We really need to get a room with 2 beds. Would you happen to know if the standard rooms have 2 beds? I know that with Priceline, they only guarantee for 2 people. In Hotwire, they ask for the number of travelers, so does that mean that they accomodate for the number of people that you specify? I was really hoping for the Hyatt since we stayed at that property before. Thanks.

First bid of $45 was accepted. Should have bid lower, but the median was $125 for the hotel. This was not on the hotel list, actually thought I was going to get Holiday Inn, but I am happy that it was the Marriott instead. I decided to book directly with the hotel. The prices had gone up considerably on Priceline overnight. The median for the 3.5* was at $119 on Saturday morning and had gone up to a median of $203 by Monday. The median for 3* was $199. With that being said, even my last bid of $94 was denied. The hotel I ended up getting was not much more than the 3* offered by Hotwire. Thank you for all your help!

I actually used Priceline for a 3.5* in the same area. I started my bid at $50 and have been increasing my bid in $5 increments. My last bid was at $89, which was rejected. I also added one other zone that doesn't offer 3.5*. Since the Hotwire price was not much more than the $89, I wanted to see if the hotel was decent and if I should go with that. I also understand that the Hotwire is a 3* versus 3.5* with Priceline. Would you know which 3* hotels Priceline uses for the same date in the same area? Thanks for all your help!

3* Residence Inn Salt Lake City - Sandy thru PRICELINE for $78.00 on 1/23-1/25/09 Started bid at $45 and added different zones with $5 increments, all denied. Tried the following day and when I bid $69, I got a message that they would accept the bid if I bid $17 more. I chose to add a new zone and bid $9 more at $78 and it was accepted.
