  1. Had to book this hotel last minute after hotel booked on Hotwire turned out to be a disaster. Booked this a PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal. Booked for $51/night. No dining or shopping options within walking distance of the hotel but plenty a short drive away. Very nice hotel. Attentive staff and clean facility. Rooms are nothing special but no issues. Nice indoor pool in the center of the hotel. Also a separate hot tub/whirlpool. Hotel restaurant (Green Mill) had pretty good food. They claim to be known for their pizza but tried two different kinds and was underwhelmed both times. Decent but nothing to brag about. One big bonus was kids eat free when you dine in at the Green Mill (for hotel guests only). And even though it was just me and my two daughters they both got to eat free. Downside is there was no free breakfast. Not even a continental breakfast. Hotel has has free wifi, indoor pool, free parking (popular fly & stay location for MSP Airport)
  2. Very disappointed. This hotel was not listed on either Hotwire or Priceline bidding sites. Thought I'd be getting La Quinta Bloomington West. Hotel is run down (threadbare carpet, dated worn furniture, stained and torn carpeting on stairways, exterior in poor condition). Tried three different rooms. All of them had issues. Second room reeked of smoke and actually said Smoking Room on the door but was told hotel is smoke-free property. Girl at at the front desk was very helpful and pleasant but hotel was unacceptable. I don't expect much beyond the basics with a 2-star property but this was well below expectations. Afterwards I saw that Priceline lists this as a 1-star property. Hotel has a pool, breakfast, free wifi, free parking.
  3. Had a $5/night Priceline reward. Started at $71 ($66 + $5 reward). Second attempt at $73 ($68 + $5 reward) was successful. Cheapest nightly rate I found for these dates was $189. I was expecting to get the Peabody for this zone but I'll happily pay less per night and not have to deal with the $10/night resort fee the Peabody tacks on. We'll just have to get over no duck parades in the lobby. Short walk to Sea World and access to the I-Trolley are positives. Feedback on tripadvisor.com is primarily 4 or 5 stars. Out of curiosity, has anyone had any recent experience with the I-Trolley that runs along Int'l Drive in Orlando? Thanks.
