There were no Hotwire hotels listed for Missoula, so I took a chance on one! I had pretty much figured out that it was the Red Lion by looking at the amenities. Hotwire also told me that this hotel was rated 4/5 by Trip Advisor on 20+ reviews and that it had been last reviewed in Mar 2009 which also helped to narrow it down. Booked 2 rooms. Tried bidding for 4* hotel from $45 to $54 using free rebids, with no success. Tried 3.5* for $45 and got it on the first bid. A hotel matching the Crowne Plaza's description was available through HOTWIRE for $52/night for these dates. I used the PRICELINE link.

Started with a $50 bid and then added areas/used bid permutations while increasing the price by $1. Got it at $59. Used the PRICELINE link.

I rented a compact car through Hotwire for 11/27/2008-12/1/2008 with Hertz for the following price: 9.95 x 4 days = 39.80 + 17.42 taxes and fees = $57.22. Used HOTWIRE link through Better Bidding. Cheapest price on a Priceline.com search (not bidding) was $20/day. Thanks!
