool, sauna, and hot tub, which my grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed. The rooms are on the smaller side, but very adequate. For the price, this is a good deal and very decent property. It is only a 2-story hotel, and has all interior doors. If you have someone that is handicapped, please advise the front desk that you need a first floor unit, as there are only stairs and no elevator.
  7. We have decided not to pursue DisneyWorld at this time. Thanks everyone!
  8. I need help in identifying this hotel. I am planning on taking my grandchildren to this area for Spring Break next week. The property shows the following symbols: Non-Smoking Weight Room Pool Restaurant Business Center High Speed Internet Spa Services Children's Activity Program It shows that it could be Intercontinental, Hyatt, Omni, and other prestigious hotel brands. Any help would be appreciated.
  9. Thanks so much! Anyone else have any suggestions???
  10. Does anyone have advice on ways to bid on a Disneyworld Resort Hotel (i.e. Deluxe, Moderate or Value Resort) that is on Disney property? I do not have specific dates, at this point. I would appreciate any advice.
  11. I'm sorry, but I posted some confusing informtion. I started out on PRICELINE, with my bid of $41.00. Then, I started adding more areas and upping my bid. When I topped out for my bidding for the day, I went over to HOTWIRE to see what I could find there. That is where it showed a 3.5 Boutique Hotel in the Galleria area. After searching amenities on your website, there was really only one boutique hotel with this rating. I got the Hotel Indigo for $51.00 per night. The nice thing about this particular hotel is that there is FREE parking (unlike other area hotels who charge $19.00/night for parking).
  12. This is my very first time to purchase a hotel on this site. I ended up going to Hotwire. I began my bidding at $41.00 for a hotel in the Galleria area. I first strated out at only 4* hotels. Then I increased the bid to $43.00. I added in Downtown, then NW, and finally Brookhollow. I added in 3.5* hotels, and I increased my bidding to $51.00 and won. My winning bid of $51.00 was for the Hotel Indigo - 3/20/09-3/22/09. Here are the amenities: Boutique Hotel, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-speed Internet Access
