DeltaPurser, thanks for the feedback. I have written a complain to Marriott and ask the manager of this property contact me. I am thinking like you, the Fairfield Inns should be 1* and the Fairfield Inns & Suites should stay as 2* hotels. :)

I am not one to complain but this FI is perhaps the worst I have ever stayed it. It is as bad as the last time I stayed here! First off--Check in Customer Service is really a Dis-service! The property and room is in horrible condition! The checkin girl said that this is what you get when you book Priceline! I suspect the b'fast tomorrow will be as poor as last time. I have a feeling that Marriott will dump this property because it does not maintain the Marriott standards. :)

I've noticed posts elsewhere of folks getting the 5* JW Marriott in Phuket in the $41 range. :)

WOW! Please tell us what exactly was so wrong with all the rooms so we all can avoid bidding on 2.5* hotels in this zone! Hope you told the manager on duty of your displeasure. :)

I hope this is not a trend with hotels that accept negotiated bids with Priceline! Please keep us posted on what you find. :)

I too am sorry to hear about your bidding error. Oh, this is the first time I have seen a LaQuinta come up as a 2.5* hotel. LQ's have come up in the past as 2* properties. Please let us know what this LQ has that makes it a 2.5*. Tks! :)

No, I am just a real nice guy (I work at it) and it shows when I meet folks! My opinion, it is not a matter of fact that PL people are harrassed. Perhaps I have been just plain lucky! ATTITUDE! :)

It has almost always been my experience that most hotels will offer the Upgraded Amenities when I show my membership in "Their Club". It is understood that I will not receive points for my PL stays, but get points for the incidentials I charge. Plus I tip the check-in agent that usually gets me anything I want or need (upgraded room, executive floor, breakfast and cocktail coupons)! I have a good attitude and treat the counter folks kindly. Perhaps, I have been just lucky during almost all my stays. The Hiltons are often times where I really make out! :)

One of the nicer Fairfield Inns we have stayed in. No prob getting 2 beds! Nice FREE Wi-Fi in very clean and comfortable rooms. Nice deluxe Cont. B'fast. :)

JACKPOT, again!! Wow! a 2 room suite (2* Hotel--$30/nite)! Suites as big or bigger than many of the Embassy Suites! Nicely furnished & very clean--remodeled wing. A nice tip at check-in made a difference. :)

Just checked in to this poor & stinky Comfort Inn and was charged $10/room more for 2 beds! The nasty asst. manager Sean said that it is PL's policy that dictates that PL bookers get only 1 bed! This is the first time, and I've booked lots with PL, I have been charged extra for 2 beds in a room. Yes, I tried to use a $10 tip with the desk clerk but she was new and scared of her shadow and said she could not take it! So be it! :)

When I stayed at this hotel it did indeed meet the 3* requirements for PL. Plz, Let PL know of what is lacking so it can be considered for downgrade. Did you use your Starwood card at checkin? Thanks for the heads up! :)

FYI--I have stayed here before too and you might want to request the remodeled wing. Plus being a member of Sheraton Starwood might help with an upgrade! :)

That's sad you got a bad room. I stayed there on 30 May 04 for $32/nite and found the room to be just fine, nice king size bed with an excellent AC and FREE local calls. :)

Beware! I was just informed by this hotel that Priceline reserves a room with just 1 double bed! :) I have put in a request for 2 beds!
