I would like to know the reason reservations on hotwire are non-negotioable. I understand a penalty or some other tax for having to change or cancel a reservation but to just steal someones money by pocketing funds and providing nothing in return is just plain wrong. It is one of the things fundamentally wrong with our country. As long as there is a legal loophole you can literally steal without consequence. I was scheduled to participate in an in-service training class in Florida while living in Utah. I reserved a vehicle for a week and pre-paid thru Hotwire. The dates of the training have now changed and shame on me for not realizing the policy? but what a joke. During these troubling times it stings to have a company steal $336.28 for something that has occurred beyond your control and then offer no type of recourse whatsoever.
