  1. I decided to book direct, I got a hotel room right across the street from Disneyland entrance. The express deal that I was looking at went up to $91. I got the Best Western Park Place for $104.00 for those nights, which included a complimentary breakfast, and I figured I would be out $15-$20 a day to ride the ART shuttle. I like the convenience of being able to walk back and forth. I did try to bid, but did not have success. Thanks for your help, it was much appreciated!
  2. Great, thanks for your input. I am now wondering if it would be a good idea to try to bid for a 3* hotel in the Anaheim Angel Stadium area. I would be happy with any 3* in that area. What would your recommend for a bidding strategy? The current express deal for the 3* in this area that I was looking at is $81. Is there any kind of strategy to how much lower than a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal you should go? Thanks!
  3. I am seeing what you saw. 3* $81 a night with a tripadvisor rating of 7.0 or higher. I do think if could still be the Holiday Inn Anaheim Resort because I noticed that sometime they run a free breakfast for two special. Not sure though. Happy to see what you think. Thanks much!
  4. I am trying to identify the hotel for this PRICELINE EXPRESS deal. I think it may be the Holiday Inn Anaheim Resort. 3* Angels Stadium Anaheim 2/9-2/13/14 $79 a night Free breakfast Free internet Swimming pool Restaurant Thanks!
  5. So I did PRICELINE EXPRESS deals for 3 more nights and got Best Western Inn & Suites Yuma Mall for $45 a night. I remembered to use your link this time. Thanks again!
  6. You were right, it was the Best Western Inn & Suites Yuma Mall Hotel. Thanks so much for your help! I realized as soon as I went to reply to this post that I did not use the link. So Sorry! I will be more diligent next time. I very much appreciate what you do here! Thanks!
  7. Done, thanks! Guest rating is 7.0. Do you know if they round up or down on the guest rating or is it just random?
  8. I am looking at a PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal. Can you help identify this 3* hotel for $44 a night in Yuma, AZ, for the dates 1/9-1/15/14? Free Breakfast Free Internet in room Outdoor swimming pool Free Parking Restaurant Business Center Fitness Center Thanks!
  9. It depends on availability. We asked with a smile on our face, and they gave us a higher floor. Being nice and friendly to the front desk goes a long way.
  10. Great deal on nice hotel! We stayed at this hotel in July thru Priceline bidding. The hotel is a little dated like a lot of hotels in Waikiki. We enjoyed our stay very much and had no complaints. I think you get good value for you buck. The pool is nice size, although we never used it. As I recall the hot tub was on the cool side. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. I would request to be on one of the upper floors, as the rooms see to be a little nicer. We had no trouble getting two beds. We were charged no resort fee. You have to take an escalator up to the lobby, which is a little unusual. The central location is great, not too far from beach, near Subway, Burger King and other places to eat, and King's Village (shopping). There is a grocery store not too far away. This Ohana hotel is the nicest of the Ohana chain. I would stay here again. Cheeseburger In Paradise is not too far away and we never miss eating there. Aloha :)
  11. I replied to your other post on another web page already. Your bids are too low. Hawaii is tough and you won't be able to get the deals here that you may be able to get in other areas of the US. :)
  12. I searched this forum and on first bid of $40 per room was accepted by Doubletree Seattle Airport. We got two rooms for under $100. Thanks Betterbidding.com!
  13. We first bid $50 on 1/19/10 for a 4* and was not successful. Then on 1/21/10 bid $65 for 4* and received the Fiesta Americana. Thanks betterbidding.com.
  14. We didn't go to Waikiki after all, but ended up in Puerto Vallarta! I will post my priceline winning bid for that. Thanks!
  15. Thanks for your input. You came up with the same hotel that I guessed it might be. LOL. Sorry for my English. We are flying standby, so we will be booking closer to our departure, but I will be sure to post what we booked, and use your links. Thanks again!
