  1. Thanks for the response. I'll use the links to do my search as well. The Strip south is $50/night and the Strip north is $72/night. I must've missed the accessible bathroom amenity, yes the first one has that as well.
  2. Hey, Been a while since I used hotwire, but this site was exponentially helpful last time I booked a trip. I'll use the link to book, but here is what I'm trying to ID: 4* Strip North: Resort Free Parking Casino Fitness Pools Resturants Business Center High-Speed Internet Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Spa Access for Blind Access for Deaf Accessible path of travel In room accessibility Handicapped parking Roll in Shower. - About 90% positive this is going to be Treasure Island. 4* Strip South: Resort Free Parking Free Internet Casino Fitness Pools Restuarants Business Center High Speed internet Golf nearby Tennis nearby Spa Services Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking roll in shower - Pretty sure this is going to be Luxor. What do you think?
  3. I have no problem increasing the star level. I'm just afraid that I won't be able to get a hotel at the price I would like at 3.5*. Lets say I do increase the star level. Would it even be worth it to start bidding at anything lower than $95? Thanks!
  4. Hey, I would like some pointers on a re-bid strategy for NYC. I would like to stay in a 3* or better in one of the following areas for as cheap as possible, but no more than about $105 if possible: Chelsea, Downtown, Empire State, Madison Square Garden. I see a lot of people are winning the Wyndham Garden Midtown for only $95 around the same time that we are travelling. I would love to get this hotel, but I'm aware its impossible to know for certain which hotel you will end up with. So: what amount should I start with? AND: more importantly, what are the free rebid zones in NYC? I would hate to do this wrong and end up in Brooklyn somewhere!
  5. Hey, Just booked a room for some friends, and was given the Days Inn on South Boulder Road. $66/night. Amenities: Pool, Restaurant, Hi-Speed Internet Used the board's HOTWIRE link!
  6. THANKS! Before I read your last post, I tried a first bid at $50 and was rejected, added the rebid zone of Mexico Border at $55, and was accepted: March 20-22, $55/night Holiday Inn Downtown Of course, with the board's PRICELINE link.
  7. Yeah, I'd like to find the least expensive 3* in either area. I understand the pros and cons to both; i would rather stay downtown but mainly due to parking fees i would be okay with mission valley as well. I found a 2.5 star in mission valley which i think is the la quinta which got good reviews, but if i can get a 3* downtown for cheaper, than why bother? however, if the price is near that, and i have to pay parking downtown, then it's not cheaper. what do you think? is it worth starting as low as $55 for a 3 star downtown?
  8. I'd like to pay no more than $70/night for a 3 star hotel in san diego, hopefully in downtown/mission valley. I saw a few wins for this timeframe at $53. but this hotel is far outside of the san diego area. Is $55 too low for a starting bid?
  9. Sure, here is the letter concerning the Good Nite Inn: We are contacting you about your upcoming stay at Good Nite Inn Sea World, Hotwire itinerary 528*****. We periodically review the star ratings of our hotel partners. After doing so for this hotel, we have decided to adjust the star rating to 1.0 stars. While we are confident in the quality of all our hotel partners, the new rating more accurately reflects the service level, accommodations and facilities of this property. As such, we would like to offer you the option of either cancelling the reservation for a full refund, or keeping the reservation and receiving the full amount paid for your Hotwire reservation in HotDollars for a future reservation. HotDollars can be used for any hotel, flight, or Hotwire hot Rate rental car booking on Hotwire. Each HotDollar is equivalent to one U.S. dollar and is available for one year from the date of issuance. Should you choose to cancel, we would be happy to assist you in rebooking to be certain that you are accommodated during your trip. The only thing it says in my account is "Cancelled". / I would not like to pay more than $70 for a three star. Can you help?
  10. Hi, We will be staying in san diego march 20-22, and i'm looking for a priceline bidding strategy. I've never used priceline before so i'm a little lost. I'm looking for a 3* somewhere downtown, seaworld, or mission valley. I'm not really sure where to start on price. Would a $55 starting bid be too low? high? please help! thanks!
  11. Hey, Just wanted to make an update with this booking. Apparently Hotwire has changed the GOOD NITE INN SEAWORLD to a one star rating, and offered me a refund. After reading various BAD reviews on tripadvisor, I decided to take it and am currently searching for a new hotel. Perhaps this hotel is no longer on the hotwire radar, and if it is, it's only rated 1 star, not 2. Thanks!
  12. Need help with Id'ing a Downtown Harbor Island Hotel. Amenities: Fitness, Pool, restaurant, laundry, Hi Speed Internet. No Trip Advisor rating given. All of the hotels in the list are showing a shuttle with amenities, but this hotel doesnt have it listed. Thanks!
  13. totally! I used HOTWIRE and I was RIGHT! Holiday Inn Anaheim-Resort Area! Thank you better bidding! Sucha a great price for decent room near disney land!
  14. Hello, I found a deal for $49/night at a 3* in anaheim (disneyland south) on march 22nd, 2009 -march 23rd 2009 with the following amenities: fitness center, pool, high speed internet, restaurant, business center, laundry. tripadvisor rating is 3.5/5 stars last reviewed in january 2009. I'm tempted to say that this is the Holiday Inn Anaheim (on Manhattan ave), since it matches everything I've found. Any ideas?
  15. Hey guys! we ended up booking the hotel through Hotwire, and I was right - Good Nite Inn Seaworld! You can add this hotel to your list for the area.
  16. Oh, sorry! March 20-22, 2009! After a closer look, I believe it may be the Good Nite Inn/Seaworld, however.
  17. Hey guys, this is the first time I've ever looked into booking with HOTWIRE. I found an amazing deal, 2* hotel near seaworld/mission bay with hotwire $29/pn, however the only amenity listed is laundry. They list the property as having a 3/5 rating on tripadvisor and it was last updated january 2009. I found the Comfort Inn Suites and Zoo/SeaWorld Area on TA to match this info - it's the only 3/5 rating on a 2* in that area, and it also lists laundryas an amenity. However, it also has a pool and many other amenities. Is it possible HOTWIRE just neglected to list the other amenities and I've found the right hotel?
