  1. With fees, came to $85ish. Not pleased...clearly not a real 4 star hotel, but that's the gamble you pay. Used the PRICELINE link, thanks.
  2. Is add a night always offered? I really just want Sat, but will take Fri if need be. In regards to the 36 miles: It isn't ------------------- It's more like /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/
  3. I'm actually quite excited to hear that the Marriott has been added and I would love to stay there the weekend of Apr. 15-17 for wine tasting. I bid up to $150 for it with all the other zones used. No go. AAA for the room on the weekend is $213, I believe.
  4. Resort Palm Springs (Rancho Mirage-Indian Wells-Palm Desert) Hyatt Grand Champions Resort 12/24-12/26
  5. Looking for a resort in Rancho Mirage area. I'm too cheap to bid a lot. So far I tried $50 and added $60 and Indio vicinity. I can still try Palm Springs since it doesn't have resorts, but does have 4 star hotels. Not sure how high to go. I'll continue to use the PRICELINE link. Edit: Tried $65 and got the Hyatt. Very happy.
  6. Because we have seen a Trump win in the Strip North zone as recently as April 7th: Priceline Las Vegas Strip North Also, the verbiage of it. Technically, Trump is both in North end of the strip and in the "vicinity" of the north part of the strip. Just saying.
  7. I mentioned it elsewhere, but didn't get a reply so it may get more traction here. Is it possible that Las Vegas Strip Vicinity North encompasses Las Vegas Strip North as well? We may not be out of the clear.
  8. Is it possible that Las Vegas Strip Vicinity North encompasses Las Vegas Strip North as well? We may not be out of the clear.
  9. $64 7/10-7/12 3.5-star hotel in West of Strip This hotel features the following amenities: Smoke Free Rooms Complimentary Breakfast Fitness Center Pool(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Kitchenette Thank you.
  10. I suppose I could have been clearer. It wasn't through either site. I got them to give me the rate after some begging.
  11. Good news! I got the Palazzo to give me a room for $79/night that weekend (no resort fee). Thanks for the dialogue.
  12. Please see green nauseous icon on the subject thread title. And what exactly does this go toward in February? Maintaining the rocks? Thanks for the heads up.
  13. Not too excited about $169. And as much as I'd like to try the Wynn (love the commercial with him sitting on his hotel), I'd prefer the Palazzo/Venetian that weekend. Reg rate is $269 however.
  14. 5 Stars for Central strip on Hotwire are stuck at $169 Casino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Golf Nearby I find this rate extraordinarily high. I know it's a based on availability, but I thought Vegas was having trouble! I don't want to go the Priceline route because I really don't want Trump. I much prefer Venetian/Palazzo because I have food/beverage credit and slot credit linked to my stays. Just venting. I know one cannot tell which hotel it is based on the listed amenities. Even if we could, I'm still not happy about the rate. Maybe Red Rock at $72/night won't be so bad. Thanks for listening. Sorry, I don't really have a point to my venting and frustration. When I do book, I'll use the HOTWIRE / PRICELINE Link.
  15. I hope this is still helpful even though this is being posted after the fact. The fires in LA have been horrible so we decided spur of the moment on 11/15 to go to Palm Springs for the day. Started the bidding at $50 and finally got $80 for one room at La Quinta Resort. We decided to get a second room for more family members , but they have the Hyatt also for $80. The two resorts are very close and this pool is better anyway. Both insane deals for gorgeous hotels. We were both happy. Just to note: La Quinta immediately recognized the gold Hilton membership and gave an upgrade to a deluxe room. The Hyatt first gave us a smaller room I didn't realize even existed. It was the furthest walk possible from the resort lobby (really far). No ammenities even. I kindly notified the manager and without hesitating he gave us an upgrade to a larger room that overlooked the pool and was closer. And it had ammenities. Hope this still helped.

  17. I used the PRICELINE link initially, but after all of the rebidding and transferring I am not sure you got the referral. Just to be safe, I made a paypal donation. I appreciate all of your help, all of these years. Even though I haven't posted, I've been watching. Thanks again.
  18. You may recognize my original post in the Hotwire section. I would have been given the Rennaissance for $59 and I really didn't want it. I started at $52 and increased by $2 with multiple zones until I hit $60. I would have preferred the Bloor/Yorkville, but for the price I am saving, I will take it. It looks like a decent hotel. I used the PRICELINE link.
  19. Thank you for your help. This is a little frustrating because it looks like the amenities most closely match the Renaissance at the Rogers Centre, the least desirable of the hotel choices. The smoke free part seems to be the giveaway here. The now $59 4* hotel in Downtown West shows smoke free as an amenity and the only 4* hotel that in the Hotwire hotel list that is smoke free is this one. I'm having trouble pulling the trigger.
  20. Thank you for the quick reply. It's located at the Royal Ontario Museum (100 Queen's Park Toronto, ON M5S 2C6) I'll be staying June 19-21. While it's cheaper to stay in the West part of downtown, I'd be willing to stay in the East side if that area is more exciting. I'm sure there is a metro stop near the museum and the hotel. Also, since should I just do PRICELINE and risk staying anywhere downtown to try to get a cheaper price? I figure I want to stay in a 4* at the minimum. Thanks again for the help.
  21. Not new to bidding. Just new to on my side. Hotwire has a 4* in Toronto West in June for $58 a night for two nights. Is it too soon to book that? Should I wait? Should I bid lower on Priceline? If I bid lower on Priceline, I run the risk of being in Toronto East. I don't even know if that's a good thing or bad thing. I have a wedding at some library/museum downtown. Any help is much appreciated. And of course, when I do book it, I will use the HOTWIRE link. Thank you.
  22. Sorry for not initially noting it. I used the HOTWIRE link (as I always do). This Hotel features the following amenities: Airport Shuttle <amenity names only please... not descriptions> Fitness Center Guests have access to exercise equipment; an additional charge may apply. Pool(s) Property offers at least one pool area; hours and dates of operation may be seasonal. Restaurant(s) Property offers at least one restaurant on the premises; hours and days of operation may vary. High-speed Internet Access Guestrooms are equipped with high-speed Internet access; an extra charge may apply.
  23. Actually, I'm pretty disappointed that the Radisson was an option under the three stars category. I have not had very good experiences with this chain in the past. The current list here only shows Wyndham and Holiday Inn. I almost want to figure out a way to get my money back. I've had a winning bid at Knotts Berry Farm at the Radisson through HOTWIRE before and had problems. Maybe I can mention that. Oh well. Please add the Radisson to the list under 3 star hotels at the San Jose Airport.
