  1. Used PRICELINE link from BetterBidding. A couple of days ago, I tried with $55 for 4* in Coral Gables - Rejected. (Thought I saw some $55 wins in the calendar for the Hyatt Regency.) Today, started with $60 for 4* Coral Gables - Rejected. Added North Miami and rebid with $63 - Accepted for the Westin Collonade. 2 nights from 12/10 to 12/12. UPDATE: Topic Title got truncated for some reason. Dates incomplete.
  2. Hello, I'm trying to book a night's stay in Niagara Falls (Canada) for 9/11. I get a 3* in Hotwire with the only amenity being a POOL in the Niagara Falls vicinity. I know somebody else already asked about this property in this forum, it wasn't identified then. Can somebody help me identify this property? Thanks.
  3. Just curious, how far out in terms of months is a good time to book a hotel via PRICELINE? I thought a couple of months is good, but I did jump the gun on this trip a bit considering that I wanted a 4*. Is 3 months too far out?
  4. Thanks everyone! Accepted at 76 per night for the Omni at ChampionsGate between 12/5 - 12/10. Moved up from 70 to 72 to 76. Should have stayed at 75 :) Based on prior reviews in this forum and tripadvisor, I'm satisfied. I'm thankful I didn't land the Hilton. If I haven't mentioned this already, this site is awesome. I used this on an earlier occasion to book a stay in Seattle and found it to be useful then too. Thanks again ! Oops. Forgot to mention that I used the PRICELINE link from this site.
  5. Thanks for the response. There's been a change of plans and my party is down to 3 (myself, spouse and daughter). I've been trying to use PRICELINE via BB to book a 4* (or resort) in the WDW vicinity for Dec 5-10. I started off at 55$ and am actually at 70$ right now, but surprisingly, no success yet. Based on what I read, that week is not supposed to be busy. What am I doing wrong? Frankly, I'm quite surprised.
  6. Hello, I'm planning a 4 night stay at Downtown Disney in Orlando this November, specifically looking at the Hilton. I was planning to use PRICELINE. My party includes 3 adults (one of the a senior citizen) and a 5-yr old. Does this require 2 rooms to be booked? Can I make a 1-room booking and then arrange for extra beds/rollaways ? Will Hilton accommodate it or give me the "Priceline treatment"? In the past, I've made bookings for my family (2 adults and a 5-yr old) via Priceline and stayed in 1 room without a problem. Not sure whether I can pull this off with an extra adult. Any help (or other hotel choices) would be appreciated. Thanks.
  7. I won a bid for 105$ + taxes for the Seattle Renaissance for August 30th using the PRICELINE link from this site. It's not a great price since I could have got a 4* for that price range. I was a bit careless and messed up my bidding (bid for a 3* instead of a 4*). Still it's not a bad price compared to the prices that I see in the "other" regular travel sites for the same hotel. Thanks for all the help.
  8. Thanks for the tip. No, in this trip I'm not planning to rent a car. I'm staying just for a night after a cruise and catching a morning flight. Is the airport shuttle reliable? I also wish I had been a bit more careful going the other way. I booked a single night Aug30th for 105 + taxes for the Seattle Renaissance. I could have got a 4* instead of the Renaissance :) . The reviews don't seem very promising. Thanks in advance.
  9. I just bid successfully for 64$ (:-) for the Seattle Airport area using the PRICELINE link in this forum for staying 09-07-08. I was trying unsuccessfully over the past 3 days for 60$. Seemed to be the going rate for the Hilton, during August at least. Finally, I gave in and ended up at 64$ (came to 80.66 after taxes).
  10. Thanks thereuare. Appreciate the response. I'm bidding for myself, the wife and my 4-yr old daughter. As early as last winter, I haven't had problems with all of us staying in a standard room in the major hotel chains. So, yes, I'm bidding only for 1 room. I'm looking for only 1 night for Aug 30th and out by Aug by 31st. Thanks, lastmohicanIL
  11. Hello, I'm a first-time user of this site and have found very useful information about the rebid process. I'm looking to book a hotel (4* preferably) for my family in downtown Seattle for Aug 30th. Based on some initial research in the winning bids section in this site, I couldn't find corresponding numbers. Could anybody point me towards some realistic ballpark numbers (per night), please? I can see numbers in the range of 125 for June and July. I already tried PL yesterday at 95$, but with no luck. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, lastmohicanIL
