I just called the hotel to request a non-smoking room, reservation clerk was very friendly and told me that although they can't guarantee a n/s room, 99% of all their rooms are n/s and it shouldn't be a problem. He also offered to enroll me in their gold passport program (I already am) and then offered to add my gold passport number to this reservation so I'll earn points on any incidentals. I hope this is a good sign of good service to come. :)

Accepted my first bid of $50. Lowest avail rate on Holiday Inn's website for same day is $109.

Tried bidding $65 COS north, rejected. Added South and raised to $70 and accepted. Internet Rate online was $135 for full payment or $155 standard rate.
