  1. Thank You - if that is the hotel it is a great choice. I always use betterbidding, whenever it is possible.

  3. Great news for Singapore. I am going in November - and Royal Plaza on Scotts looks very fine.
  4. I have tried for a few days for 5* and raising up to 130$ pr night - which was my level. Added free zones and started again with 4* at 85$ - raised with 1+1+5 and ended up with 99$ for this property - with great location. Normal prize : 315$ - Great deal. I used betterbidding.com PRICELINE link for a start. Thank you
  5. Sorry forgot that : Sept. 21- Sept.23, 2012
  6. After several attempts I "won" Hamburg, Germany Grand Elysee Hamburg 5 * - 185 USD pr. night. 2 rooms 4 people - 2 nights Total 817 USD. Not that saved compared to to "normal" price - but what is saved I earned. I am satisfied with the hotel right in the centre of Hamburg.
  7. I have tried for several days now for Venice,Italy - April 30 - May 4 without luck. Started at 120$ for 5* the added Mestre and went to 160 and added 4* - no luck. Finally booked a B&B to 190$ (incl. breakfast)
  8. I didn't have any luck with Priceline as well. Went as far as 240$. I have booked an ordinary hotel in Perth ( Medina Barrack) and I close this subject. It could have been great to report a hotel in Australia, but neither Melbourne nor Perth would accept my biddings, so I leave up to someelse. I close this subject.
  9. Thanks for the answer. I think you are right about The Holiday Inn. I have been trying for some times with Priceline 5* - with no luck so far. I don't want to stay that "far" away from downton i Perth, so I will give it another shut at Priceline, before I decide to book an "ordinary" hotel. I will let you know.
  10. I'm looking for a hotel in Perth, Western Australia for 3 nights in November 20-23. One hotel 4 * with casino, pool, business center, restaurant and high speed-internet is on the list. Can anyone guess which hotel(s) that might be. It seems to bw quit a good offer in this expensive city. Regards from Jesper/Denmark
  11. Hi MarcSt, As thereuare says - give it a try - start low as maybe 55$ and raise and rebid with 5, when you reach your max of 80 - go for HOTWIRE and - and take 3,5* for 81$ - that is a fair prize. And remember - when using PRICELINE and HOTWIRE - its a part of a game - some win and some loose, but most are satisfied with the hotels they get. Otherwise you have to go with the regular hotelchioces Hotels.com etc.etc.
  12. Hi Why don't you go for the 3* upscale and maybe get Sheraton og Courtyard? We "won" the Sheraton 2 years ago ago - and that was a very nice and Clean hotel. La Quinta and The Suites are both 2,5* star hotels and should not be in the 3* upscale category.
  13. Thanks -i was not aware of the support page - i will use it from now on.
  14. Hi Romelle, Thanks for the info, but the 4* Hotwire - seems to be way out of town - and we wanted to stay downtown. After checking most of the interesting hotels in Melbourne - a lot of them are already sold out - do to the Spring Race weekend. So we booked an ordinary hotel. regards Jesper
  15. Unsuccessful Melbourne Oct.27- Oct.31, 2011. Have been bidding up to 200$ for a 5* - no luck. Added a 4* and went as far as 140 - still no luck. Have heard from a hotel that a Spring Race is going on from the 29th. of Oct - so that may be the reason. I close the bidding with this message. Jesper
  16. Hi Thanks you for the answer. I've raised my bid to 170$ - the adding 4* - and went 130 without any luck. I will try agian tomorrow.
  17. I did - any feedback on Melbourne would be great. Thanks
  18. I'm sorry i didn't follow up on this thread - but I did not book Rio through Priceline. I found a nice b&B in Rio. I thought that The Sheraton was too far away to be won. :)
  19. Hi I have been trying for some time to bid for Melbourne, Australia for 10/27/11-10/31/11 - went as far as 130 for 5* - all rejected. Is it too early for bidding that far away or is my bids just too low? Thanks for any help. Jesper
  20. The Renaissance is a very nice hotel - centraly located. Huge rooms - luxurious and a very warm welcome from the staff.
  21. Hi Genessa, Just f.y.i. The Crowne Plaza is not downtown CPH. You need to take the metro or the train to get to central CPH. 15 min ride away.
  22. Hi Aaron, I did use the PRICELINE link - always!
  23. I was bidding for 2 rooms 3 days from 15.6-18.6.2011 - 5* - started with 60$ - rejected - then raised to 70 and 80 rejected, added 4* and lowered my bid to 75$ and got it. Holiday Inn Warsaw Poland 2 rooms 3 nights total:503.52$ It is a nice deal for this hotel right in the center of Warsaw. :)
