Was trying to get a hotel in the Disneyland/Garden Grove area but choices were limited. I know this is 30 min away, but we are driving anyway and will just pay to park at the D-Land resort. At least this was a VERY good price compared to what I was looking at in the D-Land area.
First bit $65, added one dollar until at $68 I was offered to increase by $16 to get a win. Declined and continued adding a dollar until this win at $70. Not as happy with the distance, but much happier on the price and quality of the hotel.
I of course started my bid by using the PRICELINE link on this site.
I saw that event on the convention center calendar, but wasn't sure just how big it was either. Could be a factor.
I'll see about splitting the bid. We also might just bid further away and drive in to park. Thanks for the reply and I'll post when I win something :)
Dates (not flexible): Sat, 10/18 - Mon, 10/20. Disneyland area.
I have been bidding on a 3.5* in the area using all of my rebid zones but not getting anything. Today started at $125 up to $160 and nothing. No rebid's available with a 3* so I haven't tried that yet.
I know the month of October is Halloween Time at Disneyland and prices are generally higher. However, this particular weekend we are going is higher than others in October, so just wondering if something else is going on that weekend that is driving up the hotel prices so much? Also, room availibility is just not good. Have tried many other hotel booking sites and specifically Sunday, 10/19, is not available.
Any ideas?
