  1. This hotel was also offered on the Express Deal with the following amenities: Free Internet, Free Parking Bed Choice Available (2 Double beds, King size bed,) for $77 on the same dates. When bidding I started at $50 $55$$59 was offered to accept if I bid at $82, I refused and kept on bidding $69 and $72. I also tried bidding with the additional date of Friday night which the bid of $72 came back with an offer to accept if I again increased by $23 but to the amount of $95. Since I already knew that the other dates would be cheaper i declined this offer I have figured out that if they give you an offer they will accept half of the increase as a bid. so if they say increase by $22 then refuse it and bid again at an $11 dollar increase and it will be accepted. This has ALWAYS worked for me but of course things can change in the future. Generally a $5 increase is noted in the Express Deals and a $5 decrease if you bid and take a chance on the hotel you are going to get. Of course a chance that is greatly reduced by research. In this case my research led me to believe I would get this hotel and I was correct. I was hoping for the Doubletree though but I knew it was more than likely going to be the Holiday INN. The list price for this hotel at these dates is $117.13. The non-opaque rates were unusually high for these dates for the past 10 days, They went down today so I decided to take advantage and get the hotel aat the lowest rate possible. AMENITIES listed were: Free Parking, Free Internet (Airport shuttle) Free Cancellation Available +1 moreClose Special Offers: Breakfast for 2 Adults at certain rates. On the bidding part the amenities were: Fitness, business, 7+ Hope this was helpful, I will update with how the room was when I go and return.
  2. This was a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal which I decided to go with so I could get a 3.5 star property and not the 4 star Westin in the area. The westin Is really nice so I kinda regret that decision but it all worked out in the end. Two hours later priceline reported a bid that was won at $65 for a hotel with the same amenities as well as ratings of a 8 or better. When I decided to look for a hotel in this area on Priceline I thought I would get the Wyndham at Forrestal which I won in June of 2011 but did some research and found out that is now the Crowne Plaza. Im not sure it is still in business though as not one site would let you purchase a room and even their own site was not up. anymoreSo glad I didn't get that property as this stay was very nice. The express deal i received was also an 8 or better at the 3 1/2 star level but there was another hotel - same amenities reporting at a7 or better rating. (Two days later I received the Doubletree Hotel in Princeton (East-Manmouth Junction) with EXACTLY same amenities, star level and rating level of an 8; Not knowing the area well enough I didn't even consider the Doubletree Hotel as an option at the 3 1/2 level). This is close to Sesame Place. The room itself was VERY CLEAN and coming from me that is CLEAN; especially the beds and sheets; were EXCELLENT!! This being most important to me for sleeping so I was super happy. The beds were Super comfortable. They gave me a King with an extra twin size portable bed - the very good kind as there were no more double queen rooms left. The room was small and the bathroom was tiny; just enough room to put in the bare essentials but on a positive note it did have a refrigerator and a microwave where the Doubletree does not have either a refrigerator or a microwave. This Hotel also had a hot tub to go along with their indoor heated pool where the Doubletree only had a pool. This hotel is very large and there were many business meetings being held while we were here as well as a bus of college students. While it was practically full to capacity you did not even feel cramped. The pool had no one swimming when we went even with such a full house. The spa has a sauna but the added cost is $20 PWR person per day; which really means for one session per day. While this price is average it is still steep to me so I declined. The staff were super friendly and very helpful at all times. THey do have valet service which is $10 per day for your car but do not mind if you park your car yourself for no added cost THe food at the bar was VERY VERY GOOD; high grade burgers and chicken and reasonable kids meal ($7.95 includes drink meal and 2 side choices while sandwiches for adults were %14 and up. My child got a hamburger the same size as I did but mine cost double without a drink. He loved it and the waiter/bartender - same person; was friendly and provided good service. All in all a pretty good stay. Keep in mind if you order Pizza you will have to go to the front desk to pick it up as they do not allow delivery people to go up to your room. Kinda defeats the point of ordering out which is why I am including that tidbit here. They offer free wifi in the lobby; not in your room; and the charge is $12.95 per day. NEVER PAY THIS! GET WIFI AT HOTELS FOR LESS!! Call BOINGO 1-800-880-4117; and for only $9.95/month or a promo of $4.95/month you can get wifi in your room. They will ask you if you want a daily rate: say no so your charge will be less. Boingo gives wifi at all Marriot properties as well as many others. You can also use your ATT, T-mobile account to login; = you have to click on the left side of the scrren where it says wifi partner
  3. The Holiday Inn Express is next door and if you use the coupon in the Hotel Coupon book that you get when you are traveling you should only pay 69 for fri sat and sunday nights; otherwise it is $20 more. I had to go this route as it was after 12pm when we arrived and I had no time to bid. THe Holiday Inn Express is a newer Hotel and the room i stayed in, it still smelled brand new. Free breakfast etc. I saw the full price for the Hilton going for $109=$115 for 4/16-4/18/2013. Hope you get the hotel you want. Another suggestion look under the discount hotel priceline offers and see if they are offering it there. I believe your in the right price range; should be no more than $65. Hope you get it.
  4. I arrived pretty late sometime after 11pm but closer to midnight. There were hardly any cars in the parking lot; The hotel is located right off of the 91 highway but not clearly visible until you reach the property. There is a small gas station/convenient store sharing the same property or at least next to each other. There were a few 18 wheeler trucks parked close to the main entrance. It is currently labeled a 2 1/2 star property but I would barely give it 2 stars. More likely one star. The check in was very easy and the clerk was very nice and hospitable. He had only been working there for 2 weeks but seemed to know the ropes already. While I paid for the upgraded bed choice of a king junior suite, what I rec'd was a room with 2 queen beds in them. The beds themselves were clean as were the sheets which is extremely important to me and have stayed at some 3 star properties where I couldn't say this. Even the top cover was clean but I still removed them as always. THe room had a small refrigerator in it but was lacking a microwave. As soon as I told the front desk i needed one; he got me one without any extra charge. THey have you sign a paper that u will pay $1.50 per day to use the safe. When asked how he would know if i used the safe he said that they take clients word for it whether they did or not and do not even require you to pay it even if you did use it if you do not want to pay the fee. (That is the strangest fee I have ever not paid. LOL!) They have a seasonal outdoor pool which was closed since it was October. What I didn't like nor did my young daughter like was the shower/bathroom. THe shower's rubber mat was stuck to the tub and paper like material would float out to the top. We like to take a bath but decided against this and had to take showers while there. EVen my 2 yr old had to take a shower since his sister convinced him that the tub was "Yucky"! LOL! The sink was outside of the bathroom so we were able to use it while others were in the tiny tiny bathroom. No room to even turn around in there. We slept quite well and did not notice any noise from being so close to the highway. They offered a free breakfast which was nice. It kept the children fed and occupied until noon since they took some goodies back to the room for a bit. The lady working the breakfast area was a bit of a grouch but we worked past that and just had a good time anyway. (She yelled at my TWO year old for spilling his cereal when pouring it into his bowl!!!! R u kidding? They offer coffee 24 hours for 35 cents a cup. During breakfast you can get free coffee from their coffee cafe. If u take the tea bags back to your room and use your own water you will not have to pay the 35 cents for the tea either. as they are charging for the hot water only and leave a few bags out at a time for any tea people. The eggs were not so good but the waffles were okay they just need the powdered sugar or brown sugar to make them a hit for my kids. other than that breakfast offered somewhat of a variety including oatmeal, cold cereal, sausages, bagels, though the next day they had no more bagels. I had the do not disturb sign up on my door and i did not like that the housekeeper knocked on it anyway at approx 8 am. (I was mad about this since i went there to get some sleep grrrrrrr) I checked again and yes my do not disturb sign was there and she asked me if i was checking out or not? NO IM NOT! shouldn't they ask the front desk before knocking on my door? I think so. SO no tip for her. check out was a breeze and the clerk noted that i did not receive the bed choice that i requested so he gave me a receipt with the $34 dollars instead of the $40 dollars. I still need to call priceline to rectify the situation. The website price was 96 dollars per night so a good savings off of their regulsr rate.(On the door the rack rate was priced at $400 per night. Don't think anyone would pay that!!!) I do not think I would stay here again unless i needed to leave my car as they do have an option to leave your car for up to ten days if u stay there for at least the day before your trip or the day you come back from your trip. It is closer to Six Flags New England than the Hilton Garden In at Bradley airport but id rather stay there next time. My son though would rather be closer so this would be a better choice for him. He also would rather pay less money for a place to lay his head. I might stay here in the summer if they offered if for this low price just to use the pool. They also had a small gym room located on the first floor next to my room. They also have a laundry room. TO wash a load it was $2.50 and to dry was 25 cents per 7 minutes so it cost me $5 to do a load of clothes. I would have done more even at these high prices but the clerk did not have any quarters. There was no change machine either so I used the soda machine to get change by purchasing one for 1.25 and getting the change and using that until I had enough quarters. That was the most expensive load of clothes Ive done in a long time. If you are going to do laundry... come prepared with your own quarters and your own soap and dryer sheets. Its already too pricey to use their machines. They have 2 washers and 2 dryers.
  5. upon checking out I was given the lower rate of $34 since at no time during my stay were any junior suites available - though i don't know how that can be since there were hardly any people there!! The front desk clerk rebilled my charges at the lower rate but since it was prepaid by priceline i doubt they plan on giving me the difference. Its only $12 but it is the point of not getting what I asked for and being charged for a better room and not getting it so i might just call them and see what they say; what do you think?
  6. I used Express Deals: not sure if u have these seperated in a differnt area or not but sure would be helpful; the adverticement went like this: Bradley Intl Airport - Windsor Vicinity (BDL) Area $97 similar hotels+ $34 per night Map it This Hotel has: Free Breakfast | Free Internet | Indoor or Outdoor Pool | Free Parking | Restaurant | Airport Shuttle | Business Center | Fitness Center Bed choice available Since it gave me a bed choice instead of taking a regular single or 2 queen beds for $34 I took the Kin suite for $40. I was hoping to get the Candelwood suites but that is the chance u take. Anther reason why posting these would be a good idea so we can figure out what they are offering. Sometimes they change so quickly that by the time I press the accept button I get rejected as the price is not being offered anymore but the hotels generally are the same as long as the description is the same; same as Hotwire if u ask me. what do u think of this or has anyone else mentioned this already??? 2 nights at $34 would have been 86.26 but at $40 it was $100.18 (two nights) the rest of the ammenities shown after clicking the first ad goes like this $34 per night One King Bed No Smoking Free High Speed Wireless 27 Inch Tv $34 per night Two Queen Beds No Smoking Free High Speed Wireless 27 Inch Tv $34 per night Two Queen Beds Smoking Room Free High Speed Wireless 27 Inch Tv $40 per night One King Bed No Smoking Junior Suite Free High Speed Wireless Guaranteed Amenities: Free Breakfast Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Free Parking Restaurant Airport Shuttle Business Center Fitness Center
  7. First bid of $46 was given "increase bid by $17" I did not accept; I rebid and received this hotel win. Funny thing; when i was researching this hotel; The price for regular room rate was listed as $5079.!!!! Two nights would have been over TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS!!! Clerk said no rooms are of that quality and if anyone did pay this they would have been highly disappointed. Last time i stayed here i was given a room across from the pool but the pool was broken :( . I addressed this with the check in clerk and he gave me the same room and added " the pool is in working order". Which it was and made our stay excellent. Its so nice when hotel staff do not treat priceline guest as second class; he went above and beyond to make our stay nice and make us feel more than welcome to be there; priceline and all!!. :D
  8. Priceline can add hotels that they are using at anytime. For esample I was bidding on a 3 star hotel and winning the same hotel everyday for a 3/12 month period; which was awesome because we needed it as we were homeless due to a fire and wanted to stay at the Residence Inn and got it like I said. But one day without warning we were given the Hyatt; Thankfully this happened after I signed a year lease on an apartment and was almost ready to move. We had to stay four days at the Hyatt until we bid the Residnece Inn again and got it. Not wanting to have to move like that again we were glad to move into our rental. Usually though for the time frame; if the only hotel people are winning is a certain hotel, then you are more than likely to get that hotel. BUT AGAIN NOT ALWAYS!! I'd say you have a good chance of getting the candlewood. What i would do first though is confirm the regular rate by looking online or even through pricelines regular rates and confirm the price of the candelwood so yo do not overbid either. Sometimes if priceline does not have any rooms in the area for the particular date you will bid up to and above going rate before they will let you "win" it. This only happened once to me as I am usually very cautious and usually do my research thoroughly first. You save alot of money by doing research!! Hope it all works out for ya!
  9. I bid up to $77 for 3/1/2 star and did not get anything; bid up to 68 for Enfield and did not get anything; then added Bradley 3 star with a $58 bid and got this. They were offering a 3 star at 61 dollars on the other opaque offer on price line so I knew I was close to a winning bid with $58, Didnt see that someone already won this at $51 so... at least i was close. I was just getting fed up with the bidding and no acceptances starting from july 2nd to July 7th. Anyway 2 nights ended up being $145. When we got there the swimming pool and Jacuzzi was closed for cleaning and so i was a bit upset. We were placed right in front of the pool too, which would not have happened if the pool was working. they have it going on the last morning so we checked out late (2pm) and went ahead and used the pool and Jacuzzi. No sweat. People were nice. area is nice and safe. it is set away from the main drag. It was nice and quiet and we got great night sleep. I chose this hotel so we could go to six flags and it was close enough.
  10. Thought id get the residence inn but this was a nice surprise; ID never been here and I was looking at the $69 per night coupon. Decided to let PRICELINE pick the hotel for me as I was totally undecided LOL! I bid $55 was given raise your bid by $22 so i bid $60 which was rejected then 65. thanks
  11. Orange is not within the east haven to branford area. Did you add this for your second bid or was this just a mistake? DId you choose orange only? thanks in advance!!

It is a nice place to stay.
  15. we checked in last night around midnight, i didnt do my usual rigorous check of the beds for the FIRST time ever as i am traveling with hubby and he is exhausted. well he went right to bed cuz the 2 hr drive exhausted him and the kids went shortly after him. I stayed up and took a long bath prior to going to bed. After seeing everyone looking so comfy i finally pulled the sheets back and crawled in with the lights off not a minute later my hubby awakes and smacks the bed hard to kill a bug that he felt by him. i turned on the lights and adjusted my daughters pillows on the other bed then pulled the covers off my son and saw a tiny red bug, hubby picked it up and blood gushed on his finger. he caught the second bug in a glass and then we checked our daughter and he kiled a bedbug on her shirt. also another one by the pillows we just moved. I said thats it we are outta here.we got upgraded to an ocean view with queen beds and we all showered then were afraid to go back to bed. and i got no sleep thinking we could have transferred them to this room. The guys checked the old room this morning and comfirmed BEDBUGGS. INFESTED BADLY..gross.the new room is fine though and now they are washing all our laundry bags and suitcases. grr. I am dreading any repercussions from being in that room. Hubby is glad he was the one who found them cuz if I did he wouldnt have believed me. but it is gross.
  16. Resort - has 2 swimming pools, a kids program included in price of room open from 9-3pm, large slide, mini golf, one set of cabanna chairs on beach included with resort charge, many other activities Beachfront Property while on the beach the hotwire rooms are typically not facing the water Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access - network TW password guest5500 Tennis Nearby change to 4 star not 5 star....thanks! Spa Services Children's Activity Program The rooom includes a small refrigerator and microwave along with a sink hotwire beds are typically full size beds we got upgraded to a ocean view room with queen beds so dont let them make u think they only have full size beds. (problem in below post)
  17. Sounds Like you have been to this property before and that this is exactly what you were looking for. Can you give a review of the resort as i am looking to find something for the same dates in the same area but am unfamiliar with what is a good place to stay around there. I'd love it if it was on the beach but more important to be a hotel that has lots of other people and where most people like to stay. Anyway, glad u got what u wanted so have a nice stay.
  18. yes it is! sorry i took so long to respond. It is in Silver Springs/ Ocala East. Days Inn Silver Springs/Ocala East 5751 E Silver Springs Blvd Silver Springs, FL 34488 US
  19. First bid of $46 was returned with "bid $9 more" I rejected Bid of $50 was returned "bid $7 more" I rejected then bid $55. Total was for 4 days $245 because I used the $20 bonus ($5 per day) This Hotel was a Residence Inn. I believe this has not been reported to the board as of yet. I love the set up of the rooms as they are like mini apartments. Front desk said that all the rooms contain one queen size bed and one pull out couch, which mine did. The bedroom has its own doors so it is private and the living room is separate. Only one bathroom but has two doors so bedroom is still private. My room also has a kitchen and a bathtub in the bathroom. THe pool was open. Many people were here on Monday due to IRENE. The storm had displaced so many people and Priceline was not offering any rooms in the towns of Orange, Milford, Trumbull, Stratford, Bridgeport, and Shelton. WHile I was searching the prices for hotel rooms were going up and down every 10 minutes till there were no rooms left. At one point I was going to go to Howard Johnson in Milford and the price was $46 then went up to $51 then dissapeared. It was funny to watch. I tried many times to get Orange but the price of that marriot went from $119 to $189 then disapeared. Ive only notice things like this happen on Priceline and not other sites. Just wanted to put in my observations of what happens when so many people are looking for a room at once. Anyway... This hotel is VERY CLEAN!! wow what a plus. THe beds are so clean and the rug is very clean. Only issue is there are some ants running around that the maintenance says from the rain. I think really its from the food other people left behind but they sprayed and they went away. They offered a new room but i declined since the bed was so clean I did not want to take a chance of getting a room with a dirty sheets and bed. Sorry that is my pet peeve of hotels. LOL! The pool was crystal clear but super frigid. THe hot tub was not so clean and Luke warm. THe area is nice, it is located in same parking lot as Extended Stay Hotel. The outside of the hotel looks a bit nicer than the inside as it is a very OLD hotel, but clean. Its on the same street as the Hampton Inn, Just have to go down a bit more on the Left. (Bee Street). I would definitely stay here again!! Breakfast is included and the coffee is EXCELLENT! Kitchen guy even made me some Oatmeal for me when he was not planning on making it today. Very Nice staff here.
  20. This maid in this hotel said they do not change the bedspread or the beds protective covering that covers the mattress between customers and just waits until they think it is dirty enough. That is why they take the thick comforter and sandwich it between two (supposedly) clean sheets. Ive been at a Holiday Inn express in Florida where the maid and front desk clerk there said they change the whole bed between customers because they are worried about diseases that can be spread between customers that share sheets or even bed parasites and skin parasites that can hide between the sheets and covers. BOTH have said that during your stay they will not change anything unless you request it in order to save $$ I always check the sheets, bedspread, pillowcases etc. and taking the bedspread and the footer that covers the end of the bed where your feet go are good practices as they just do not clean these as often as they should. Unless requested there is no telling the last time they were cleaned. Of course ALL hotels are SUPPOSED to change the sheets between customers, does not mean that all of the maids comply.
  21. I first attempted to bid for 5 nights mon thru saturday with the below bids First bid of $35 rejected bid $37 at the 2.5 level and was rejected added East Haven as a free rebid (no three star properties there) and bid $40 this was rejected I decreased bidding days by one night (mon thru friday) and then bid $41 rejected I added East haven as a free rebed and bid $42 and was accepted my final bid of $37 plus $5 bonus money total of $42 came to the following Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $37.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Guests Per Room: 2 Number of Nights: 4 Room Subtotal: $148.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $34.72 (USD) Total Room Cost: $182.72 (USD) The rate for mon - wed was $138 and the rate for thursday and friday was $182 While staying here I learned that the hotel employees rate per night is $39.99 Friday morning before checkout I attempted to add a night but was given a screen that said that my additonal nights for this hotel should be requested prior to midnight the night before check out. This is something new to me since in the past Ive been allowed to add nights right up till 12 noon the day of checkout. This is the second time Ive tried to add nights on the last day and was not able to at the rate Ive been already staying here. I then bid for that one addeitonal night and my bids up to $50 were rejected. Priceline gave me a screen which said that a recent bid in the Orange area was accepted for $60 and gave me an option to attempt this bid which I decided not to take. This hotel allowed me to have a late checkout on friday which suited my needs and saved me from needing to purchase the additional night. About my stay: I was given a poolside room which I was happy to have. I continue to have some issues with the way the bedding is not changed. My request for all new clean bedding (including the mattress cover and the comforter that they cover with two sheets) on both beds was finally accomplished by the second night. There were blood stains on one and so much hair on the other that I just question the reasoning for not changing it prior to my request. Housekeeping's response was that they change it when needed, and not between customers, with how dirty they were, I can't say they can tell when that would actually be though. After this the beds were great and very comfortable. The larger than average refrigerator in the room came in handy along with a small microwave. The only other issue were the gnats in the sink. It took two attempts by housekeeping and an additional one by engineering to accomplish getting rid of them flying around the room and coming out of the sink. I was given the option of having another room but declined since I knew i would have to take the time all over again to get clean bedding again. The pool was crystal clear the first night but after raining the next day it was green for two days then after my request for more chlorine in the pool they were finally able to get the pool crystal blue again by friday morning but had to close the pool because of the amount of chlorine that was added to the pool. The pool was closed past 2pm and we were not able to enjoy it that last day. Overall I do like staying here.
  22. I just wanted to add really quickly that the cost of this room to hotwire was $45.60 . I know this because I overheard the clerk talking when billing hotwire's credit card for the room. I believe tHat means they made $8.40 for this transaction. Just FYI
  23. I bid $40 and was immediately given an offer to raise my bid by $6 and I would be able to rebid again. I closed my browser and then bid $43 at the 2 1/2 star level and was accepted. (I had a past bid of $42 accepted recently but decided to still use my strategy of cutting their offer in half and rebidding that amount). Total for two nights $86 plus $21.04 tax and fees came to $107.04 The price online and on their site is $139/night Pl siad I saved 56 percent but that would have only been true if the price of the room was $99 which I couldn't find it anywhere offered for that price. Ive said it before and Ill say it again, I like staying here during the summer because of their pool. Front clerk attempted to give me a room on the third floor with no balcony and facing the parking lot. I immediately came back down and asked if I could have a first floor room facing the pool as I was given one the last time I was here. He looked up my reservation and gave me the same room i was given last time. It was comforting to my daughter that we got the same room and I was happy to get it too. It was apparent though that the same problems exist in the room. THe next morning when housekeeping arrived I had them pour some bleach down the sink to get rid of the fruit flies. Unfortunately the lock on the outside door was pryed at by someone and is bent but since it still locks I stayed while reporting it. One of the comforters had to be changed since it was dirty which just confirms that they do not change them between guest as they are supposed to and even though I asked for my sheets to be changed she made the bed on top of the sheets that were there from the night before. Obviously I asked them to be changed for a reason and immediately noticed upon moving my covers down. Its these little things that make the difference between the average hotel and a great one for me. Even with all that said, I still like it here. There are meeting rooms in the back of the hotel and a small fitness room but the main thing is the pool. I do like the larger than average refrigerator in the room along with the microwave, and having two queen beds is great too.
  24. I got this property via hotwire and really loved the cleanliness of the room and sheets. It was shocking to know and see that the front desk took care of those duties. I had a full list of videos to pick from and a dvd player in my room. Having a full kitchen was a plus along with the laundry basket to do laundry at no extra charge was great. The room was small the bed was queen sized. I really enjoyed staying at this property. I felt very safe. Internet was included. I was given a rollaway bed for my daughter . I overheard the clerk say that hotwire paid $45 for the room while I paid $54 plus taxes and fees. No credit card or Id was asked for and none was given. They have no breakfast either and no pool but at the time we didnt need those. wanting to stay over one more night I bid on priceline at the 2 star level and was given extended stay property which was night and day compared to this place. This was much nicer and worth the extra cost. the extended stay was more like a truck stop motel room with a kitchen. more on that on my review for that property.,..'; ] '
  25. Upon check in I was told I could only have a room with one bed since they were sold out of doubles and priceline customers do not get a choice of beds. I said yeah, I know that but I just cannot sleep with my daughter in the same bed. He offerred me a king size bed or a rollaway. i accepted the rollaway. he did tell me about the nearby beach.. its just not the same. Id rather of stayed at the hilton garden inn with an indoor pool than here and now wish I bid at the three star level. WHen ammenities matter I need to remember to use hotwire as lately ive not been getting the hotel i thought id get. saving money is no savings if you get what u dont want. In the past ive rebid and took another property on the same day but i just dont want to waste money like that. In the end I called the Marriott where I stayed last night and was welcomed to use their pool even though I was staying at the Hampton, that was completely nice of them and I will keep them in mind next time Im looking for an outdoor pool. Had I paid via there site or by walking in I would have been refunded my full amount and still alowed to stay. It something to think about since most all hotels act like they cannot treat you nicely since youve paid via priceline.. Actually i think that kind of thinking makes no sense since I have the choice to choose the star level that woould get me this hotel in the first place and I can completely avoid getting this hotel If I choose to do so . Maybe they don't get that and think it is all kinda like pot luck or something. While here my remote control has not worked at all despite changing batteries and there have been a number of small insects in this room along with dirty sheets that again my young daughter will not use. she is not as picky as I am so if she thinks its dirty, then its gotta be dirty. She even said to me that too bad they don't care about their beds like we do at home. Its so true. Just another note. The desk clerk had told me at 1pm that they were booked solid and I didnt beleive him cuz the hotel was empty but sure enough by 8pm their were two bus loads of people along with over 12 trucks from the same company that arrived. Driving around I noticed that even one exit down at the residence inn, springhill suite and the redroof inn , they were all booked solid, funny though the Fairfield marriot was not that busy despite them being closeby. As a priceline guest Ive always been given the first floor and the rooms are much smaller and older and in need of repair. They actually have rooms with only one queen bed in them and will give those rooms to priceline guest unless you either put up a fuss (nicely that is) or give them good reason to give you a different room choice. There are no great views so thats not the issue. I have stayed here on business while paying the going rate and was always given the third floor now that i am using priceline the way they treat me is very very different. I dont like that. THe rooms I was given in the past were much cleaner and roomier too. I just don't think the descreipancy should be that big when paying via priceline over paying via thier site at the higher rate. The priceline rooms have no refrigerator or microwave in the room though u can use their microwave in teh breakfast area. Many people are in the lobby using the internet on their laptop but free internet is provided with a code for milford the code is access code MIFPL6882. It should be on your room key. Im posting it because sometimes I forget it and then the front desk clerk will not give it to me which makes no sense since I am a hilton member. I don't really like staying here and will most likely avoid coming here again in the future if i can help it. the only problem is that i do like staying at the fairfield marriot and would have to gamble this property in order to pay less at the ff marriot.
