  2. The dates I had plugged in are 2/18-2/25 and it shows the amenities I listed. I went to the Choice Hotels webpage and I checked your dates of 2/14-2/15 and it shows no rooms available at this property. I am guessing the property you found on HOTWIRE is not the same one. The rodeo is in town so availability and prices of rooms may be fluctuating.
  3. No, it only shows the amenities I listed. Just now, I checked using the Bidding Helper Easy Tab using a future date and clicked on FULL AMENITIES. It still only shows the amenities I mentioned.

  13. Here is the answer I received in an email from Hotwire Express: As a PRICELINE EXPRESS customer, one of the benefits of the Express program is the ability to block certain hotels from all your future searches on Hotwire. You may reply to this email or call our Hotwire Express Agents at the number below to initiate the block. You will receive a confirmation email once the block is in place. After the hotel is blocked, you must be logged into your account on the Hotwire site for the hotel to be removed from your results. Removing this hotel from your search results may limit availability and cause higher rates for this location. Please note that we are only able to block the particular hotel at this location and not an entire chain of hotels. In addition they wrote: In regards to Star Rating upgrade, once a star upgrade is offered and not chosen, it is no longer available for booking at the upgrade rate. As part of your Express membership you may from time to time be offered star upgrades again.
  14. As a Hotwire Express member, one of the options given me is the "ability to block unwanted hotels by using "Hotel Block"". I wonder where and how I could do that. I have no need of the function right now but I know there are certain dreaded hotels that I would like to avoid in the future. Has any members ever used that function successfully?
  15. Amenities: parking, breakfast, internet, fitness, pool, business, laundry, accessible bathroom, handicapped parking. 95% recommended. The reviews made it pretty obvious it was this property, which is what I was hoping for. As usual, I used your HOTWIRE link in making my purchase.
  16. This was a PRICELINE EXPRESS purchase. Amenities: breakfast, internet, pool, parking, pets allowed. I used coupon code HOLIDAY to get an additional 5% off the $28 purchase price. Daily advertised price is $69. I even beat what appears to be the same hotel on Hotwire by more than $100 total! Since this is a three week stay, I am pleased to get this property with the full kitchen.
  17. I emailed several airport hotels, most of which did not reply. Of the ones that did, most wanted to charge a regular nightly rate with no early check-in guaranteed or a day rate only $10 or $15 off the nightly rate. One even wanted to charge me for two nights! I settled on the Radisson Hotel SFO Bay Front in Brisbane. They agreed to give me a room to cover my layover hours for $60. That should work out fine for me!
  18. Thanks for catching that. Here is the full list of amenities: Free Parking Free Breakfast Free Internet Pet friendly Airport Shuttle Pool(s) Business Center Self service laundry Internet access Golf Nearby Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking
  19. Amenities: Free Parking, Free Breakfast, Free Internet, Pet friendly, Airport Shuttle, Pool(s), Business Center, Self service laundry, Internet access Amenities listed are a bit different from your Hotwire hotel list and it has dropped from a 3* to a 2.5*. Hotwire reviews convinced me it was this property which is what I was hoping for. As usual, I used your HOTWIRE support link to make my purchase.
  20. My date is on Jan 8, 2013 from 12pm to around 4 pm. Since I just wanted a place to shower and have a little shut-eye between flights, just looking for something cheap which is nearby and has a shuttle. I will take your advice and inquire from some of the hotels directly. If I had to wait until 3 pm to check in, that wouldn't do me much good. If I can't something reasonable, I might just crash on a sofa or recliner in the SFO USO lounge. :)
  21. I will be arriving at SFO on 8 Jan 2013 at 11am from China and have a 6 1/2 hour layover before my domestic flight. Is anyone aware of airport hotels that have special day rates? It would be nice to take a shower and a nap if I can find someplace reasonable and convenient. Should I just try to bid on a cheap Priceline room? The problem is that I would want to be able to check in by noon. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  22. I was bidding for a 2.5* in the airport area inching my way up to $54. I was upgraded to a 3 star. I used your PRICELINE link.
  23. Thanks for adding this to the Priceline Hotel list. Just to confirm, this is a 2.5*, not a 3*. You correctly have it listed under the San Antonio Medical Center area even though it is called Baymont Inn and Suites Northwest. Incidently, this property was formerly a Hampton Inn.
