my search hotwire shows this 3* for $69 per night Suite Near Beach Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access kitchenette my guess is the Doubletree Suites Galleria which is great for that price. This is a "Condotel" which is a combined timeshare/hotel concept. When I stayed in April, I had a brand new large one bedroom suite with a full kitchen. You can walk to the beach over the Intercoastal Bridge but I hope your not carrying too much. Parking is extra.

that is a very good price for that time of year. The hotel gets good reviews. The best available rate is $309 and with AAA at $272.35.

based on a hotel & car package search it appears to be the Best Western Lakeside. If you decide to purchase please use the link to HOTWIRE on the board.

personally, I'd stay away from West Disney, WDW and Sand lake zones and 2* level for now. I hope you realize with a 2* you could get an "extended stay" type hotel with one queen bed in the room. (Is that ok?) on hotwire there is a 3* hotel in the Universal area for $45 that matches the Clarion Universal. (a match based on a hotel and car for the same dates). priceline has this as a 2.5* in the US/SW zone. I would guess you could get this for less on priceline maybe the upper $30's to low $40's. You have to be acceptable to any 2.5* in the zone or maybe even an upgrade to a 3*. A vacation Package search on priceline reveals the Clarion Universal to be one of the least expensive 2.5 options. if you'd like a specific strategy based on this let "us" know.
