  1. Thanks once again for the help. I booked this property and it is the Pueblo Bonito Pacifico. Below is exactly what I received on my confirmation page and I used your HOTWIRE link. Breathless Cabo San Lucas is the other 4.5 star in this zone and after doing more homework that property only has about 900 TripAdvisor reviews and minimum check in age is 18 where the Pueblo has over 3,000 TA reviews and minimum check in age is 21. Booked it and it is the Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Resort & Spa-All Inclusive-Adult Only in Cabo San Lucas (Pedregal). An adult over 21 must be present at check-in to assume all liability for the booking. Hotel Amenities Resort Free parking Free breakfast Free Internet Beachfront hotel Free food and drinks Smoke-free rooms Free activities Fitness center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business center Internet access Golf nearby Tennis nearby Spa services Accessibility Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Accessible parking Roll-in shower
  2. I'm planning a trip to Cabo San Lucas in June for the wife and I 6/14-6/18. Trying to confirm this property, per previous reports it appears to be Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Resort & Spa-All Inclusive-Adult Only. Prior winners show 'Business Center' but don't see that on this list. No children activity amenity listed and that should speak to the Adult Only. Below is what I have for amenities and info. thanks 4.5 Star $250 per night HOT RATE ALL-INCLUSIVE Cabo San Lucas area 4.5 out of 5.0 Trip Advisor FULL AMENITIES: Free parking, Free breakfast, Free Internet, Resort, Beachfront hotel, Free food and drinks, Smoke-free rooms, Free activities, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower
  3. So an update here, I decided to try and go for the Hilton and book the first night only on Hotwire to make sure it was the Hilton for $130/night. Put in my info and submitted the request and I got a message that said my session timed out which I knew could not be correct and then a few seconds later a new message appeared that said the rate has changed and is now $173 per night. I started a new search for the full seven days, attempted to purchase that for $131 a night and got the same message that the rates increased to $171 and would now be a total of $1412 out the door. Given that price is now close to the retail Hilton rates I stopped trying with Hotwire. However I work for a large company who I just found out has a corporate rate with Hilton and I was able to book an Executive room with Panoramic view, private balcony, high-floor, Free WiFi & offers lounge access with complimentary continental breakfast, evening hors d'oeuvres and Honor Bar access. Total price was $1520 out the door with my corporate discount which was a tad more than I wanted to pay but seems worth it for the amenities and room type. Really appreciate you help and assistance, was hoping to get that HOTWIRE rate but ended up not being available.
  4. I've done a lot of research and need a family friendly hotel with large pool and a nice beach that has some room and swimmable for kids. The hilton fits the bill and also has a family policy that up to two children 18 years and under stay for free when sharing room with at least one adult. When dining with a paying adult, children 5 and under eat for free and 6-12 get a 50% discount. the only downside of the Hilton is smaller rooms compared to a lot of other properties that have larger apartment style rooms/suites. I have also considered booking 4 nights at Hilton and 3 at another property but the wife isn't real crazy about switching hotels.
  5. Thanks for the input guys. I also noticed a previous winner of the Hilton shows childrens activities and that is also still a listed amenity of the BiddingHelper.com tool for the possible Hilton. I will keep working on this and post any updates.
  6. Wow what a great tool, just re-did the search. What I think is the Hilton at $131/night had these fully listed Free parking, Free Internet, Resort, Beachfront hotel, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Children's activities, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower Radisson possibility is $92/night are these Free parking, Free Internet, Beachfront hotel, Oceanfront hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby The last 4 star shows differently on the BiddingHelper and shows as a 4 star hotel instead of resort with these amenities $151/night Free parking, Free Internet, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Spa services
  7. I'm going to Barbados October 22-29 (Saturday to Saturday) and been eying the Hilton and don't want the Radisson or Crane. It will be 2 adults and 2 kids under 12 and searching hotwire extensively. The Hilton retail rates have increased lately and I missed out on booking a good deal through a Hilton Honor deal so this is my backup plan trying to Identify the Hilton, any help would really be appreciated. thanks This is the one I think is the Hilton 95% recommended with the following amenities and shows as 4-Star Resort $130/night Free parking, Free Internet, Resort, Beachfront hotel, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Tennis nearby I think this is the Radisson as 4-star Hotel 95% recommended $93/night and bedding guaranteed 2 beds Free parking, Free Internet, Beachfront hotel, Oceanfront hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center and I believe this is the Crane which shows as 4-star Resort 75% recommended and amenities of Free parking, Free Internet, Resort, Suite, Oceanfront hotel, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Self-service laundry
  8. Just a follow up, my aunt and uncle decided to change their travel dates to April 25-28 (Mon-Wed). The weekend of 3/27 the Venetian rates were $117 on Hotwire (rack of $169 and a special for $149). This past weekend they went up to $171 on Hotwire (rack of $199, and a special of $219), I bid on priceline up to $120 with no luck, and got a counter of $159. That was too high for them and they ended up booking through worry free vacations for a grand total of $700.78. they have round trip air for two and three nights at Caesars Palace.
  9. Do you mind posting all of the amenities, that is only a partial list. I think I have seen that hotel and just wanted to confirm that is was the Allegro. Thanks
  10. I went to Vegas last year with three guy friends and booked a room at the Aladdin for two. Me and a friend checked in, and they tried to give us a King room. I said I didn't want to share a bed with my firend and the front desk person said no problem and gave us a room with two beds and two room keys for no additional charge. There are so many people staying in Vegas hotels, they cant tell who belongs to what room.
  11. I didn't realize EacyClickTravel was the same as LMT. I will definitely use them in the future. I called LMT and they advised me that I will probably get an answer on Monday wether or not the Monte Carlo will release any more rooms to them. My guess is that it wont happen at that price. Excalibur is not too bad of an option, and the price is right. It's got the train to Mandalay Bay and Luxor, and is also in a great location.
  12. My Aunt and Uncle will be in Vegas for check-in Monday April 18 and check out Thursday April 21. This just happens to be the same time as the National Broadcasters Association conference where 132,000 people are expected to be in town. None the less rates on the strip are through the roof, and they would prefer a 4 star on the strip for around $100-$140. Normally on a Mon-Wed that would be fine, but not this week. Priceline was not helpful, I bid up to $140 and of course got nothing. Went to lastminuettravel.com and am trying to book the Monte Carlo for $138 a night through their 'Off The Record' hotel. The price was so good that when I booked it, their system said the reservations is "On Request" and they will confirm the price with the hotel and let me know but booking is not yet confirmed. As a back up I see a 3 star on Hotwire on the Strip for $105 with amenities (Casino, Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Golf Nearby). Cant figure this one out, it is not on the list, nor in vacation package search. Anyone have any idea what this is? I see the Tuscany is $125 on Strip East, that could also be a possobility at this point. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

  14. I just stumbled onto a few new websites for booking vacation packages. I live in Denver and the major tour operator for packages to the Caribbean, Mexico and Hawaii is Apple Vacations (www.applevacations.com). They have some good deals every once in a while, but I have always had better luck using Priceline and Hotwire. I am planning a trip to the Mexican Rivera this August and found a few good tour operators for deals that beat Priceline and Hotwire. www.worryfreevacations.com and www.funjet.com They use charter and commercial airlines. Right now both are offering promotional code discounts if you book your trip 60-120+ days in advance.
  15. Yes this was the Omni Puerto Aventuras, and has been down graded to a 4 star hotel. Always look for the Boutique ammenity, because the hotel only has 30 rooms. Great placem and location. Very quite and private, plenty of room on teh beach.
  16. No problem. I just discovered this wonderful site, and since I have been using hotwire and priceline over the past few years I hope to continue to benefit and help others get great deals on travel.
  17. This was the first and only time so far that I have had a problem with a Hotwire partner. After I made the reservation I called the hotel and asked for a room with one king bed, the hotel said since I booked on the internet I need to go talk to the internet site for specific room request. I explained how hotwire works, and they said there is nothing they can do for me, and that they were out of King rooms for that date anyway. I said ok, and left it at that. My wife and I arrived at the hotel to check in, and my car was one of ten in the parking lot at 4:00 in the afternoon. I checked in and again asked for a king bed, the front desk said no problem they have plenty of king rooms available, but it will cost me an extra $7. I said I will take it, then the guy said since I booked on priceline?? I will have to call them to request a king room. I educated him on how hotwire works, and he did not seem to care and would not budge. I said forget it, and he gave me a room with two beds. The room was nice and in a good location I would have just preferred a king bed seeing that they had plenty available. I emailed hotwire after all of this, and they apologized. They said if this ever comes up again to please call them right away and they will try and work with the hotel to accomidate a specific request.
