  1. Can't say that I recommend this hotel, personally I would not choose again, but not bad. Excellent service, clean (but old and in need of repair) rooms, indoor swimming pool, no high speed Internet :), but good price for that time period in Cincinnati w/ short notice. Holiday Inn Cincinnati I-275 North Check-In Date: Monday, November 4, 2002 Check-Out Date: Friday, November 8, 2002 Cincinnati Northeast - Blue Ash 3855 Hauck Road Sharonville, Ohio 45241 513-563-8330 Your Offer Price: $50.00 Number of Rooms: 2 Number of Nights: 4 Subtotal: $400.00 Taxes: $43.20 Processing Fee: $11.90 Total Charges: $455.10
  2. DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL! This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in via priceline. This should not have been a 1*. We got a complete refund from Priceline because this hotel was disgusting. There was a pair of dirty socks in the bed (under the sheets) when we checked in (obviously sheets had not been washed), we changed rooms but should have changed hotels. Woke up with some sort of insect bites all over our legs. I've stayed in much nicer Motel 6's. The lobby was wonderful, that where it stops. Marriott San Francisco Downtown Check-In Date: Saturday, July 27, 2002 Check-Out Date: Sunday, July 28, 2002 South Of Market - Convention Center 55 Fourth Street San Francisco, California 94103 415-896-1600 Reservation Information: Your Offer Price: $80.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $80.00 Taxes: $10.36 Processing Fee: $5.95 Total Charges: $96.31
  3. Nice 3*, very close to airport, nice Bay view from most rooms and very nice lobby/restraunt. I overpaid but overall I can't tell much difference between the 3*s and 4*s in San Francisco (except that the downtown 4*s are much worse). Marriott San Francisco Airport Check-In Date: Sunday, September 29, 2002 Check-Out Date: Monday, September 30, 2002 San Francisco Airport (SFO) 1800 Old Bayshore Hwy Burlingame, California 94010 650-692-9100 Your Offer Price: $70.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $70.00 Taxes: $6.10 Processing Fee: $5.95 Total Charges: $82.05
  4. Not grand, not bad either. Decent 3.5* hotel, shouldn't be 4* IMHO. Sheraton Grand Sacramento Hotel Check-In Date: Saturday, September 21, 2002 Check-Out Date: Sunday, September 22, 2002 Sacramento Downtown 1230 J Street Sacramento, California 95814 916-447-1700 Your Offer Price: $60.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $60.00 Taxes: $5.54 Processing Fee: $5.95 Total Charges: $71.49
  5. I WAY overpaid for this hotel in my opinon. This is the most I've ever paid for a priceline hotel (and I've stayed in a lot of very nice 4* hotels courtesy of priceline) and it wasn't even close to the majority of 3*s I've stayed in. VERY VALUABLE LESSON: Resort means almost nothing. As Priceline told me after booking this, it does NOT guarantee any particular star level so a resort could be a 2* hotel with "resort" ammenities. Other than the price this was a decent hotel, about like a nicer Days Inn or La Quinta, but on the beach. I did find out that this was still lower than even their preferred government and large corporate rates (hard for me to believe). Hilton Hawaiian Village Check-In Date: Saturday, October 19, 2002 Check-Out Date: Sunday, October 20, 2002 Waikiki North 2005 Kalia Road Honolulu, Hawaii 96815 808-949-4321 Reservation Information: Your Offer Price: $135.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $135.00 Taxes: $10.15 Processing Fee: $5.95 Total Charges: $151.10
  6. Decent hotel, not impressed for a 4*, but definately not a bad hotel. Hyatt Regency Sacramento Check-In Date: Sunday, October 27, 2002 Check-Out Date: Monday, October 28, 2002 Sacramento Downtown 1209 L Street Sacramento, California 95814 916-443-1234 Your Offer Price: $50.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $50.00 Taxes: $5.29 Processing Fee: $5.95 Total Charges: $61.24
  7. Another nice 3* near the airport. I like the airport zone in SF much better than downtown. Westin San Francisco Airport Check-In Date: Sunday, November 3, 2002 Check-Out Date: Monday, November 4, 2002 San Francisco Airport (SFO) One Bayshore Highway Millbrae, California 94030 650-692-3500 Reservation Information: Your Offer Price: $65.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $65.00 Taxes: $5.96 Processing Fee: $5.95 Total Charges: $76.91
  8. Very nice hotel, very close to the airport. Nicer than the San Francisco 4*s I've stayed in (for some reason I've had bad luck with 4*s in SF). Sheraton San Francisco Airport Check-In Date: Friday, November 8, 2002 Check-Out Date: Saturday, November 9, 2002 San Francisco Airport (SFO) 600 Airport Blvd Burlingame, California 94010 650-340-8500 Your Offer Price: $50.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $50.00 Taxes: $4.40 Processing Fee: $5.95 Total Charges: $60.35
  9. Using this board and a couple of other resources I was able to target and book the Westin Fort Lauderdale for 5/11/03-5/24/03, saved $1,232 :) . It was important get this hotel because it's a block away from a training facility I'm sending an employee to so I took a risk but it paid off. Room taxes of $72.93 for 13 nights suggest I hit the price ($51/night) perfectly. Here's the details: Hotel: The Westin Fort Lauderdale Zone: Fort Lauderdale North Star: 4* Dates: 5/11/03 - 5/24/03 (13 nights) Price: $663 ($51/night)
  10. Does anyone know if the number of nights and/or the number of rooms (or tickets for airfare) booked affect the price? Also, If I'm staying 7 nights and 2 of those nights happen to be peak times (due to an event or something) am I better off separating out those two nights so that I don't pay the higher rate for all 7 nights? Any help on this would be much appreciated, I've long wondered about this. Also, For airfare sometimes I book flights for myself and employees via priceline to conferences but we don't need to fly together. Am I better off bidding for two tickets or putting in two seperate bids for one ticket? Final question - If I'm staying 7 nights in a hotel, wouldn't it make sense to bid one night first to find the lowest price (using tax calculation) then bid the other six nights using just the succesfull hotels star level and zone at the calculated lowest rate? Thanks in advance!
  11. Will post a review as soon as I get back. 12. Booked Omni Colunnade Hotel via Priceline (4*) for pre-cruise stay on 5/16/03 for $60. Taxes were $5.63 so it looks like I was almost $15 too high, which I don't mind because I was trying to get it on the 1st shot without having to mess around a lot. I bid $60 for 4* for all Miami zones that had 4*s (I left the non 4*s unselected in case I needed to rebid). I haven't stayed in this hotel before but based on the reviews I've read it looks very nice, and for $41 it would be a steal (published room rates $130-400 for regular queen). I figure I'll spend $25 to rent a car (or $45 for a convertible). Last year I stayed (via priceline) for $60 at the 4* Mayfair House in Coconut Grove and it was awesome, I was hoping to get this hotel again. You should have seen the cabbies eyes light up when we told him where to take us. We realized why when we pulled in behind a Lamborghini, a Lotus esprit, and a bunch of Limos. The hotel was nice but the area of town was what really made it.
