  1. Sharing a win: Amenities: Free Internet Business Center Pool(s) Fitness Center Restaurant 80% recommended $192 Trip Total - Hyatt Regency, Miami Downtown I've won this location before and was very satisfied. Thanks!
  2. Follow up: We decided not to take this trip due to the large event we were planning to attend and recent terror alerts. I hope to get to DC in the future and I appreciate all of your help.
  3. I've added in the zones below, sorry I forgot to add them in initially, I'm unable to copy and paste on this board for some reason, and I've got to type out everything individually. I bid exclusively on Price.line for years but if I can identify what hotel i'll likely get through Hot.wire, I typically prefer to do so even at a bit of a premium. Since the rooms are quite affordable in this case we have a little more budget to play around with but in the end its always nice to get a bit of a savings. =) 11/28-11/30, 2 people, 1 room. 3.5* 80% recc $58/nt Resort Fee DUPONT Pet Friendly Boutique Fitness Center Restaurant Business Center Internet Access Acc for Visually Impaired Acc for Hearing Impaired Acc path of travel In room Accessibility Accessible bathroom Accessible parking Roll in Shower _____________________________________ 4* 80% recc $71/nt Resort Fee (amenities same as above but without fitness center) DUPONT Pet Friendly Boutique Restaurant Business Center Internet Access Acc for Visually Impaired Acc for Hearing Impaired Acc path of travel In room Accessiblity Accessible bathroom Accessible parking Roll in Shower ________________________________________ 4.5* 95% recc $78/nt Resort Fee DUPONT Pet friendly boutique hotel smoke free rooms fitness center pools restaurants business center internet access spa services accessible for visually impaired accessible for hearing impaired accessible path of travel in room accessibility accessible bathroom accessible parking roll in shower
  4. I think I've ID'd a couple of the options I was given, but I have a couple of outstanding questions. 11/28-11/30, 2 people, 1 room. 3.5* 80% recc $58/nt Resort Fee Pet Friendly Boutique Fitness Center Restaurant Business Center Internet Access Acc for Visually Impaired Acc for Hearing Impaired Acc path of travel In room Accessibility Accessible bathroom Accessible parking Roll in Shower _____________________________________ 4* 80% recc $71/nt Resort Fee (amenities same as above but without fitness center) Pet Friendly Boutique Restaurant Business Center Internet Access Acc for Visually Impaired Acc for Hearing Impaired Acc path of travel In room Accessiblity Accessible bathroom Accessible parking Roll in Shower ________________________________________ 4.5* 95% recc $78/nt Resort Fee Pet friendly boutique hotel smoke free rooms fitness center pools restaurants business center internet access spa services accessible for visually impaired accessible for hearing impaired accessible path of travel in room accessibility accessible bathroom accessible parking roll in shower I don't know DC very well, I'm willing to use Price.line as well, really just looking for a clean, comfortable hotel room for around $200 (all in) for the two nights. The other two with similar attributes that come up seem to be Washington Plaza and Donovan Hotel. Thank you!
  5. Thanks for your help on that one. I decided to stay with a friend - We stayed in the same area as this hotel zone and it was an extremely convenient and short drive to the airport, mall, nightlife and and football stadium and would absolutely choose this area again if I came back.
  6. This deal was no longer available when I looked today - I am still tentative with my booking as I may have a place to stay but I wanted to follow up. I'll reopen if I do book. Thanks for your help!!!!
  7. Sat 11/7- Monday 11/9/15 Tampa Airport South - Westshore Area Amenities: Pets Allowed Free Parking Free Internet Free Breakfast Indoor or Outdoor Pool 2.5*, 7+ rating $46/night Priceline Express Deals What are your thoughts? I'd think Extended Stay but there are several amenities matches that I'm finding. Will I do any better in this area by bidding? Thanks! =)
  8. I've stayed here and the hotel itself, along with the rooms are beautiful. The restaurants and clubs are also very nice. My preference is to be on South Strip but I'd absolutely stay here again for the right price. Enjoy!
  9. The 4.5 Star/ Bourbon was indeed Sheraton New Orleans and I have confirmed booking. Looking forward to this trip, thanks for your help! :)
  10. I am also seeing a priceline express deal as follows that I'm considering: Dec 4-8 4 star $118 Swimming, pet friendly, restaurant, business, gym/spa Or 3 star $105 Room choice: 2 DOUBLE BEDS - LUXURY ROOM Internet, Swimming Pool, Pet Friendly, Restaurant, Business Center, Gym/Spa Thoughts on identities?
  11. Good morning, I am hoping you can help me ID the following - I've gone through your bidding helper link and found: December 4-8, 2014 4.5*, $112 French Quarter/Bourbon St - 100% recc Pet Friendly, Smoke-Free rooms, Fitness Center, Pools, Restaurants, Business Center, Internet Access, Accessible for the visually impaired, Accessible for the hearing impared, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower 4*, $114 French Quarter/Bourbon St - 75% recc Pet Friendly, Boutique Hotel, Fitness Center, Pools, Restaurants, Business Center, Internet Access, Golf Nearby, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower 3*, $127 French Quarter/Bourbon St - 90% recc Fitness Center, Business Center, Internet Access My best guesses are Ritz Carlton but the price seems off, W Hotel but the rating seems off, and 4 Points Sheraton? I'm also willing to go another route such as Priceline if you think that would yield better results. My main point is to book something clean and comfortable in the French Quarter for as little as possible (<$125 a night) Thanks! :)
  12. We decided to stay outside the city and booked the Hilton Anatole in Market Center through a friends discount which worked out well for us. Knowing the area better I'd feel comfortable trying my luck next year with any hotel in that area with good reviews. Thanks!
  13. I did not take this trip - I will be trying again this year. Thanks!
  14. I am far less concerned about specific amenities but rather just looking for a good deal on a "nice" hotel. I also may be looking for several rooms once I am settled with mine but I of course realize its chancey that the same deal will be available. Thanks for your help - I'll reply to my old thread now and follow up with this one once the trip is booked.
  15. I am hoping you can please help me with the following: Oct 17 - Oct 20 Downtown Dallas - Art District area 85% recommended Trip Advisor 4.5 out of 5.0 $91 per night ($176 is crossed out) Pet friendly Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center Internet access Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom My guesses are Adolphus or Hyatt Regency? Please let me know if you might recommend going the Priceline route for this area instead. Thanks! :)

  19. Interesting... Thanks. As a follow up, for the time being we have decided to book through the hotel website in order to obtain a reservation that we can cancel. I will reopen if we decide to go another route closer to the travel date. ;)
  20. Out of curiousity, why do you get different results when you add in the "2 children" option? We dont have children so I wouldnt have ever thought to add that but I see a different list of hotels pop up once you make that change.
  21. W Lakeshore is exactly where my friend wanted to target... Which one is that? Rack rate is 199 so even 142 is a nice little savings. I'll check again at the options around that price and scope out possible 4 star wins in that zone.
  22. I am looking for a hotel in Chicago from 7/5-7/8. Location ideally would be around Lake Shore Drive, Mag Mile, Gold Coast but i'm pretty flexible to anywhere around that general vicinity. 3.5 star would be ok if we had an idea that it was a nice one (aka Doubletree) ahead of time - Otherwise 4 star and up. Do you have suggestions on whether to use Priceline or Hotwire here? I was having a hard time identifying many of the Hotwire options and gave up since they all seemed so similar. Budget is up to around 175 a night but I think I can find one for much less. Thanks!
  23. I was able to find a deal on Signature Suites through an online promo code that undercut what I found on Hotwire by a couple hundred dollars. Jumped on that and am happy with my purchase (minus the fact that I will not have a balcony room ;) ). Thanks for your help! B)
  24. I am researching that now - I see wins at Venetian for as low as $110 for some of my nights and $123 for others... I need to include the Saturday night stay so that may bump me up a bit. I dont want to end up at TI, Luxor or NY NY if I choose a 4 star hoping to get MGM or Mandalay. Do you agree with my guesses as to the Hotwire bids? I'm a big fan of Signature so that may be a logical choice.
