  1. Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Laundry, Hi-Speed Internet Booked through the HOTWIRE link at $59/nite per room for 2 rooms on 12/2/09. Orbitz hasd it at $135/nite. Great savings!! Thanks BB!
  2. d $42 ea. for 2 rooms and was asked to increase the bid one-time to $12 to $54 which I did. Felt this was a better deal than what appeared to be the same hotel on Hotwire at $64. Orbitz had the same hotel/date foir $101. Happy with the outcome and clicked to PRICELINE through betterbidding.com. Thanks!
  3. Paris Hotel Ameneties Description on Hotwire: Casino, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Golf Nearby, Spa Services
  4. Not much better than a special Expedia had on this hotel for $90, but like the property anyway and my wife and I love dining at Mon Ami Gabi on the patio to watch the Bellagio watershow and people watching on the strip. Booked through Betterbidding HOTWIRE link, of course. Thanks BB for the guidance and support!
  5. This hotel was listed as a 3.5* in BB's Priceline Hotel list today, but is apparently now considered a 4* on Priceline. Originally started with 4* for MTE at $160 (rejected), then added CPS at $169 (rejected), then added MTW at $175 and was accepted at The Algonquin. This averages a savings anywhere from 24% to 39% depending on the website. Not one of my bigger scores relative to the price gap vs. retail, but am still very happy with it considering the lofty hotel rates during the Labor Day weekend in NYC. I clicked through to PRICELINE from your website. Thanks for the help as always!
  6. Referenced this 4* area from the hotel bids. Tried $60, rejected. Used your tip to add a lower star area and included 4* in downtown Philly again, increased the bid to $65 and won exactly where I wanted to stay. Total price is $82 vs. $176, resulting in a 53% discount vs normal Priceline.com. I stayed in this same hotel last month by winning a bid because of BetterBidding.com. Love this site and thanks everyone for taking time to share your insights...it makes a BIG difference!
  7. Bid $75 for 3.5* and came back with Marriott Newport RI. Very happy with the outcome considering both Expedia and Priceline's normal web page had this at $319. Booked through Betterbidding PRICELINE link. Got the general bidding range from other recent posters....thanks everyone for another spectacular savings!
  8. Based on board input, bid $75/nite for a 4 star hotel requesting 3 rooms, and happily ended up with Hotel Monaco. Total cost with Tax and Insurance per room for 2 nights is $186. Total savings for all 3 rooms for 2 nights vs. Priceline's price of $269/nite (includes tax) is $1,056! I'm lovin' it! Booked the room through BetterBidding's PRICELINE link. Thanks everyone!
  9. :) With input from the board, bid $75 and got it for the night. With Tax and Insurance, totaled $98. This is a savings of $44 on Expedia for a non-refundable room. Happy with the property (Priceline even had the rooms at $249.nite + tax)! Booked thru BetterBidding's PRICELINE link. Thanks all!
  10. :) :Win -- Booked through the PRICELINE link and bid $65 based on other forum comments for this period. Figured it would be either the Fairmont or Hyatt and ended up with the Hyatt. 2 rooms per night for both nights totaled $330 including tax and insurance. Savings of $864 vs. Expedia and Priceline's normal published rate for this time. Will be eating steak with the savings... thanks Better Bidding!
  11. Happypeipei's previous post gave me the current info so I could nail the same rate on Priceline (vs. their published Priceline rate of $109). Thanks Happypeipei! 3* Radisson Penn Harris (Harrisburg West) $45 per Night (4/20-4/21/09) Radisson Penn Harris Hotel & Convention Center 1150 Camp Hill Bypass Camp Hill, Pennsylvania 17011-3734 Booked through your link to PRICELINE. Thanks for saving me money!l
  12. Linked to hotwire from this website. Second time I've been able to get this property at a similar rate -- all due to the knowledge gained in this forum. This 3-star hotel's symbols on hotwire were non-smoking, fitness, pool, restaurant, business center, laundry, and internet. Thanks again Better Bidding for your help!
  13. Linked to PRICELINE through this terrific website. Bid based on comment by Lindabobhat -- $20 cheaper than Hotwire. Thanks as always! :)
  14. Booked HOTWIRE through Better Bidding. While there was no reference under the normal hotwire hotel list that I could see for this part of Boston, it seemed it was represented under the vacation package section on the 2nd page. The price on this room is $209 at all major websites. The customer I am visiting has a $149 Corp rate, and AAA supposedly gets you $100/nite. Hotwire at $63 blew them all way. :) This 3-star hotel's symbols on hotwire were non-smoking, fitness, pool, restaurant, business center, laundry, and internet. Thanks again Better Bidding for your help!
  15. Sorry bout that! Arriving Mon. 2/2 and departing Wed 2/4/09
  16. Bid $75 for 4* DuPont Circle, 2 rooms - rejected Bid $85 for 4* Georgetown Foggy Bottom, 2 rooms - rejected Bid $95 for 4* Downtown DC, 2 rooms - rejected Bid $75 for 3.5* Georgetown or DuPont Circle, 2 rooms - WIN with Washington Marriott, Georgetown (#46 out of 140 hotels according to Trip Advisor). Am very happy with the outcome considering hotels of far less quality were shown at much higher prices on hotwire (near an event I need to attend in Sterling, VA -- aka, Dullsville). Published rate for this hotel on PRICELINE, Expedia, Orbitz, etc were all $299 per nite. I consider this a steal! I clicked through to PRICELINE from the Better Bidding link. Once again, thanks to everyone for sharing your experiences as it makes a huge difference!
  17. Secured the Hyatt Lisle for Wed 9/24/08 at $55 + tax, totaling $67.11. Got the insight on the probable hotel (which was the one I wanted) from this forum. Booked it through your HOTWIRE link. As a small business owner, I appreciate everyone's willingness to share your knowledge and experiences - it saved me $132 off of PRICELINE's published price for this one night! By the way, this is a fine hotel -- stayed there this summer at $49/nite for 3 nights -- GREAT DEAL. Thanks Betterbidding!
  18. $100/night won 7/1 - 7/4/08. Didn't want to haggle this time around and Hotwire had this same area/rating at $129. Orbitz showed this same hotel at $265 per night, so I am happy with this rate. Thanks for your reviews and guidance on pricing here!!
  19. 3* Minneapolis - Downtown: Failed at $75 for 5/20/08 Note: must be something going on in town as many downtown hotels not showing room availability for the night of 5/20/08.
  20. 4* Minneapolis - Downtown: Failed at $90 for 5/20/08 Note: must be something going on in town as many downtown hotels not showing room availability for the night of 5/20/08.
  21. Park Plaza Hotel for one night on 5/20/08. Avg was $129 on Expedia, Orbitz, Travelocity. Tried $75 on 4* initially. Also tried 4* downtown at $90 and failed.
  22. Thanks much DaHammer - will keep that in mind on future bids...
  23. Orig bid on Priceline for 3/23/08 Under my sign-on: Vegas Strip North 5* $115 - Rejected Priceline countered at $155 Under wife's sign-on: Vegas Strip North 5* $130 - Rejected Priceline countered at $152 -- accepted. Title says $155 win but is actually $152 (don't know how to change the topic content...sorry!) Both Palazzo casino marketing and online rates were $199 for that night. We needed to stay here with our 3 night comp leading into it, so we could not add an area. Worked beautifully and saved 25% (more to lose at the tables...LOL). Thanks for a great forum! :)
  24. Newbie - first post, so be gentle... :) Priceline Strip North 5* Accepted Priceline offer at $171 avg per night for 3/20 - 3/24/08 for Palazzo. [*]Under my sister's sign-in, placed orig. bid at $125, Priceline offered immediate approval oppty at $171. [*]Checked under my sign-in, placed orig. bid at $150, Priceline offered immediate approval at $175. [*]Went with my sister's offer at $171/night average. Great service=Thank you!! :)
