  1. Used PRICELINE link on this site to bid for 2.5* in Federal Way/Auburn. $49 was rejected, $52 was rejected but $56 was accepted and upgraded to 3* Clarion. I am very happy to stay at the Clarion, the reviews on it are great. I was hoping for it when I bid in this zone. I used the Extend Your Stay feature to add the 13th as I had to change check in and check out dates to rebid because I could not add another zone and risk staying in it. I am working in South Seattle during this time and this area is already a longer drive than I normally have. I wanted to add Renton/Kent but the choice wasn't given. I assume because Priceline considers Federal Way/Auburn Tacoma and not Seattle. My boss reimburses up to $50 a night and I hosed myself on the Doubletree at the airport in April so I needed to stay within budget this time but I will not stay at any of the ESA properties, I've had major problems with them.
  2. Hotwire: 2.5* $49 Auburn/Federal Way for Aug 14-17 Amenities: Laundry The list shows Holiday Inn Express but they have more amenities and I can't find one listed as being in Federal Way or Auburn on any other website. There is also a 3* for $69 with pool, business center, breakfast and wireless inet
  3. Bid $47 and $49 on 2.5* in Federal Way/Auburn and was rejected. Bid again by changing check in date. Wanted to add Renton to that bid but it wasn't an option. I can't stay in any other Tacoma area, Federal Way is already pushing it for distance to where I'm working.
  4. For Aug 13-18 I bid $47 on 2.5* in Renton and was rejected. I added the airport and raised to $48 and was rejected. I changed my check in to the 14th and bid $49 and was rejected. I'm not very experienced at this and not sure where to go now. I vastly prefer the 2.5*s in Renton to the 3* Holiday Inn formerly Select. I had a bad experience there but it would be acceptable. The 3*s at the airport almost all have high parking fees so not really a big bargain. Hotwire is showing 2.5* in Renton for only $43 but I'm sure it is the formerly Studios Plus now ESA Deluxe and I simply refuse to stay there again. 3*s are well over $100 which I simply cannot do.
  5. Stayed five nights in April 2008 was given a room in Outer Mongolia :) Booked on Hotwire using the link on this site. It was very easy to get in and out of the parking lot daily going behind the hotel but the price of $16 per night is steep. Easy to get to the 509 freeway and right into Seattle daily. Much faster than I5. The room was big and comfortable but no microwave or fridge which I thought odd for a hotel of this price. I've stayed in much cheaper hotels that had both..... The bed was very comfortable but I had to crank down the AC because there is no sheet, just a duvet and I got hot. There was a huge compressor in the maintenance room next door that went off once an hour but I got used to it quickly and was too tired to ask for another room. I was completely unpacked and almost asleep when it went off the first time. This farthest wing was almost empty so it was quiet and there was minimal noise from the parking lot. I would have preferred the lake view but the parking lot view was fine. I hiked to the lobby twice to use the free computers by the bar but they were in use both times. I declined to eat at the restaurants as I had my car I could go elsewhere for much less money.
  6. Glad to hear it, I've stayed at the now ESA Deluxe formerly Studio's Plus in Renton and it was foul.
  7. If you have a car please note their parking is approx $16 a night. It is a very nice hotel, I've stayed their multiple times.
  8. Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Pool Restaurant High Speed Access I was just certain it was going to be the Radisson Gateway. Nothing is certain in Hotwireland..... :) Looking under packages the Doubletree showed (s) by pool and restaurant indicating there were more than one of each. They also have Laundry and Business Center icons when looking up by packages. When I clicked details after booking the (s) were shown but not before..... The Doubletree charges $16 a night for parking, the Radisson has free parking (though park and fly has a fee) I did use the links on this board to access HOTWIRE.
