My friend and I (we'll call him Josh) decided to head to Vegas with our wives... after much mulling we ended up booking via Priceline. We had noted that we could get one room on the central strip via Hotwire for what appeared to be TI for $89/night (Casino, Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business, Golf, Spa). However, when attempting to get two rooms, then it appeared the best we could do was $109/night and this was probably not TI but another 4* on the central strip (Casino, Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, Business center, Hi-speed Internet, Spa) for $109/night. We decided to do Priceline instead and I submitted a bid for $60/night for a 4* North Strip. This was countered with $81/night for a 4* North Strip. While I paused, Josh tried to bid $70/night for a 4* North Strip and received a counter of over a hundred dollars a night for 4* North Strip. We're not sure why he got a different counter than I did (perhaps because it was holding my offer or because he did not start off through betterbidding.com or just bad karma). So, I ended up accepting the counter offer and received TI for $81/night for two rooms and three nights. Here's hoping for warm weather and a pool that opens up from winter maintenance on time. Thanks for the help in our planning!
