  1. I am happy to report that using the HOTWIRE link as requested, I successfully received the Westin Bayshore for $132.00 a night for June 21-June 23. Although this price is higher than I have seen for this property on other dates, I feel it is a good deal. Booking directly with the hotel for the same dates was $230.00 a night. The icons included: Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Tennis Nearby Spa Services Thanks for your assistance!

  7. I called Hotwire yesterday. Initiallythe phone agent said they were only allowing changing of reservation through May 31st. When I explained that unfortunately the cruise lines were changing the itineraries up to and including June 14th, she put me on hold and checked and when she came back on she said her supervisor agreed to allow me to change my date. I had to help her look at Royal Caribbean's website to confirm that my itinerary had changed. Once that was done, she refunded the full amount of my initial win and then she had to help me to do the rebidding for the new date. I was not allowed to rebid on my own...sorry I couldn't use your link. The Hyatt that I had won for June was not available for my new date :). I settled for a 3 star Holiday Inn for the new date in July as the 4 star hotel that was available was quite a bit more expensive and the Holiday Inn was quite cheaper. So anyway, it all worked out and the rep at Hotwire was very pleasant. Thanks for your advice. Would you like me to post my new win for the Holiday Inn in a separate posting? Thanks again!!
  8. Thanks Thereuare and Colfax. I'll give it a try. If it works fabulous...if not at least I know I tried :) I'll let you know!
  9. We successfully bid and received the Hyatt Regency Irvine for 2 rooms on 6/13/09 for a 1 night pre-cruise hotel. Our cruise itinerary was majory impacted with the "Swine" flu and we opted to change our cruise to July to be able to sail our original itinerary and when things should be calmed down. I know this is an unusual situation, but I am curious if anyone has had any luck getting their pre-paid Hotwire hotel moved to another date for no fees or a small fee and if they have any suggestions on the best way to go about it. Contact Hotwire? Contact Hyatt? I am aware that I agreed to a non-cancellation reservation, but I am just wondering if it would be worth a try since we really had no control of the situation. Thanks for any help!
  10. Thank You AaronJB. I appreciated having your confirmation. I did receive the Hyatt Regency Irvine for the price of $79..00...it had dropped $3.00 per room this afternoon. I used the HOTWIRE link provided. This site has helped me multiple times in the past and I plan to use your services soon for the post cruise hotel. Please let me know if you would like me to post this win has a new post.
  11. Hi! Looking for 2 rooms near airport in Santa Ana for June 13th for 1 night. Icons showing are a 4 star hotel that is .8 miles from airport with Shuttle, Fitness Center, Restaurant, Business Center, Internet, Golf & Tennis. I am leaning towards the Hyatt Irvine, but no pool icon is listed. From reading other posts the Hyatt may fluctuates between 4 and 4.5 stars on Hotwire, correct? Pricing currently $82.00. Any help in confirming hotel with your best guess is appreciated! Thank you!
  12. I have been watching the posts on this wonderful website for this area for past couple of weeks and I have also been watching HOTWIRE. Today on Hotwire the price for most likely the Sheraton at Fisherman Wharf has been jumping between $89.00-109.00 so I was sure that I would be able to get the Sheraton on PRICELINE for close to $80.00. Starting Bid $70.00 Added Civic Center for rebid at $76.00 Added Marina rebid for $80.00 and accepted 3.5 star Sheraton Fisherman's Wharf for a total of $284.38 for 3 nights will fit our needs and our budget quite nicely for a little weekend getaway. I made the mistake once and won't do it again...so was sure to use your PRICELINE link. Thanks to all that post here to help the rest of us!
  13. I started at $75.00 and bid by $5.00 increments and suceeded with my final bid at $125.00. Do I need to post this anywhere else? We are excited with our win...it is going for $285.00 a night so basically got one night free! W San Diego Downtown San Diego & Harbor Island 421 West B Street San Diego, California 92101 619-231-8220 Check-Out Date: Sun, Jan 13, 2008 / 12:00 PM Amenities: Reservation and Billing Information Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $125.00 Subtotal: $500.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $74.54 Total Charges*: $574.54
  14. You have helped me identify a 3* hotel through Hotwire, but now I am contemplating trying to bid and see if I can get a 4* through Priceline for similar money. All of the 4* hotels listed would work great, but I have read your FAQ area and know new hotels can be added at any time, but I am thinking it might be fun to roll the dice. It appears that there are really not any bad hotels through Priceline that have been won in the past unlike some other areas that we have traveled to. If I am off base or if anyone would like to give me some bidding strategies, that would be great. It appears that I have lots of rebids. My pricing is anywhere from $85.00-$125.00. We are arriving late on Friday, but plan to use the trolley and see the areas we can't walk to on the 12th and will be setting sail on the Dawn Princess on the 13th. THANKS!
  15. I would really appreciate any help or suggestions regarding a hotel in San Diego for 2 rooms for 2 nights. Icons include Oceanfront, shuttle, fitness center, pool, restaurant, business center and internet. 3 star $109.00 I was thinking it might be the Holiday Inn on the Bay and they maybe they have added the oceanfront icon back, but there is no laundry listed as in the past. I did a package and that hotel does show up from Hotwire. Any ideas?? Thanks!!!
  16. I have used Priceline a couple of time with some success with your help of course, but typically use Hotwire. I missed the Westin Horton Plaza on hotwire for $132.00 :) so now looking at booking either priceline or hotwire. Is it too early to be successful in San Diego for priceline? We are cruising on Sunday and arriving late on Friday so that we can enjoy all of Saturday in San Diego. We are 2 couples so we need 2 rooms. Would prefer to be in the downtown-gaslamp-harbor island area, but are open to suggestions. We would prefer 4 star, hotel but the 3 star hotel list here doesn't look too bad. Our budget would be anything less than $150.00 per night per room with tax. Closer to $100.00 would just be the cherry on top :) Any San Diego suggestions, bidding help or even hotwire hotels that you think would be in a good location much appreciated! Thanks!!
  17. Glad to do my part. Just for the record, I did the booking with HOTWIRE for my friend and I did use your link. It is the least I could do! Thanks!
  18. Helping a friend who was not particular about her hotel except wanted an airport shuttle for IAH. Icons included: Shuttle Fitness Center Business Center Complimentary Breakfast Pool Laundry Golf Nearby $59.00 with tax $71.20. About $30.00 less than booking directly with HI. Hotel gets good reviews on tripadvisor. Thanks for all those people that post to help everyone!! It is appreciated :)
  19. 3.5* London (Kensington-Earls Court-Knightsbridge) Holiday Inn Forum, Kensington - Earls Court - Knightsbridge Amenities: Restaurants, Fitness Center, Business Center 1 room(s) @ $99.00 per night x 3 night(s) $297.00 Hotel Taxes and fees: $56.99 Total Price $353.99 I am very happy as this property on Hotwire allowed me to book 3 adults in one room and it was $187.00 less than the hotel I had booked and this hotel gets better reviews. The other hotel did include breakfast, but this should buy me quite a bit of breakfast...oh wait maybe not...it is London :) I used the Savingsbarn.com link. Thanks!!
