  1. That's Tallahassee Inn. I see that this property has been downgraded from 2.5*
  2. Weekend stay. Was not able to get any of the super deals that others have reported. Lots of bids (up to $50) rejected for better and closer properties.
  3. Availability is very tight for this Tuesday night -- many hotels in wide area are booked up. Lots of bids (up to $60)for closer and better properties were rejected before I ended up with this one. This was rejected @ $45 w/ $58 counteroffer. Looks OK from reviews.
  4. Weekend stay. Started at $40, counteroffer of +$12, added zone. This property has free parking, which is what I was looking for. Thanks to this board, knew where to start and what to expect.
  5. First bid was $25, got counteroffer for $33. Added $2 and a zone. Prior bids at 2.5* rejected up to $33.
  6. prior bids rejected all the way to $33. these are separate stays
  7. Bid $55, rejection came back with $70 counteroffer. Rebid $58, accepted. Have seen this property reported for $55. This is holiday weekend (National Day) and October is high season. This is Chongwen zone.
  8. Bid $60, rejected w/ $77 counteroffer. Rebid $65, accepted. Am disappointed. Was looking for Hyatt, which regularly comes up. With tax and fees, stay totals $81, which is $4 MORE than available on Radisson website for prepaid, non-refundable promo rate.
  9. This was for a Thursday stay, off-season. WARNING -- although not listed as such, there is a $12 "resort fee" per room, per night. The consolation prize is the fee now covers the cold breakfast buffet. This is not much of a resort, but it is a reasonably comfortable property with an interesting history. It opened as the Desi Arnez Desert Motel in 1956 and has been rebuilt many times since. It was the original host to the Bob Hope Desert Classic, which is still played on the adjacent golf course. Smallish -- 126 rooms -- with lots of memorabilia on the walls.
  10. not quite as good as it seems because parking costs $9/day
  11. Not a fabulous bargain, but it's a holiday weekend and lower bids were rejected.
  12. rejected @ $48, the level at previous posters have reported success.
  13. Update: 1. Hotel is acceptable mid-range. Tired, but servicable. Exterior in poor shape, but rooms (at least mine) clean and comfortable and in good repair. Decent amenities. A good value for the price I paid. 2. Saw the hotel copy of bill and that PL paid $55 for the room, meaning that I was rejected on an "even money" bid. Apparantly, the PL surcharge is not enough.
  14. Bid $55, rejected but got $70 counteroffer. Added zone (free rebid) and bid again @$58. Accepted.
  15. Amenities described as Continental Breakfast. PL rates this property @ 2*.
  16. Although others have reported this hotel for $55, I tried repeatedly and was rejected up through $65. Hotel was empty those dates (weekend). BTW, a very nice property, conveniently located. At check-in was assigned to superior room (2 room suite, which is basically an extra large room split).
  17. Rejected numerous times @ lower bids. Final bid made 2 days prior to check-in.
  18. No, no airport shuttle. A couple of the giant Stapleton hotels have shuttles, but, if that is your primary concern, stay @ the Marriott Gateway (airport zone). Every 20 minutes.
  19. I started w/ airport zone and thought I was getting a free rebid by adding downtown since no 2* had previously been reported in that zone. But that's OK, I don't mind staying downtown.
  20. bidding w/ airport area, all bids through $40 rejected. Unfortunately, per hotel website valet parking only ($8/day).
  21. same day reservation. rejected @ $45 and $50.
  22. at check-in I saw hotwire paid $25 for this room, which suggests that is the proper bid on priceline (don't know if this hotel is also on priceline)
