  1. Hotwire - got a new one not on the BB Hotel List: Kellogg Conference Hotel at Gallaudet University. Business Center, Free Internet, Fitness Center, Golf Nearby, Smoke-free rooms, restaurant(s), Tennis Nearby. One night at $156
  2. Won this prime hotel on first bid (I always wonder what if...) This is a very in demand Saturday evening stay, Red Sox in town against the Yankees, and all the 4 - 5 star properties are in the high $300s-$600s. Feel pretty lucky only 7 weeks out. I've been using betterbidding for several years now, thanks for the guidance. Hit PRICELINE through betterbidding of course
  3. bidding wednesday 5/22/13 10:15 pm edt for a friday 5/24/13 check-in Bid LA-Hollywood 4 star $90 rejected rebid added LA-Beverly Hills $100 rejected rebid added LA-Downtown $90 accepted It's been a while since I've been on betterbidding - I like the updates
  4. Originally bid 4*, wanted the Hilton, bid $75 rejected (won this hotel at $65 previously). Bid again the next day at $90, rejected again. As I was running out of time, I added 3.5* and 3* levels, reduced bid to an $80 starting point, accepted. $80.00 plus $19.27 taxes= $99.27 total. Only in Taxachusetts. Nice place, most comfortable bed and bedding, airport shuttle is quick, prompt.
  5. Accepted $65 first attempt, about a $10 saving. $5.66 taxes, $70.66 total. Booked same day from the iPhone. Continental breakfast included. Booked using the PRICELINE link on the BETTERBIDDING.COM PAGE
  6. I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Tues 9/15/09 to Fri 9/18/09. Excellent property. The staff were friendly. The room was spacious, comfortable, clean. The bed was the most comfortable I've ever experienced in a hotel. Good Hotel and GREAT price. I would recommend the Crowne Plaza Jacksonville Riverfront to anyone that needs to stay downtown.
  7. Bid $50 - accepted first attempt. I'm headed to a conference at the Hyatt Regency, and was trying to get in there. With only three, 3.5* properties in the Downtown zone, I figured I had a 33% chance LOL. I'm guessing that because there IS a conference in the Hyatt Regency, I probably should've waited a little longer before bidding. I didn't want to get shut out, and $50 a night is certainly better than the $135/night conference attendee rate. I used the BetterBidding link to PRICELINE (of course).
  8. I'm very happy with this win. We're only going to be in the area for one night (this Saturday) and was thinking I'd get the Hilton in Disney. Bid $61, with only zone WDW selected. Re-bid at $70 with the added Kissimmee zone (no resorts listed). Gaylord Palms may be the nicest property in Orlando. I've stayed here before for business, it's awesome. Again, I bid this today (4/29/09) for Saturday (5/2/09). Not bad.
  9. Congrats! This is THE BEST hotel in Fort Lauderdale. Be sure to dine at the restaurant, 3030 Ocean. I'm a local, and we dine there for all special occasions. Enjoy your stay.
  10. Bid $50 for 3*, accepted first try Didn't think the Courtyard was three star material Now I see other bids accepted lower, oh well Looks like a fine hotel, definitely meets my needs I USED THE BETTERBIDDING LINK TO PRICELINE FOR THIS TRANSACTION. Thanks betterbidding!
  11. Bid $65 - accepted immediately Taxes and Service Fees $15.97 Total $80.97 Thanks BetterBidding for the advice / guidance.
