Actually, I am bidding for a specific property - The Hyatt Regency Tamaya. It is the only Resort hotel in the Santa Ana zone. Not sure what you mean by the reminder and not bidding on a specific property. It doesn't get any more specific than this. I am from Albuquerque, and I know that it's the only hotel in that area. The weekend in question is Memorial Day weekend; would that be the reason why rates are higher? Would you recommend waiting until it's closer?

HI all, Having a little trouble getting a room at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya in Albuquerque at the Santa Ana zone. The dates I need are: May 26-28, 2006 I tried my bidding for 4 rooms (max) and started bidding at $60. Used free rebids to increase bids to $65, $70, $75, $80, $85, $90, and $95 with no luck. Before I go any further, does anyone know if I may be more successful as the dates get close since it's so far in advance? And does anyone know if my chances are decreased because I am requesting multiple rooms? Does anyone have any advice as to what I should try next? We really want rooms here because we are having a wedding reception nearby at the Santa Ana golf resort. Any help is appreciated.

Wanted a 4* Room in the French Quarter, only 24-hours notice. Bid $60 in FQ region, not accepted, added Conv Center with $65 bid, no luck. Increased in increments of $5 and $10 adding free rebid zones that do not offer 4* (there are many of them in New Orleans!! makes free rebids easy!) Until got to $100 and offer accepted for the Omni Royal Orleans 4* Hotel in the French Quarter, right where I wanted to be. Dates: 4/28/05 - 4/29/05

$31 bid not accepted, selected additional zone @ southwest omaha where there is no 2.5* and rebid $39....ACCEPTED. Originally tried 3* @ $31, $36, and $39 - unsuccesful. Previous bids of $39 for 3* downtown were successful at the Sheraton; must be because it's close (next week). Had my wife bid and success. There was previously only ONE hotel listed on this board for downtown (the Sheraton) so now we have two!

Everytime I have tried PriceLine for a room in uptown Abq, I am able to get the Sheraton for $39. Once I booked with less than a week notice and had to bid $49.

9/7-9/10 Last year paid $80 for san diego coastal and got Hyatt Regency Islandia-what a dump. The main part of the hotel is fairly nice, but they put us in a different building behind the hotel tower, and the nicest thing in the room was a marble counter in the bathroom! The bedroom looked like a quality inn; I've stayed at nicer Holiday Inns! I saw one of the rooms in the tower and it wasn't very nice for a 4 star either. This hotel is old and run down. Hotel is really close to Sea World, probably why the $$ is so high by PL standards.

2004! Bid $50 for the Downtown San Diego area 9/10-9/13, was rejected, then bid $60 and chose san diego coastal and got the Hyatt Regency La Jolla. This is supposed to be a really nice place. Last year paid $80 for san diego coastal and got Hyatt Regency Islandia-what a dump.
