  1. So as I was looking for a place to stay in late September (9/26-10/1) in the South Strip - Welcome to Las Vegas Sign area when I came across this 5* Hotel. $130 a night. Amenities include: Pet friendly, Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby On the surface this is a perfect match for the Four Seasons which would be an absolute steal. However I am a bit confused as the drop down that shows 1 of 4 guaranteed hotels could include the NoMad, which at $130 a night makes much more sense than the Four Seasons. However, according to Hotwire's own border area for the South Strip - Welcome to Las Vegas Sign, the NoMad is outside of that border. Thoughts? Thank you in advance for your continued support on this great site!
  2. Ok, so used the PRICELINE link for this one along with the hotel lists to narrow down hotel to Omni Austin. PRICELINE EXPRESS for $117 a night. Thank you all for your invaluable help. Between Omni Dallas and Austin we are very happy with our "wins"! Guaranteed Amenities: Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities
  3. So I am still seeing the amenity set for the $112 in the Dowtnown - Town Lake zone hotel as: FULL AMENITIES: Pet friendly, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Spa services. AT&T center? The $169 hotel now down to $151. Booking these shortly. Thank you!
  4. Thanks for the heads up! Initially I requested 2 rooms and it did not show available. I then tried for 1 and it worked. So THANK you very much! Room booked at Omni for $108, which is a great deal. Sadly I think this is because of the recent tragic events.
  5. 4* Downtown Dallas - Art District 7/28-31 $139 FULL AMENITIES: Boutique hotel, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Children's activities $100 FULL AMENITIES: Indoor pool(s), Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center TYIA for your help, as always!

  7. Before I started my search I checked to see if there were any events that would make this a busy time in Dallas. I also have a friend that lives in the Dallas area and asked him to check. Indeed, it is NOT a busy time in Dallas (historically late July and early August are slow for the city, according to my friend). But I do agree prices fluctuate and nothing is set in stone. For cars especially.
  8. If the prices were acceptable then I would have booked. Using judgement to book rates is prudent in my opinion. If rates would have ben at a threshold that I liked I would have booked.
  9. I have replied to the other two posts. I will book last minute for my Texas trip (going to Dallas too). Prices will fall as I get closer so will take advantage then. Many thanks for help and I will make sure to report back and use link!
  10. Still in a wait and see mode. As we get into mid July hotels generally start to roll out their specials which will in turn lower the price on HOTWIRE. I will make sure to follow up with our decision. FWIW, those dates 5* Strip South looks like the Four Seasons just popped up for $209 a night. Great price on my favorite place to stay in Las Vegas!
  11. There are two properties in Austin for the dates 7/26-7/28 that I am looking at. The first is fairly simple to tab as the AT&T Hotel @ $120 a night (FULL AMENITIES: Pet friendly, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Spa services) plus when I pull up Hotwire the last winning bidder won this. However, this in the one that I'm a little perplexed about. It is also a 4* @ $140 a night and this is the amenity list: FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Pet friendly, Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Internet access, Spa services, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible. It seems like this may be the W Austin Hotel but on the Hotwire Hotel Lists it is listed as a 4.5* hotel. Do you know if it could have been downgraded to a 4* and if so would you recommend the W Hotel or the AT&T Hotel? Thank you very much for your help in advance!
  12. Will do and thanks for help. Trying to convince others in my party to commit to date. $168 for Encore is crazy good deal, especially that time of year.
  13. So sorry, here they are. FULL AMENITIES: Free parking, Suite, Casino, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Spa services, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower
  14. North Strip area hotel Thu, Sep 29 - Mon, Oct 03 2 Rooms, 2 Adults 95% recommended (169) Amazing! Hotel details Complimentary: Free parking Amenities Business centerCasinoFitness centerGolf nearbyInternet accessPool(s)Restaurant(s)Suite In the reviews several made mention to things like "red casino" beautiful pools (something the Venetian/Palazzo pools are never described as) and other descriptions that apply to just Encore. Do you think this is accurate? If so, $168 for this time of year seems like a steal. Thank you in advance for your help!
  15. Pretty happy about this result. Saw on Hot.wire for $87 and Expe.dia for $109.
  16. Can someone help me identify a 3* Empire State Building property with the following: Suite, Fitness, Laundry Facility, Kitchenette. Thanks in advance for your help!
  17. Hey Ashley and congrats on turning 21. Man that was forever ago in my world! Anyway, I highly suggest going to Expedia and checking the Hotel+Car option. This ALWAYS gives the best prices, I don't know why. I just checked and prices vary wildly from $1288 for 3 nights at Planet Hollywood (a dump in my opinion) to $745 at the Four Seasons (oh I LOVE the Four Seasons. And it is in Mandalay so gives you all the more options.). You will also get a car in this deal and while many people will say you don't need a car I will always take one especially when it is this cheap (and you can park for free at all places. GL finding a place and have a great time on your 21st.
  18. This is the time of year I go every year and I have found that the best deals on Priceline and Hotwire will not be available for some time. And to the $90 for 5* property for this time of year, I think it is a bit of a stretch to think you will get one. And if so, will probably be a last minute thing. The last two years I have been able to get the Encore @ $164per night w/$100 resort credit by going to other travel sites (Expedia and Orbitz) and selecting Hotel and Car together. For some reason this ALWAYS gives you the best price. And quite honestly, parking is free and it is nice to have a car for when you need it.
  19. I got Encore for 9/17-9/20 @ $164 a night.
  20. Looking for a room for 4/22-4/23 in the MSG area. Hotwire has a 3.5* w/amenities: Smoke free rooms, Fitness center, Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access. Thanks in advance for your help.
  21. Does anybody know if this works at the Four Seasons? Generally the hotel is pretty booked given it doesnt have a casino that blocks off rooms for comps. But if anyone has experience there would love to hear. Will be there 9/19 and will try and I will be sure to report back.
  22. Preferably would like to stay on the South strip although not immune to North. I have been searching boards and not really seeing anything for this weekend. I know there is a decent sized convention in town (North Strip area) so rooms seemed to be a little inflated. My feeling is that as we get closer and all the blocked rooms are not taken that hotels will release. However I would like to lock up a room before then. Would prefer a 5* (we are a group of 16 and 10 of us have $210 rooms at the Four Seasons...yes $210. They had a great deal about 3 months ago and most of us jumped on it!) on the South Strip to keep group intact so if anyone has any winning bids for this wekend would love to hear about them Thank you very much in advance!
