  4. Sequenced from $50, $55, $60, $65, then got it at $69. Still a great price as this is a $90 savings over all other sites for this hotel that night. Thanks Betterbidding.com!!
  5. Very happy with this deal and hotel. 62% off of Priceline's normal price and Expedia as well ($159 nite). Thanks again, Betterbidding.com!!
  6. Great hotel and a fantastic rate at $70/room per nite for 2 rooms! Best rate elsewhere was $139 plut tax, and I think Hotwire had it at $82. Thanks again to Betterbidding.com for giving me insights on the hotels and rates.
  7. Started IL-Chicago ORD North 4-star bid with $60, Priceline offered one-time up-bid of $89. I passed, and added in Franklin Park (max 2 star) and tried $70, which was rejected. Added in ORD South and re-bid at $60 and got 4-star Hyatt Regency locked in...very happy as it is a nice hotel, near the airport and where my son works, and the lowest internet price I could find on this hotel was $139 before taxes. Score! Thanks Betterbidding.com!
  8. Searched HOTWIRE through Better Bidding and found a $52/night rate. Beats all others by $13/room on their hottest deals. Good reviews, too. Thanks again for the guidance!
  9. Got this smokin deal by reading about another member's experience for this same weekend. Started at $49, Priceline came back and offered it at $61 for the same details. I passed and added in a zone 3 (Chantilly which did not have a 4 star zone) and plugged in $54, and Priceline accepted the bid. Thanks to Betterbidding.com and the members for sharing their successes...made my weekend!
  10. Just wanted to let you know that the property is fantastic. I tipped the front desk clerk $20 and got upgraded to the 18th floor in a corner room with views of the northeast (and paid $80 on priceline plus the $25 resort fee). The rooms are excellent (total electronically controlled features, super comfortable beds, a large combined shower and separate soak tub, large vanity area....a nice sized/comfortable sleeping and work area -- all very deluxe), outstanding restaurants (dined at both Julian Serrano's Tapas and Sage -- really terrific food without stupid pricing with great service), the gaming folks were all very pleasant (and not a loud or annoying casino environment, etc), the surrounding public spaces, shopping and art walk were excellent, and the comps were generous for our time in the casino. Overall, an outstanding stay and would go back again at twice the price -- a real jewel on the strip-- I will never stay at Venetian or Palazzo again...even if they begged.
  11. Based on board info., figured what Hotwire was showing at $92/nite for the amenities indicated was likely Vdara. Saw that Aria bids in the same time frame were coming up around $115/nite. Went on Priceline and figured I would start at $80/night for a 5 star in the South Strip Hotel area (location 9) to see if I could beat Howire by $12/nite (I'm a cheapskate on hotel room pricing!). Very stoked to see that Aria came up as my win for $80/nite. T :) hat is half price to any other web site I checked. DIG! Amenities: Resort, Casino, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business As always, I clicked through to both sites through your website. Thanks BB and all the posters, you've saved me a bundle again!!
  12. Clicked through BB to PRICELINE -- seems to be better by $62 from both Holiday Inn's own website and Priceline. Nice savings on $180 minimum on this 3 night stay. Great deal, nice hotel...am very happy. Thanks BB!
  13. While there was no recent comparative info on the board for this area, I compared to 3 star on Hotwire at $62 and took a chance with a $49 bid on Priceline for a 3 star in the same area. Got lucky with the Radisson...great reviews (avg 8.5 of 10) with Priceline's normal price at $139. Bid through Betterbidding.com...more wins than Vegas! Thanks BB!
  14. l,Hey Cheryl Ends up, we got a fantastic room....king bed (which is not always a sure thing here). VERY nice room, amenities are great, the front desk folks upgraded us for the 4 nights as we are celebrating our anniversary late...so we got put on the Diamond Hilton Honors Floor (20 th floor) for no extra cost. I tipped the front desk guy $60 after I went to the room and came back downstairs to thank him. He was stunned at the tip and was so appreciative. The lobby is gorgeous. In the rooms, the showers are AWESOME (tons of water from a large showerhead with endless hot, hot water--felt like I came out of a great spa! Beds are so comfortable as well. Super quiet room/floor, great thermostat. We are very happy with the hotel and the deal we got as well. Even better, the Cubs have won 7 of their last 9 games, shut out the Dodgers last night in Wrigley and are going to sweep Tony and the redbirds this weekend....can you stand it???!! Have fun and good luck with your hotel stay...!
  15. Originally bid 4* at $60 thinking I might get the Hyatt based on other postings, but was rejected up to $72 adding in River North. Added 3.5* at $55 for grins and got nothing. Logged out and immediately came back on and tried Millennium Park area again for 4* hotel at $79 and got the Palmer House. Most other travel sites have this in the $229 to $239 range for these 3 nights. Not my favorite hotel in Chicago, but also am not unhappy at all, particularly at this price during the Food Show (which I will be attending). Saved a whopping 64% or $505.00 off the prices of the other sites for the same 3 nights at this hotel which is incredible!! That savings pays for our flights from LA or dinnrs and the Cubs game on friday vs. the lowly Cardinals!! Thanks again Betterbidding for your guidance -- fantastic as always! :)
  16. As an update -- this is a tired property. Not bad, but not great. For $40 more, they upgraded us to a high room view of the bay and city, which was nice. Had our own private balcony as well. Spacious room relatively speaking with a good sized dressing/vanity area, etc. They had just shampooed the carpeting which was good/bad -- it was clean, but because they didn't tell us about it, our socks got soaked immediately and had to have them bring us up slippers to walk around our room in. The service was uneven as well (had to fix a dripping bath faucet that the plumber complained about repairing the whole time--and then actually didnt even fix it). The building is just kind of boring cement and you almost feel like you are in a huge warehouse...just kind of a cold/stark feel to it. The surrounding area is virtually all business/financial, so it is not in a very vibrant area for walking around in the evening (it is across the street from the Embarcadero tho).
  17. As an update, this was really a beautiful 4 star hotel-- 3 blocks from Camden Yards for anyone interested and right in the middle of the Inner Harbor area. The rooms have been recently updated and mine was unbelievably spacious. Nice lounging area and decent sized bath with a flat screen tv in there as well. First class surroundings within the hotel and the staff was amazing. they opened up the large library-style lounge on the 2nd floor for my business partners and I to meet and grab a bite to eat at midnight when we arrived. They brought us room service orders to the lounge and even opened wine for us as well (they had to open the bar to get that too). The next morning we had the same location for a larger business meeting and they waited on us hand and foot. Very comfortable nice property, decent food and wonderful, accomodating service. I would definitely stay here again. :)
  18. As an update, this hotel was very nice and in a fantastic location relative to an airport property -- 2 minutes from the terminal at Logan and has an absolutely stunning view of the harbor and the Boston city skyline in the atrium style restaurant. Great staff, too. Very accomodating / friendly and the rooms were very nice/clean. This price was a steal.
  19. Started out bidding 2 rooms for 4* in the Dulles-North Reston area at $51 and was rejected. Raised bid to $58 and added Sterling-Ashburn area which only has 3.5* as the highest option. Rejected again. Added 3.5* for both areas and took the bid down to $53 and was accepted. Am very happy with the selection as it is newer, is near where I have to be in the morning, and is listed at $179 and $189 per night on most websites for a savings of almost $300 with tax on the 2 rooms for one nite -- pays for my airfare back to LA!! I clicked through your website to steal this deal...thanks again Betterbidding for saving me some serious cheese! Amenities: Remote control TV w/ premium channels Radio Alarm Clock Business services Telephone w/ voicemail Iron and ironing board Hairdryer 24 hour front desk Full Service Restaurant Room service :)
  20. Bid $65 for 3 rooms at 4* inner harbor and was accepted first time at Inter-Continental. Should have read down the page a bit as others hit at $60 a week later. Also, should have considered there are no other 4* rooms in that area on Priceline, so could have started much lower and bid up. Oh well, it was a late night and still got a killer deal by referencing this website (most other websites have this at $229/night). I also saved $15 a night/room from what Hotwire was showing for what I think is the same hotel based on the amenities. Thanks again Betterbidding for saving me serious cheese and affording me the opportunity to stay in a great hotel! And as always, clicked through the website for Priceline, too.
  21. :) Based on comments from the board, bid $60 first time around (knowing $68 was accepted for Feb and Hotwire seemed to show this same hotel at $82). Accepted the first time around. STOKED! As always, clicked through Betterbidding. com. This forum has been very accurate and has saved me over a thousand dollars in travel costs just this past year alone...Thanks Betterbidding!! oops...made a mistake when posting the price under the subject...should be $60, not $68. And this was $120 under the main travel websites, too.
  22. Tried 4* in SOMA, USW and USE in progressions of $75, $80 and $85, but got rejected all 3 times. Added in Financial District and went back down to $80 and got the 4* Hyatt Regency SF. Not thrilled with the property per se, but it is fine and on average represents a $100/nite savings vs. most other websites, so am really happy about that -- pays for one of our SWA tickets up from OC. Booked through Betterbidding PRICELINE link with guidance from same...thanks Betterbidding!
  23. Started bidding for a 4* Revere-Logan Airport area at $55, was rejected. Added a 3.5* at $50 and was rejected. Added Harbor Front-Aquarium area at $65 and was rejected. Added Quincy-Faneuil Hall-Financial at $65 and was rejected. Added a 3* for all 3 areas at $55 and was accepted. Travelocity has this hotel at $190 tonight, so am stoked about $55! Clicked through Betterbidding's PRICELINE link. Thanks again, Betterbidding -- you saved me over $180 on 2 hotel rooms for the next 2 nights. Paid for my airfare and rental car...THANKS!
  24. Bid $35 for a 3* on Priceline near PVD airport and they accepted. Based it off of this site's member comments. Travelocity had this same hotel at $80. Great reviews on this boutique hotel as well...very modern/upscale appearance. Very happy with the results and clicked through Betterbidding's PRICELINE link. Thanks again, Betterbidding!
