  1. Thanks for the advice (I will be travelling with BrooklynFan)... I think our best bet may be to reserve the Hilton while continuing to bid PRICELINE as we still have another 5 weeks to go.
  2. I ended up booking a second room at the same rate for the same night... We were very satisfied with our stay, the hotel was really nice, had free valet parking, free continental breakfast and a nice vibe at the bar.
  3. Just what I was hoping for! 3* Providence (Cranston-Warwick-Airport PVD) NYLO Hotel, $35: Feb 20-21 Used your PRICELINE link and won this hotel on the first bid. =)
  4. Ok, thank you. I actually dont see it listed anymore, i'll check back during the week. :)
  5. Bump... I'm still looking for help to ID that 2.5 star? Thanks! :)
  6. hmmm, i'll check out the specific sites to both of those hotels and see if they seem to fit my needs. thanks! we wont be by the airport we'll be heading to the olneyville area west of the city but i think its only about a 10-15 min drive so its relatively convenient and we'll have cars. cranston would likely be totally ideal but i dont think its an option to sort that away from the other areas. i'm definitely curious about the 2.5 considering its the lowest price as well as having quite a few amenities... hopefully someone can still help me out w/ that one. :) i'm also noticing nylo is being won for about $35 for that same weekend so using PRICELINE instead might be my best option...
  7. I'm trying to ID this 2.5* hotel in Warwick/Cranston for the night of 2/20/10... Rate is $38 Airport Shuttle Complimentary Breakfast Fitness Center Restaurant(s) High-speed Internet Access I'd also be interested in one of these: 3.5* hotel in Warwick/Cranston for the night of 2/20/10... Rate is $48 Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Or: 3* hotel in Warwick/Cranston for the night of 2/20/10... Rate is $46 Business Center High-speed Internet Access Hope you can help! And i'd certainly be using your links to purchase. :) Please and Thank you!
  8. To follow up... We were thrilled with this hotel. I was a little nervous that I should have gone for a 4 star but we couldnt have been happier. The room was very spacious as was the bathroom, and everything from the room to the lobby was done with a modern and clean decor. We had no trouble checking in late at night and even were able to switch to a room with a better view the next day. I would have slightly preferred being right ON Michigan Ave but being 2 short blocks down on Ohio which is the heart of that area was definitely good enough and I would do it again on my next trip. Thanks!
  9. After a good deal of research I decided to go with a 3.5 star in the River North/NMA zone. I bid $60 and got the Doubletree on my first shot, pretty much as expected. I used your PRICELINE links to begin my bidding!
  10. follow up: i found the hotwire prices too close to the discounts i was already finding so i did not use them for this trip. i found a discount code for excalibur online and booked for about $27 a night (weeknights) and had a great stay.
  11. thank you for the info.. we did not get the game tickets we wanted so this trip will be postponed for the time being. i'll certainly be there at some point for a game this year and i'll bid through your links.
  12. If I nix Saturday I can get it for $64 a night which is a huge difference in price... I believe thats normal as a Sat night may have been a high demand night.
  13. 4* $123 Central South Beach Condo This hotel features the following amenities: Suite Near Beach 1-Bedroom Suite Fully-equipped Kitchen Airport Shuttle Daily Housekeeping Air Conditioning 24-hour Front Desk High-speed Internet Access Boutique Hotel Condo Sounds to me like a match to Metropole Suites, correct? I'm looking for 11/7-11/9. Thanks!
  14. What is the best hotel zone to choose in Philly for a game at either the Lincoln Financial Field or Citizens Bank Park? Is there a spot or hotel relative to both? Thanks!
  15. Do you think this would be a match to MGM Grand? 2 nights - 9/3-9/5 $85/night South Strip Hotel 4* Casino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Spa Services Thanks!
  16. Related to the above, has anyone posted a full review on Jockey Club? They rates are very good but I see a lot of mixed reviews online..
  17. I found another reasonable hotel on the Central Strip: 4 stars Casino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Spa Services Planet Hollywood? Again, though, this is only 7 dollars cheaper than I find on the hotel's own website which I find disappointing. I've never used Hotwire before so I do not know if this is common? I'm a hugeeee Priceline user but in this area I'm not sure thats the way to go.
  18. Renaissance is a bit disappointing since it came up for $91 and I see its available on their own website for $93! I also didnt realize the Near East extended so far North. Thanks for your help, I will do a bit more research and certainly keep you posted. :)
  19. These are the two options I'm looking into for my Vegas stay in a couple weeks: No idea what this one is: 4 star hotel, near Strip East: 9/3-9/8 2.6 miles to McCarran Intl. Airport (LAS) Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby I'm guessing this next one might be Signature Suites? 4.5 star hotel, near Strip East: 9/3-9/8 2.6 miles to McCarran Intl. Airport (LAS) Resort Suite Casino Smoke Free Rooms Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Kitchenette Spa Services Thanks! :)
  20. I bid $32 (different dates) earlier today and it told me to raise my bid by $8. Started over this evening with a bid of $38 and won.
  21. Where exactly is the hotel? There are a couple ESA's in that area I think.
  22. the radisson is very close to the park plaza, pretty sure its walking distance of only a block or two... also, i believe you should be able to get a better deal at park plaza using search engines over the internet as they tend to have pretty low prices these days for some reason, but of course thats just for my own search experience and i have been checking out rates for the week before, not feb.
  23. I was bidding 3.5 star hotels using the free rebid zones (Medford and S. Boston) $55, $58 & $60 up to $62 with no luck. Started over, 3 star @ $62 and won on my first bid. I think I prefer the 3 star hotels in this area anyway, very happy with my win and wanted Theater District over Copley anyway. Doubletree Hotel Downtown $62 (77.54 with taxes) First time using this site, great find. =)
