  1. Accepted bid at $35 ... I inched up from $33 (previous low bid reported). Would've liked the Springhill Suites, but this will do fine considering the rate on Courtyard's website was $179. Total w/taxes = $47.77 Used the PRICELINE link as always! Thanks Better Bidding!
  2. Was hoping for the Hyatt Place, but the Courtyard will more than do! Inched up to $51 over 2 days ... received +$12 @ $44, +$13 @ $46, +$14 @ $48, and +$14 @ $50 ... then hit $51. Courtyard was $99 online ... Hyatt Place was $109 Used BetterBidding PRICELINE link as always ... thanks!
  3. Inched up to this point over time ... tried to include Airport Area as well to try for Hyatt Place, but this is what came up ... didn't really care either way. $42 bid ... $54.91 w/taxes. Hotel website was showing $99 ... Sheraton which also comes up in same area showed $139 ... Hyatt Place at airport was $113. Used the Better Bidding link ... THANKS as always!
  4. Snagged this on the first bid ... two rooms for a total of $103.64 Online Rate was $79 ... I was suprised my opening bid was accepted ... I had a nice advanced bidding strategy lined up (15 free re-bids) and didn't need it, so maybe one could've picked this up lower. Still the lowest I've seen a 3* in the area go for. Reviews on Trip Advisor were solid! Used the Better Bidding link ... thanks as always!
  5. The exterior wasn't too pleasing as I pulled up to the hotel, but the room was very adequate. I paid a little more than I expected for a 2* hotel ($40 bid), but Dubuque seems to have fairly pricey lodging. The girl behind the desk was really great and suggested a local Mexican restaurant which turned out to be great. The room was fairly updated and clean for the most part -- not very big, but not overly small at all. The pool area looked alright--it's not too big, but there is a hot tub as well. Breakfast was your typical continental fare. Location was quite a ways from downtown, so that could be a good or bad thing depending on your needs. All in all an OK place!
  6. Just wanted to note ... by the time we checked in this hotel had switched over to a Ramada Inn.
  7. $52.31 w/taxes ... thought I might get the Holiday Inn downtown. Oh well ... assuming I get a double bed room, this same hotel room would go for $90.39 w/taxes booking directly. Started 2 days ago w/a $38 bid (received +$11 counter offer), same at $39, then hit at $40 this am. Used the Better Bidding PRICELINE Link --- thanks as always!
  8. So now the Hilton is a 3* again? Recently it's been reported as a 2.5* ...
  9. I am now thinking the Central Omaha one isn't Doubletree b/c it doesn't say "suites" among the amenities???
  10. Sorry to leave that out ... 10/16/08 ... this Thursday night ... for one night only ... 2 rooms.
  11. 3* in West Omaha -- amenities include: fitness, pool, restaurant, business center, laundry Best guess the Crowne Plaza? 3* in Central Omaha -- amenities include: fitness, pool, restaurant, business center, laundry, golf nearby Best guess the Doubletree Suites? Thank you for your time!
  12. Used PRICELINE link as always ... one free rebid and worked my way up to this figure. Four rooms for 1 night. Worked out to be $48.81/room with taxes and fees. THANKS as always!
  13. I have been working on this one for a while ... was trying for the Hoover area as well. After $55 was rejected for ONLY Hoover this time, I bid ONLY Inverness and hit for $55. Both the Hoover and Inverness Hyatt Place were $104.25 prepaid online ... doesn't seem like there's a lot of Hoover hits out there period however. After the price was looking higher, I took a stab at 2* in Hoover for $35, $36 with no luck ... the La Quinta in that area was $65 online. Thanks again! Used the PRICELINE link above like always!
  14. Rate online was $94 (w/o taxes) ... this worked out to be $62.015/room/nite. I inched up over a few days and $51 was the magic # ... received counteroffers of +$13 at $46, then +$14 at $49, $50. Used the PRICELINE link above ... THANKS as always! Reviews I've read indicate this is a GREAT place!
  15. How DUMB of me ... sorry, I am not new to this so I have NO excuse. Courtyard by Marriott 110 Mobile Dr Spartanburg, SC
  16. Hotel was going for $118 online ... I picked up 4 rooms for $172.80 total ... equaling $43.20/room taxes and all. I had 2 free re-bids in the area (Duncan, Greer), but picked this up on the first bid. I used the PRICELINE link at the top right of the board ... THANKS!
