  2. Note: this is the new Delta Toronto, which opened in 2014, not the old Delta Chelsea. It's downtown near the Air Canada Center and Convention Center on Simcoe Street.
  3. Pets Allowed, Business Center, Restaurant, Free Internet, Indoor or Outdoor Pool, Fitness Center, No Smoking Rooms/Facilities. Pet policy, $35 fee, encouraged to not leave pet unattended. Used Better Bidding's PRICELINE link.
  4. 5. I used the HOTWIRE link on this site and got a great price on this 95% recommended property. Thanks to this board, I was pretty sure it would be the Trump and I am looking forward to staying in one of Toronto's best hotels for a family weekend getaway. Also happy to read that reviewers using Hotwire did not feel as though they were treated any differently. Also joined the Trump Card Privileges Program and hoping for some extra perks. Amenities: Free internet Pet friendly Fitness center Restaurant(s) Business center Self-service laundry Spa service Accessibility: Accessible for hearing impaired
  6. Changed our mind. Looking at different dates now.
  7. Thanks, everyone for your help. We did not end up traveling to Florida after all.
  8. Need help to ID Boston hotel Quincy Market/Financial 4.5* 6/29-7/1 175.00/nite pet friendly smoke free rooms pool fitness center spa restaurant buisness center 95% recommended thanks!
  9. Started bidding at $125 and used several free rebid zones before bid was accepted. $55.10 in taxes and fees with a total for two nights of $357.10. We always hope to win the Omni when we bid in Boston and expect to pay a little more for a summer Saturday stay. Started our bidding with the PRICELINE link above.
  10. Priceline has a choice for Ft Lauderdale Beach 3.5 star. I dont see anything on the hotel list for 3.5 * Any idea what hotel this could be? thanks!
  11. Need help to identify 3.5* hotel downtown ft Lauderdale 3/29-3/31. Hotel list shows only two 3.5* hotels. The Riverside and Embassy Suites. amenities: pool free internet smoke free rooms fitness center restaurant accessible bathrooms roll-in shower buisness center Thanks for your help
  12. Started bidding at $180 for Copley, Quincy Market and Boston Common zones. Received counter offer to increase bid by $50. I know from past experience that you can usually win the room for about half the counter offer if you close the browser, start a new bid, and add the free rebid zones. Added a couple of other desirable zones along with some free rebid zones and bid up in $5.00 increments until $205 was accepted. Total $481.96 with taxes and fees, which is more than I like to spend but I was going to pay the same amount at our cancellable backup hotel in Newton. I've been using the board's PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links for several weeks now for these dates and I'm very happy with the win. Big convention and with lots of sold out hotels in Boston this weekend. Hope this post helps someone else. :)
  13. This hotel is available for $152 per night Oct. 6 - 8, 2012 Amenities: Indoor pool(s) Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center High-Speed Internet Access Business Center Restaurant(s) Other info: Bed Choice Recommended in 95% of Hotwire customer review Thanks for your help.
  14. We thought we could save money by staying in Newton and taking the Green Line in to town, but it ate up a lot of our time. We had to drive to the parking lot, wait for the train, which was very slow and had many stops. We also had to make sure we were getting on the right train (4 different possibilities from downtown) when we were going home late at night. Now we park in the Boston Common underground garage, which is not difficult to get to at all if you aren't arriving at rush hour. The garage is very secure and is right near the Park subway station, and within walking distance or a short subway ride to any of the great 4* PRICELINE hotels in Quincy Market, Copley Square or Harborfront zones. A 7 day MTBA pass is well worth the $18 and you can travel all over the place for free, even to Charlestown on a water taxi from Long Wharf.
  15. Used the board's HOTWIRE link. Amenities: Suite, Indoor pool(s),Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access, Accessible for the blind, Free Internet, Accessible path of travel, Handicapped parking and "Recommended in 90% of Hotwire Reviews." When I went back to check the amenities for this posting, it said, "We are still gathering reviews for this property" I've been trying to book a few rooms for a family getaway to Toronto this weekend and had better luck today with Hotwire; See my Hilton win on the Priceline board for Sat. 7/21. BTW Bid up to $110 on Priceline with no takers. Hotwire prices have dropped considerably in the last 24 hours. Very happy to try a new hotel in Toronto. Thanks Better Bidding!
  16. Started bidding at $80. Used several free rebids. Hoping for a better deal but the rates are high next weekend at all the downtown Toronto hotels. Have won the Hilton before and it's a great hotel, with cheap parking at the nearby City Hall parking ramp. Been using the Board's PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links all week trying to get the best deal. Very happy with result.
  17. Just wondering if this means that the Park Plaza is now a 4 star on Hotwire.
  18. Amenities listed were Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access, and Spa. Started the booking process using the board's HOTWIRE link. Great hotel right on the waterfront - perfect for summer. Very happy to be going back to the Westin on another HOTWIRE win. Total with taxes and fees $121.50.
  19. I was hoping for the recently-won Omni or Onyx, but very happy with the Hilton and have stayed here on a Priceline win in the past. Started bidding at $100 and used free rebid zones until bid was accepted at $130. Took advantage of an email sent by Priceline for their 24 hour Discount Sale (now expired) and saved $5.00 each night for a grand total of $298.26. Also offered the opportunity to extend my stay at that rate, which I may take advantage of. Thanks to everyone who posts on the board and to the board's administrators. I've used the board's PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links many times over the last few weeks.
  20. Another suggestion would be consider a hotel that offers Bed Choice, and pay the extra fee to guarantee your rooms will have two double beds. It's usually around $10 extra per night, and you can find out how exactly how much more it will be before you buy your rooms.
  21. Amenities listed are smoke free rooms, fitness center, restaurant, business center and internet. They dropped the spa and pool amenities from the description earlier this week, so I hesitated because I wasn't sure if I'd get the Westin, which is what I was hoping for. Decided to be happy with Meridien, Marriott or Sutton and very happy to have won my first choice. Used BB's HOTWIRE link. We booked the Westin through Hotwire last year and got a beautiful corner room with views of downtown and the lake. Thanks jacpar and layalis for posting your wins!
  22. Used the board's PRICELINE link to start bidding and used a few of the many free rebid zones. We have stayed here on a Priceline win in the past and had a beautiful room. The Blue Jays are playing the Yankees both nights and we're happy with the great savings as well as the hotel's proximity to the stadium. Thanks to all who posted wins this last week especially Vinoroyge64.
  23. Very surprised that my opening bid of $100 was accepted for a 4* property in this zone, especially with Priceline indicating that the average cost for a room at this star level and zone is $288 for this night. Booked the room for a post-cruise stay. Used the board's PRICELINE link. Very happy with this win.
  24. Started bidding at $70. Priceline counter-offered $90. Used free rebid zone for $75 bid; used another free rebid zone to increase bid to $80. Success! Been using the board's HOTWIRE and PRICELINE links on and off for 2 weeks hoping to get a good deal. Very happy with the hotel and the price. Thanks BetterBidding! :)
  25. Thanks, Matmat, for posting your Sheraton win. Do you remember if it came up as Customer Favorite? Sometimes this is the clue that it is the Sheraton Centre and not one of the other hotels (Hilton, Renaissance, Hyatt, Intercontinental.)
