  1. Hi, After reading several bad reviews here and in TA, we was very skeptical. But in fact this is a very nice hotel, clean - great rooms - a very comfortable bed and lots of towels, shampoo and what ever you need. Most of all we got a very nice and warm welcome when we showed up. We got a room 156 on the first floor, a bit noise from the street but you can sleep. The hotel is a bit out of town - a 10 min walk from the tube Kensington Olympia, but there are 3 busses right on the street , no. 9 -10 and 21 and even a nightbus. Bus 9 and 10 take you downtovn to Piccadilly Circus or the tube at Hyde Park Corner, so its very convenient and not that bad. There are a few pubs and restaurants just around the corner and even a grosery store where you can have drinks, fruits and sweets. We did not have breakfast at the hotel its pricy ( 17
  2. Heja Sverige :) Thanks for the answer - perhaps I will give a try, though Sheraton is a bit out of town. Jesper
  3. Rio has been discussed in this forum. "Sheraton Hotel & Resort" seems to be the only hotel in the list, so isn't a question of how much you bid before you get it, I mean nobody else would take your bid - or? And do PRICELINE negotiate with "all" hotels in the area or how do other hotesl "join in" NYOP? Thanks Jesper
  4. Hi We are going to Rio in october and wonder - is Rio one big area in Priceline NYOP - so you can be placed way out of town or? Regards from Jesper
  5. We stayed 1 night at this great Hotel in Cologne. A very warm welcome by the staff, we got candy, could choose from different rooms and got a map and other tourist stuff. We had huge room with all what you need. The hotel is close to downtown and not far away from the Cathedral. You can walk there through the shoppig streets by 10 min. or continue down to the River Rhine and have a good solid meal and a huge beer. One thing : The breakfast is expensive as in most luxury hotels - so go downtown to Altstadt square and find the caf

  10. Hi Betterbidding, I dont know where to put this message -I just want to say THANK YOU for this great site and for ALL the money I saved during our 3 weeks vacation for the last 3 weeks in New England. We booked mostly all our stays through priceline.com and it was a succes. We stayed in great hotels in huge rooms, we had fitness and pools and great views too (23rd floor in Sheraton Boston) and had a great time. We stayed in clean rooms - had safe parking for free (except Plaza Hartford, CT and New Harbor Hotel, Newport, RI) where we payed 15$ - but all together it was a succes. The chech-in and ou went fast - as we have prepaided - and most of the hotels offers breakfast - some for free, and some very expensive= Sheraton, but the choice is yours. Best experience: Courtyard by Marroitt in Amherst, MA and Golden Eagle resort, Stowe VT. Thanks to betterbidding and priceline. And to everyone els who might have their doubt of using this way to book hotels : Go for it! Thank You. Jesper :)
  11. Sad to hear - but should Priceline/Hotwire users be better than other people - I don't think so. As a guest No matter how much you paided - you should behave and act politely.
