  1. Using the PRICELINE link, I started the bid at $74 and successfully won at $88. We are staying two nights. The money we saved apparently is going towards shopping according to my wife. I am looking forward to seafood myself. Mmm... Details below: Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $88.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Room Subtotal: $176.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $34.78 (USD) Total Room Cost: $210.78 (USD)
  2. Taking the advice from some of the successful bids around that time, using the PRICELINE link I started my bid at $65 and no good. So over several days, I finally got it at $74. Ended up going to the Doubletree Seattle-Airport site to find out that it's $16 + tax for self-parking, and $20 + tax for valet parking.
  4. Always used PRICELINE, but bid up to $58 and still no good for a 3.5*. So I decided to check out Hotwire. Initially they asked $58 for a 3.5*, but decided to wait a bit since I am not rushed. I signed up to watch for price changes, and today it dropped to $52, so I jumped on it. Using the site's HOTWIRE link, I ended with the Doubletree Hotel. I was hoping for Radisson, as they offered free parking, but it's a gamble when you pick Airport or Downtown. Still, with the $16 / night premium on self-parking, I am happy with the price. Now I just need to find a deal in Vancouver, BC. :) Here is the breakdown: Hotel rate per night - Hotwire hot Rate: $52.00 Nights: 1 Rooms: 1 Subtotal: $52.00 Tax recovery charges and fees: $13.92 Total price: $65.92
  5. Using the PRICELINE link, I attempted to bid $31 for a 3* hotel in Tech Center South. I got rejected but got an offer for $8 more, so I tried adding Tech Center North -- still rejected. I decided to add $2 instead and got it. Here is the breakdown: Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $33.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Room Subtotal: $33.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $11.64 (USD) Total Room Cost: $44.64 (USD)
  6. Using the PRICELINE link, I attempted to bid $45 for a 3.5* hotel. I got rejected, so I tried downgrading to a 3* and ended up with Hyatt Place. Still a good deal in my opinion. I stayed at the Lombard Hyatt Place for $38 a couple of years ago, and it was the sweetest deal I got (with BetterBidding's help of course). Hopefully this will be the same. Here is the breakdown: Your Offer Price: $45.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $45.00 Taxes and Fees: $14.90 Total Charges*: $59.90
  7. Used PRICELINE link for BetterBidding, got $79 / night on the first bid. Staying 2 nights.
