  1. Yesterday I booked through your HOTWIRE link the Tremont Chicago Hotel over Memorial weekend, May 25th -29th. Amenities: Boutique Smoke Free Restaurant Free Internet Golf Cost was $59 per night. I looked at many weekends thought the summer and and the cost was the same. Later that night I looked again at many weekends and the cost was $65. I am not sure why it was so inexpensive but I took advantage of it as soon as I saw it.
  2. On PRICELINE EXPRESS Omni Hotel Amenities Pet friendly Outdoor Pool Gym Business Center Restaurant Non Smoking approval 9+
  3. New listing for Union Square East. Rated 4.5 on tripadvisor and approved by 100% hotwire guests. Amenities are Free Interne Pet Friendly Boutique Hotel Fitness Center Restaurant Business Center Internet Access Booked through your HOTWIRE link at the top of the page. Thank you.
  4. Thank you for your guidance. I think I am going to defer for now as I am only 90% sure of the dates. Otherwise I would likely book it. Thanks again.
  5. Anyone care to guess what hotel this 3* is in Times Square for $91 for the above dates? Amenities are: Fitness Restaurant Business Internet No approval rate is given as they are still collecting data on this property Trip Advisor rates it 3.5 stars
  6. Way in advance booking for next year over President's Day weekend. Booked via the HOTWIRE link at top of this page. 95% approval rating with these amenities: Fitness Business High Speed Internet
  7. I also noticed that same hotel with the same amenities next year (up to two rooms) for May 24-29th for $137 per night. The same deal is available for the same 5 days on the next 2 weekends. One rarely sees those prices anywhere in New York for those days, as it tends to be busy up to the end of June. We always go around that time, but since I go with my mother, staying downtown is a bit too much for her so I did not book it. If I was going by myself or with a younger person, I would have definitely booked it as I don't mind staying downtown. Anyway if this is the W hotel, I walked inside it a few weeks ago and it looked quite nice. It is right on the edge of the Trade Center site placed in such a way you can see the inverted fountain of WTC #2 but not the Freedom Tower.
  8. Make note that the Roger Williams charges a resort fee of $18 to those who book through HOTWIRE. They really should not do this as this is not a resort, but beware of this additional fee when you check in.
  9. Add this hotel to your list for Milan, Italy. I booked it at work thus could not access your site for the booking as forums are banned. Best Western Hotel Cavalieri Della Corona Area Milan Malpensa Airport for one night 12/10/09 for $116 3.5* Amenities Airport Shuttle Pool Complimentary Breakfast Restaurant Note that the same rate is available on the hotel's website.
  10. Booked via the above HOTWIRE link. Amenities include: Fitness Restaurant Business Center Internet Access Tennis THis is typically a slower time in NYC and sometimes good rates are available if you book early. Because the slowing economy there is a chance rates will be even lower at some of the other hotels at a later date. For instance I have stayed at the Sheraton Manhattan and the Parker Meridian in previous years for $100 to $119 per night. Nonetheless, for me there is no need to postpone booking when the maximum saving will only be $30 per night in a city where rooms go for $500 per night. I look forward to staying in this hotel as I have always enjoyed my stays at Intercontinental Hotels in other cities and the location of this hotel is excellent.
  11. For those of you interested, I just noticed a HOTWIRE rate of $126 to $129 for a 3.5* midtown east hotel next summer. The amenities are restuarant, fitness, internet and business center. THis is probably either the Roosevelt or the Tudor House Hotel, but it also could be something else. Anyway, for a person who can make definitive plans for that far in advance, this might be a pretty good deal. Addendum: The above rates were seen thoughout July, 2009 and includes some rates as low as $114, e.g. July 12 to 17th.
  12. Booked the Sheaton Manhattan for the above dates using the HOTWIRE link at the top of this page. Amenities include: Fitness Pool Restaurant Internet Business-Center ! stayed here 2 years ago for $97 at about the same time, but did not see this rate last year so I stayed at the Parker Meridien (A steal at $124). Anyway, when I looked in the lobby last July, I could see it was completely renovated. (not sure about the rooms) When I say this similar rate, I had to jump at it as this is a spectular price for the city. Two years ago, I went with my mother and we arrived late at the Sheraton, and the only room that was available was the tiniest of rooms with a double bed. When I checked in I told the desk person we needed two beds. He said he would get us one as soon as one was available. THe next day at 4:00pm we got a message from the front desk saying a room with two doubles was now available. We changed rooms immediately and it turned out to be one of the largest rooms I have ever stayed in while in NYC. Needless to say we were utterly pleased with how it worked out. TO thank the front desk, I bought them a nice box of chocolates from Dean and Deluca. Believe it or not they were so thankful that one of them called us to express gratitude. But the truth is that we were the lucky ones.
  13. I was in New Orleans last week and I wanted to update everyone on the status of a few hotels. 1st the Fairmaont has been permanently closed. (Or at least that what I was told.) Regardless it is nowhere near reopening. Moreover the Hyatt Regency will be closed for at least one more year and possibly two. The hotel Monaco was taken over by the Hilton was recently reopened under the Hilton name. Most other hotels on the lists appear accurate. I would not expect the highest level of service as there appears to be a lack of service employees as housing is hard to come by. 60% of the city remains without power or water, pending completion of the levees. Further, it seems as if the water pressure is insufficient to go to the uppermost floors of the tallest buildings. This really does not affect the hotels as none of them are that tall except the Hyatt and it is closed. I stayed at the St. James Hotel and I will write a review at a later date.
  14. This is a new listing for your board: 4* New Orleans Convention Center and Arts District Ammenties Boutique Weight Room Swimming Pool Restaurant Internet Access I was a tad surprised to get this hotel as all rating systems, eg AAA and Mobil rate it 3*. Moreover the pool is more like a jacuzzi. Regardless, the price was right and I will relay my stay and a review of the hotel after I return to vouch whether it is or is not a 4*.
  15. We recently stayed at the Sheraton in Fisherman
  16. This is a hotel that does not appear on the master list so I wanted to post it. I booked it through the link on this page. Westin Hotel Greater Downtown Portland Customer Favorite Amenities Fitness Restaurant Business Center It seems as if most weekends next year can be had for $69 to $72 per night
  17. I wanted to post this as I don't see this hotel posted on the list of hotels. Hilton Bonaventure 4* with the following amenities Fitness Pool Restaurant Business
  18. There is now a bus that runs to and from the airport and goes directly to downtown's Union Station that costs $3. From there one can take a cab to the hotel or the subway at Union Station. For information on this service go to lawa.org.
  19. A friend of mine also booked a room at this rate and received confirmation, and was not contacted again. Thus I assume the rate is valid and marriott is honoring the rate. But let me know if anyone else knows otherwise. Thanks.
  20. By the way the hotel was a four star in greater downtown Portland with the following amenities: boutique, restaurant, fitness, spa, internet access, golf and business center. If the order had gone through the entire bill for the 4 nights would have been $76. Oh well, I suppose it would not be fair to take advantage of an obvious mistake.
  21. I saw a boutique hotel in Portland for $14 per night for 2/16/07 to 2/20/07 and proceded to reserve a room, but after I filled in all the info and placed my order, instead of receiving confirmation, I got a message that said this rate is no longer available. I am not sure if there is a mechanism for that when a ridicuously rate appears, the system senses something is wrong and rejects the order. Anyway, I am sorry to say that I did not get the room.
  22. On May 24th to 29th there is a 3.5 star hotel listed for $96-99. It features the following amenities. Near beach Pool Fitness Business Laudry Does anyone know what this is? (I'm in the pre pre planning stages, but if I book something don't worry, as I will use savingsbarn.)
